I had my first son Timothy, in February 2019 just after you had Flynn, my second boy Myles, was born November 2020 and looking back at your pregnancy videos with Flynn got me through that, I just found out today that baby #3 is a little girl, and I'm a week behind you with my due date! If your body is feeling up to it, you should do some more diys and crafts for the twins room. I know you mentioned that it's being done professionally, but it think it'd be really great way to bond with them and pick up your spirits while crafting.
Yes I feel like it is a good way to occupy herself when it's hard for her to get up and move everywhere. Plus, it will be kinda cool to have a little memory to look back on in the twins room

I love how open minded & honest Colleen is she's a beautiful person inside and out!!! I didn't mind pregnancy so much, but I REFUSED to take pictures or let anyone else take pictures of me.. now I regret that SO MUCH. And I'm not one that usually has regrets, I prefer to learn and move on. Pregnancy is so important and beautiful & it's sad that my kids will never know what I looked like while pregnant with them 😞
Don't be sad. My mother didn't take picture when she was pregnant with me or my brother and so we didn't see her pregnant with us but the photos that really matter to me are the baby photos
With Flynn's literally spicy comment, have you checked if maybe he could be allergic to them? Spicy or itchy and tingly are all the same kind if description that kids give sometimes when met with a food allergy reaction.
I dont think so, he ate it eventually and he seemed fine since she never said anything seemed wrong. I just think he's 2 and didn't know what to say to get out of eating a food he didn't want to eat.

Sometimes it just causes a person discomfort, and for young children, who have little grasp for words, food allergies can often present themselves in the same behavior as Flynn was showing. It's just something that could be useful for someone to know. Yes, kids are picky, but food allergies are always something that could be there too. If it was life threatening they would have already known by now and things would be obviously stated as such. Not all hoofbeats are horses, that is true, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't look.
I’m allergic to celery! I never knew I was allergic to it, because it just made my mouth tingly and “spicy” feeling, but since it smells so strong I thought everyone’s mouth felt like that. It made my tongue feel raw-ish? Which made it spicy and tingly. I mentioned it to my mom as I got older, and she was like “oh you’re allergic to it, let me see your tongue” and yup, I am! It is sooo mild, not life threatening at all, but it’s better if I stayed away since allergies can become worse under different circumstances.
I felt really happy when you started discussing Flynn's education bc it depends so much on your passions as a person, not just a system to fit everyone the same, bc... Everyone's different and that should be embraced! Ihave this friend that's so creative but school made him feel not the best bc it just wasn't his way of learning or the things he was good at. It always bothered me how he could paint and sculpt like no one else but would feel bad for not being the best at math and writing essay's and stuff

She is slowly getting better as time goes on, but she still wakes at night. I also don't sleep well either and never have. But it felt so good hearing you say it and knowing I am not alone.

I really appreciate your approach to schooling. When I was in the classroom in high school I was a B & C student, I would get bored & distracted. When I switched to online classes for college I became am A+ student for both of my degrees. Learning at my own pace & being able to move on to the next subject immediately changed everything for me. My mom never took pics when she was pregnant & I don’t have a single one, it makes me sad, i really wish I had a few. I’m glad you’re taking them this time around.
When Colleen told us she was pregnant I cried. The fact that I get to be pregnant at the same time is so amazing to me because her video's mean so much to me. Now it turns out that we are EXACTLY three weeks apart (monday is also my 'week change day', I will be 18 weeks next monday). It just makes me so happy to go through this experience for the first time at the same time as Colleen.

@@jmk0574 With how bad her Hyperemesis gravidarum is/was and the fact that she fairly regularly needs IVs for anti nausea, fluids and supplements she probably qualified and even if she doesn’t now (her body may have adjusted I haven’t watched in a bit) she might have been referred early on and decided to stay with the new doctor
I’m an educator and a lightbulb moment went off in my brain when you said that the creative side of things are really important to you when educating your son. If Flynn likes to be creative I would recommend a private Reggio Emilia based school or a school that has what is known as the “creative curriculum”. Both encompass creative thought, expression, and invention. Nature based and outdoor learning schools are awesome too!

