Hello! Some of you asked for our address to send us a package (food). TH-cam is censoring a lot of comments, so I didn't see most of them. I got notified but then the comments disappeared. So if you want to send us a package, please email us (link in the video description). Thank you! Hallo!

Quark is not sour milk, but a very fresh type of cheese. The milk is simply thickened with a little rennet and lactic acid

Good thing about desserts (and food in general) in Germany is, that we are right in the middle and thus have so many neighbours. You'll find influences in cuisine from France, Poland, Czechia, Austria, Scandinavia etc. Also Italian, Greek and Turkish food became part of German food culture as many people from these countries immigrated from the late 1950s onwards.

4:45 how to make fried apples? Easy, liquidy dough like for baked chicken/ duck just a bit thicker and seasoning for the dough is just salt and you fry them after being dipped. Seasoning comes after and we love sugar mixed with cinnamon sprinkled over them.

Consistency-wise "Quark" is somewhere between cream cheese and greek yoghurt.

Mmm Bratapfel. Take out the seed housing of the apple and fill with cinnamon sugar and a butter flake. In the oven it goes. Choose aromatic hard apple like Braeburn. If you want to put nuts and Marzipan it gets fancy. Serve with custard or ice cream.

Fried apple rings: you remove the core with the seeds from the apple (usually using a apple corer, a round cutter) and then slice the apple in thick rings. For the dough can be found different recipes; mostly it is about 200 to 250 ml milk, 250 g flour, a small pinch of salt and 1 or 2 eggs. The dough should be still a bit runny respectively viscous. You dip the apple slices in it and throw them then in hot fat or oil to deep-fry them. After retrieving them you powder them with icing sugar and maybe some cinnamon. Alternatively you could use also beer dough (replacing the milk with beer, you'll need for the same amount of floor however only about 150 to 200ml beer).
Apple schorle is pure apple juice with about a third of carbonated water mixed in - a very refreshing drink.
Quark is a kind of cream cheese; it is also an intermediate product while making hard cheese. It can be eaten as savory "Kräuterquark" (quark with herbs) as a side dish or as sweet dessert with fruits. It is also used to bake German cheese cakes, where the sweetened quark is either baked with the cake or mixed with whipped cream and some thickener (like agar-agar, gelatine or potato starch depending on the recipe) and put on a pre-baked cake base (this variety is called Quark-Sahne-Torte - "Torte" from ital. torta meaning in German a layered cake with whipped cream, mousses or similar fillings, while "Kuchen" is used for "simpler" cakes lake fruitcakes or pies).

The Applerings are Made in a Dough. It´s a litte bit like a Pankecake Dough. You can fry it, backe it in the Oven or cook it in a Pan. I prefer to add some Powder Sugar and Cinnamon on it. Ist a taste of Christmas.

Hi there, very nice video again! :) You can actually make quark yourself, by draining yoghurt. If you put yoghurt over night in a coffee filter, with a jar or bowl underneath and leave it in the fridge, you have quark the next day. :) We eat it also for a main dish, with boiled potatoes or on bread. You can make sweet quark with fruit and sugar or savoury quark with cut chives, small onion pieces, small apple pieces and a bit of salt. Delicious and very healthy!

The fried apple rings have been adopted into international cuisine as apple beignets. You can find recipes on TH-cam or elsewhere on the web search for recipes that use clarified butter and peanut oil for frying. Angels chore is half apple juice and half sparkling water. In Thailand apple juice is usually too sweet so add a splash of lime.

    Recipe for deep-fried apple rings:
    600 g apples
    50 g sugar
    125 g flour
    20 g butter, melted
    2 egg yolks, whisked
    4 tbsp liqueur
    100 ml milk or beer
    1 tbsp brandy
    oil, for frying
    salt
Peel the apples, cut out the cores and cut the apples into slices about 1/2 cm thick. Sprinkle with a little sugar in a bowl and pour over the liqueur. Leave to stand for approx. 1/2 hour. Meanwhile, for the pastry, mix the egg yolk, flour, cooled butter, 1 tbsp sugar and a pinch of salt. Add the brandy and mix with enough milk to make a semi-liquid batter. Leave the dough to rest at room temperature for approx. 30 mins, stir again before using.
Drain the apple rings, dip into the batter, lift out in batches and deep-fry in a large pan with very hot oil until golden brown on both sides. Lift out and place on paper towels to drain. Keep warm until all the rings are fried. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar to taste.
Insider tip: very tasty with vanilla ice cream!
