I'm strongly convinced Bob is not a performer or an entertainer, he just lives and goes about his day, and like all of his unbelievable stories he just so happened to chance himself in the British Bake off as a part of his day
2:11 that facial expression is priceless 🤣 Such genuine goofy goodness comes from Bob, it's like being able to smell yummy baking through the tv screen 💚
I would love a Bake Off Team-up episode. Bring back some fan favorite contestants, pair them with some celebrities for comic relief or another charity thing, and have them actually work together. I'm mainly saying this because I'm picturing someone like Selasi being paired with Bob and cracking up the entire tent the whole time.
I absolutely adore Bob Mortimer!! He makes me laugh from my belly every single time!! My favourite WILTY's are the one's with Bob, Lee Mack and David Mitchell....guaranteed sore sides and cheeks! 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
@abcxyz53 I guess I've watched it more than you then, because Greg Davies took over for Lee Mack a couple of times. But what I was just trying to say, was when all three of them were on an episode together. Bob Mortimer is not a regular. He has been on many episodes in the past, however.
I'm really jealous of the other contestants in this episode. I imagine during breaks in filming, he would regale them with absurd tales from his youth.
damn, instead of that mirror for the scones he shouldve put the scones on a gaming chair on his kitchen island and posed the mirror perfectly on a bizarre foreign instrument might’ve worked
@@abcxyz53 that’s the joke. It’s not a northern phrase, it’s a common phrase in general (I believe it started in Ireland and made its way to the UK through the north of England though). The joke was that he said it’s his catchphrase, like saying ‘thank you’ is my catchphrase
In an episode of Athletico Mince, he tells a story sbout his time on Bake Off. It involves Mary Berry screaming in her temperature controlled room, and a terrible incident between him, Kirsty Wark, some missing walnut cake and a Natiinal Trust 'farting bowl'. I believe it happened exactly ss he described it.
I'm surprised he didn't get Chris Rea to crack an egg into a bath so he could use it in one of his recipes 🤣 Not a massive fan of this show but I'll always watch anything with Bob Mortimer in it...the guy will never not make me laugh, and at the very least, smile from ear to ear! 😂👌
i wouldn’t mind at all eating bob’s pastries cos he might not be one for extreme cleanliness but he doesn’t frolic around in dog dirt and that’s the most important part
@@kellie5476 Listen to Athletico Mince podcast and he goes full Middlesbrough, plus impersonations of Geordies and Maccams ...and Scousers and Scots and West Country folks for that matter
If only the BBC would do the show we have all truly been waiting for "Celebrity Woodland Creature Cull" I think we would all watch that. Imagine Dean Gaffney, a hammer and a tree full of squirrels!
“as you know, i’ve always liked Paul…” the little snort after that is what gets me
Whenever I see Bob, I just have to think about 'do we strike you', 'what is your favourite meat' and 'would you like to be able to fly'. 😂
Nice!
I think ... once you have Fuji 9, you are a dentist (and about the location of his anus).
"Fingerprints on an abandoned handrail"
"We do beg your pardon, but we are in your garden."

He literally is not a performer or entertainer. He fell into that world by chance after being a solicitor for years
Thank god for cameras !!!
Evidently, if you have Fuji-9, you can be a baker as well as a dentist.
All the while a model for latex masks and bobble tops
He shoulda put the Fuji 9 in the scones
😂😂 evidentally ;)
And a hairdresser and a solicitor 😂
I was genuinely thinking while watching this "Cut him some slack. He's really more of a dentist than a baker."
"I think this has been flown over from France, it's that good" 😂
Wouldn't it be great to have Bob Mortimer in a cupboard and every time you feel glum you could just open a door and see his cheeky grin?
Brilliant idea. If only it wasn't a slightly arrestable offence.
@@Ztandard32 I'm sure he wouldn't mind, he seems an amiable type of chap!
@@gaynorprice-jones1826 You know, I think you are probably right. I am certain there would also be a kettle, teabags and a pack of biscuits too.

The comedic timing was amazing from the editors

Bob Mortimer is a living national treasure.
He's great!
Bob Mortimer knows that eggs are for bathing, not baking.
Yep ,all his baking knowledge comes from Chris Rea😂
We needed to place a bathtub in there

Yesssss
Margaret or marge or something, the no flour lady from the latest season, paired up with the best celebrity baker for an amazing yin yang baking team.
Love Selasi! That was an excellent series and I think your idea is so fun
Bob and David Mitchell would be hilarious 😂
I’d like to see gone fishing does bake off muted can lick the bowl

David hates going up against Bob. I love seeing him get so flustered trying to figure out if Bob's crazy stories are true or not.

More Bob, please, always, more Bob.
24/7 Bob Channel!
I just love Bob!
Nobody should ever be able to say a bad word to Bob. Everybody should always be nice to him and give him ice cream and just let him go about his day
It was always fun to see the comics bake, while entertaining us. Thanks for sharing this clip.
I'm a simple man, I see Bob Mortimer, I click
Always loads of people surrounding Bob, he’s so interesting and funny. Love bob I do 😆😊
Bob's humor fits in all situations! ❤️
That's a nice garden. I wonder if Bob said, "I do beg your pardon..."
I love Bob Mortimer ! A naturally very funny man !
It's just that Bob is the kind of Star you have to love. So no competition there.
This was awesome, loved seeing Mel too!

I think Bob would make a good "professional bakerer".

It always makes me feel warm inside how much Americans seem to enjoy Bake-Off ☺️☺️
Yes! Because there are American actors on past episodes.
Oh yes. I'd love to see Will Smith and Chris Rock on the same bake-off show ... flour and creme patisserie flying all over the place.

The person who taught Bob to bake was Steve, Bytheway.

"It's a scone, until it's eaten, then it's scon"

so was this before the 7-tooth bridge or after the KitKat Chunky?

My favourite thing about this might be the fact Bob asked for a mirror for his usual insane reasons, and they actually provided him one.

I'd like Bob to host it.
Scones light and fluffy with lemon zest, the best! 👍😋
Is it just me or does Bob Mortimer remind you of Bilbo Baggins?

What sort of Regional accent does he have? Liverpool? American here. Thanks.

Bob's big mistake was that he he didn't have Chris Rea along to crack his eggs

One of them is a barber and does his own dentistry
If only they replaced Paul Hollywood with Carole Beardsley - Bob could just make 7-egg scrambles and poachies every round!

And instead of the Hollywood Handshake, you could just have a go on her fronties.
Bob Mortimer is secretly a Hobbit. He just got back from helping Sam-wise with an orc horde and potato stew.