When your apps compares the size of your babies to random things, are they considering that you have twins and not a single baby? I could be wrong, but I would assume twins don’t grow quite as big in utero since there isn’t as much room. Just wondered if they are ACTUALLY the size of beanie babies or are they slightly smaller!
I think they grow at the same rate but a lot of the times come out sooner because there isn’t enough space !! not certain though, but colleen did say she’s expecting them earlier than 40 weeks
Some twins grow at a slower rate because of blood flow issues from sharing a placenta, but the type of twins Colleen is carrying should grow at a normal rate. Also twins can be carried to 40 weeks, it’s just that most doctors in the US tend to induce before that.
As a mom and teacher I highly recommend doing some form of preschool. Even if it is not daily. It really sets a good foundation for later years and is not as academically challenging.
I enjoy structure so I love hearing people's birth plans lmao I'm like "oooo yes PLANS" obvi I know births can be unpredictable but still I like the intention of organization 😅

Hey Colleen!! Look into Waldorf schools!! They’re really cool!! I went to a school called mariposa in Southern California and it really focused on creative learning.
Whenever I watch Flynn play and watch turtles with my son he says “hi flynny!” And today he said “I wish baby Flynn could come to our home to play” 😂 my son is about to turn four. He has loved to watch Flynn play during quarantine and loves trucks right along with him. So precious to have an internet friend 😭😭🥰🥰

My birth plan was “get baby out” and then telling them a drug and a procedure I didn’t want them using or doing. I’ve never heard a birth plan go as planned LOL
My plan was basically the same at Colleen's...no plan, which for me was perfect because I wasn't left feeling upset or that I failed somehow when my first ended up being an emergency c-section. He was born as he was meant to be, in the safest way possible for him...and me

That is a fantastic birth plan! I had 2 c sections and being well informed made the process so much better. I knew what I could ask for and how to ask the right questions. Most mom's want to avoid a C-section, but an emergency is unpredictable. Anybody could end with an emergency. It is going to help the stress of the situation if you are prepared for what is possible because we can't control most of birth.

I’m an educator and a lightbulb moment went off in my brain when you said that the creative side of things are really important to you when educating your son. If Flynn likes to be creative I would recommend a private Reggio Emilia based school or a school that has what is known as the “creative curriculum”. Both encompass creative thought, expression, and invention. Nature based and outdoor learning schools are awesome too!
This comment just looks so outlandish to me, I never considered that people could be in a place where they have multiple options of schools and even types of schools. I feel so mind blown by this concept

When your apps compares the size of your babies to random things, are they considering that you have twins and not a single baby? I could be wrong, but I would assume twins don’t grow quite as big in utero since there isn’t as much room. Just wondered if they are ACTUALLY the size of beanie babies or are they slightly smaller!
I think they grow at the same rate but a lot of the times come out sooner because there isn’t enough space !! not certain though, but colleen did say she’s expecting them earlier than 40 weeks
Some twins grow at a slower rate because of blood flow issues from sharing a placenta, but the type of twins Colleen is carrying should grow at a normal rate. Also twins can be carried to 40 weeks, it’s just that most doctors in the US tend to induce before that.
Funny that I only relatable thing here is Beanie baby, we can easily imagine size of it.

As a mom and teacher I highly recommend doing some form of preschool. Even if it is not daily. It really sets a good foundation for later years and is not as academically challenging.

Hey Colleen!! Look into Waldorf schools!! They’re really cool!! I went to a school called mariposa in Southern California and it really focused on creative learning.
Whenever I watch Flynn play and watch turtles with my son he says “hi flynny!” And today he said “I wish baby Flynn could come to our home to play” 😂 my son is about to turn four. He has loved to watch Flynn play during quarantine and loves trucks right along with him. So precious to have an internet friend 😭😭🥰🥰

My birth plan was “get baby out” and then telling them a drug and a procedure I didn’t want them using or doing. I’ve never heard a birth plan go as planned LOL
My plan was basically the same at Colleen's...no plan, which for me was perfect because I wasn't left feeling upset or that I failed somehow when my first ended up being an emergency c-section. He was born as he was meant to be, in the safest way possible for him...and me

That is a fantastic birth plan! I had 2 c sections and being well informed made the process so much better. I knew what I could ask for and how to ask the right questions. Most mom's want to avoid a C-section, but an emergency is unpredictable. Anybody could end with an emergency. It is going to help the stress of the situation if you are prepared for what is possible because we can't control most of birth.
I just wanted to say that you really inspire me! I find it so amazing how strong you have been and how well you are doing everything. I have watched you for so long and you’ve really helped me!
