In 2006 I bought a brand new ‘04 F150 5.4L 3V. I lowered it, installed wheels similar to yours. Installed Pacesetter long tube headers into an off-road Y-pipe into a two chamber Flowmaster with dual outlets and tailpipes straight out the back with slant cut rolled tips! It was seriously at the time one of the best sounding trucks on the road and other guys were always chasing me down asking me what kind of exhaust I had and telling me it was the best sounding truck they ever heard! I also added a Volant CAI and a tune and 4.11 gears in the rearend. It would outrun all the trucks on the road at that time. It would run a high 14 second quarter mile at the drag strip in Sealy, Texas that is now owned by Hennessey. I decided to get a GMC 2500 Badlander Duramax 4x4 and sold the truck to my daughter’s boyfriend and have regretted ever selling it. I was going to install 11:1 high compression pistons and big cams....It was an awesome truck!
glad i found this channel . i own a 2011 f150 with the 5.0 , previously owned a 2009 f150 with the 4.6 3v let me tell you i personally liked a lot more how the 3v sounds so much better. never thinnk i hered it cammed . its sounds good
I prefer the sound of a 3v over a 5.0 any day these 3vs are just so slept on.
Refreshing to hear some nice v8 chop compared to these new ecoboost and what not

I just did comp 127400 cams in my 04 5.4L 3v. I had to replace springs and did livernoise phaser limiters. I also removed the intake runner flaps. Brendspeed is working with me on the tune still. I wish it had more chop at idle. But the power is very good.

As of right now its just a straight pipe from the cats back
5.4 L is good just change the oil an don't give it musk parts either ford or motor craft

It's a Brenspeed Detroit Rocker cam they also make them for the 5.4 3v
@@3vGiodid you have to change out anything else as well? I was looking to get the phasers and timing chain kit from freedom racing but don't know if its all compatible with aftermarket cams
@isaacmedina2957 well the detroit rocker cams are designed to work with all of your factory components only thing I changed out where the valve cover gaskets, new spark plugs and coil pack.
As for doing the timing chain you'd need to remove the whole front assembly and then retime it of course.
Swapping out cam phasers is not a bad idea to do while doing the cam swap. Just keep it mind if the chain comes off the sprockets and moves you're toast, gotta open up the whole front of the engine lol.

@ChinoFlamedUp14 up front it's on belltech adjustable coilovers now sitting at a 4in drop and the rear is the belltech 5.5 flip kit but I swapped back to stock shackles for a 6in drop so a 4/6

That's a good looking truck. I like the FX2 and FX4 color matched ones. I'd probably remove the side steps though. Did you do the cam phaser lockouts?
I dont mind the side steps since they cover the bulky frame lol. But no. For these cams cam phasers arnt necessary
Back pressure loss ? No check engine light ? You have cold air intake?
No back pressure loss. No check engine lights, oem intake for my application

@jessbigboss09 I'm looking into some JBA shorty headers right now actually. But ideally I would like to run headers, 3in pipe w/ H-pipe and duel side exits to really get the sound out of the cams.
@@3vGio. Enjoy removing those exhaust manifolds! You have to totally remove some of the studs....it’s a long job, but worth it in the end!

@ViporSneaky21 heads up 2014 year models use 2015 front suspension so just make sure you get the proper kit for your year truck. And 1 more thing, to fix your camber up front I'd recommend going with some adjustable upper control arms.
Oh last thing lol. The belltech kit is actually a 3/5.5 drop but I used the stock shackels to keep It a true 6in rear drop

I bought a Holley sniper manifold so I can make it fit the 5.4, to run it in my Mustang.
How much hp now
Brent speed says those add about 20-30 hp for the cams intake 5-10 hp
My mpgs did increase and you can definitely feel the extra power when you punch it.

Ta bien perra tu troca Compi,yo tengo una 99 Mercury mountaineer 5.0 , solo con headers pero es mi sueño ke se oyera así, tu k recomiendas ,hacerle un coyote swap o arreglar el 5.0 k ya trae y meterle un whiple,kiero un sleeper ke azorrille a la raza!!Ha ha
