- The Artisan Stream was fantastic overall, and if Intrepid can hit on everything they say they want to do with this system it could be one of the best crafting systems ever seen in an MMO.
It was so good in fact, @RitchieSH has developed a constant head bob that I have now picked up. @MeMatt will soon have it as well.

Great recap! Good to see the more complex aspects of crafting coming together. Fingers are crossed but I see what you mean by you needing to be part of a guild or community to be successful at crafting. Hopefully they provide a very good system of trading or auction to facilitate the movement of goods. With a system this complicated it could go either way, fun and engaging or heavy in cumbersome. Fingers are crossed though and I'll stay hopeful.

Complexity is a double edged sword! If the game does not manage to attract a critical mass of casuals the game will die, regardless of how epic it might be for elitists. Too complex systems become time sinks and will scare a lot of people away.

lol, path of exile is hardly dead and the crafting while being easy in the process, is just the press of buttons without any skill involve, is theoritically complex, waaaay too complex for casuals, but the game isnt dead

If casuals can get fun out of it and craft their hearts out while at the same time be complex enough for elitists, especially towards end game, then it could be perfect, jus like POE. The catch is to not over do it from the very start. If you look at POE statistics you will see they strugle to keep casual players and they are taking steps with that in POE 2.
