I had a lot of hope because David has, in the past, recalled things Bob has said in previous episodes. But in this case, he failed to remember that in Bob's "I do my own dentistry" story, he revealed that he had "one large tooth", by which he meant his top teeth were one stretch of false teeth.
Yeah, if one looks at the video clip from that episode, the motion across his teeth that he does there remarkably well traces the teeth that he counts here. His literal description was "one very long piece of teeth". It's a pretty safe bet that it was that piece that came loose, and nothing more. One could say that Bob is kinda lying, but David is to blame for not remembering.
For those surprised by David not remembering Bob doing his own dentistry and having one big tooth on upper level - that was many many series ago and I doubt he rewatches Bob's or any of this show's clips as fanatically as some of us do.
If I were David, and knew that Bob was coming on the show, I would spend the entire week analyzing every episode of his chaotic presence--like a professional athlete reviewing tapes of their opponents.
Bob is the undisputed master of this game. He is also probably single-handedly responsible for a dangerous increase in David's blood pressure over the past decade.

It's easy to just dodge questions and sound shaky. I really think his is the best show on TV, and I'm American. This is a show that is always entertaining and always appropriate for the whole family. Everyone in my house watches it together, and there isn't another show that we all do that for. And Bob is my favorite...well, Bob and Claudia Winkelman.
This is like watching an overly confident physics professor suddenly get a look at Cthulhu. Just watching David's mind bend in horror at the Eldritch Impossibility that is Bob's Life Experience is fascinating. :D
I wonder if David gets any solace from the fact that it’s all about him. All those talented people in front and behind the camera, everyone who has some part of the process of making this show, are all contributing to the single goal of booking Bob as often as possible and making sure that he’s sitting in that seat, and that he’s the one reading off the card. 😂

It wasn't the dentistry so much that convinced me, it was knowing he had false teeth and Bob leading them to the answer by asking about 3 teeth. He tried to help them. Plus, it's Bob and a story about teeth, so of course it's true.

I was never a fan of Reeves & Mortimer (just not my humour, sorry) but when Bob started appearing on WILTY his personality really came to the fore and he quickly became the best guest ever, with Henning Wehn (another master storyteller) coming a close second. Just brilliant!
