Mythical Pokémon are a separate category from Legendary Pokémon, and aside from Koraidon and Miraidon, no Paradox Pokémon has been classified as a Legendary Pokémon, despite some of them being based on one.
At this point this feels just really absurd and almost unnecessary, but it is still really cool and I hope that Scizor is in the next mainline game so that you can continue the series

I did some testing regarding the Misty Mark: there's actually more possible locations to get the Misty Mark on Pokemon than those six! Basically, you need to be touching the invisible "out-of-bounds" wall above the cliffsides bordering Kitakami to trigger the fog rolling into view, and while that fog is rolling in, new spawns can have the Misty Mark. From what I understand, the original post about it described the method as entering a picnic to clear spawns, then climbing up a cliffside ASAP (a marked route was shown showing the fastest method of scaling the cliffside at each marked location) before anything could spawn, and triggering the fog so that the incoming spawns could potentially have the Misty Mark. That's what makes those six marked locations important. But now thanks to the Blueberry Academy DLC, we can also just fly with Koraidon/Miraidon! So if you fly high enough to despawn all the Pokemon on the ground, trigger the fog border, and slowly lower yourself to the ground, new Pokemon will spawn that will potentially have the Misty Mark! The Mark Charm also increases your odds of getting the Itemfinder, Partner and Gourmand Marks. The odds go from 1% to 3%, which means you'll still probably be doing laps around the olive court for hours. But it's something, I suppose.
I am looking forward to the Partner Marks potential. Ash’s Pikachu is a no-brainer. But maybe it could also work for other Mystery Gifts like championships.
Thanks to the higher odds shiny shinx outbreaks happening in Kitakami right now, I thought it would be the perfect time to finally get a misty mark shiny using the 'out of bounds' method. I did manage it first try by resetting the outbreaks until I got one right next to one of the easier get out of bounds cliffs. It's pretty nice to have a caught in s/v misty mark shiny in my collection. :3
I believe there is one pokemon that can be shiny with the Partner Ribbon. If you complete interactions with all special coaches, you unlock the ability to invite Cyrano, who will trade you a shiny Blitzle with the ribbon.
Yesterday was the last day of the Milcery outbreak event, and I managed to catch a shiny rare mark one! It's the first pokemon I've seen with a rare mark, and I don't have the mark charm. My husband said "it's time to take you to the casino" 😂

if you think about all the irl stuff you'll need and ingame things you need, completing a pokemon dlc pokedex is actually way more expensive than you might think
It is a bit of a shame the partner ribbon isn't an earnable ribbon, but at the same time it's something I hope becomes a staple if they continue to have pokemon you can receive that belong to other trainers. It's a neat bonus and cool detail that's a lot like N's pokemon in BW2. Hell if they ever remake BW2, N's pokemon would be great mons to give the partner ribbon to.

I have had Pokemon with the Mark moodle in the lock on not have a Mark, i think what happened is it was a weather Mark, but since no weather was happening it wasn't applied.
I remember during this fall semester I tried to get the jumbo and teensie mark challenge completed in Pokémon home. I checked every single Pokémon I had in Pokémon scarlet, no teensies, plenty of jumbos. I even transferred in an xxs and xxl galarian Slowpoke from the comm daycand the xxl one worked fine but the xxs was "a little smaller than average" and an xxs kantonian Slowbro i transferred was "a little larger than average" so i had to defeatedly use one of my dpp starters I sent to hisui then to brilliant diamond to get the teensie mark. The fact xxs Pokémon are so rare in general makes that venture so infuriating.

Petilil could be a fun ribbon pokemon even with just the switch games! You could do an Alpha Petilil or a marked one from SwSh/SV! Just make sure to get your Hisui Ribbon and Galar Champion/Tower Master Ribbon before you evolve into either Liligant
@SirToastyToes yeah that's just about my only option since I'm a bit of an OT snob. I haven't finished pla yet but I plan to try and get a shiny alpha petilil then transfer that to swsh for the galar champ and tower master ribbon and then evolve it into hisui lilligant and go from there. Even though it's far less impressive. It would still have: alpha mark, jumbo mark, galar champ, tower master, paldea champ, itemfinder, effort, hisui/photo, friendship, partner, gourmand and master ribbons

As of right now they have said that Pokémon home and Pokémon transporter will keep working for the time being, but not that they will work forever. So that is not the shutdown date but there will be a shutdown eventually
A gen 3 groudon needs the Earth Ribbon to be a ribbon master, if you ask around the ribbons discord they might be able to help you run it in an emulator and get the ribbon that way

From the looks of it these newer/Switch games are not emphasizing ribbons anymore like previous games. I think they're limiting game data space in lieu of graphics, animations, etc. Scarlet/Violet is a watered down version of a pokemon game its difficulty level is outrageously high. Even worst, it doesn't even have a battle tower. Boooh!
@@SirToastyToes True. It's because Gamefreak decided to change and be different and implemented those medals. What they did wrong was not put them on the pokemon = a failure. Of course there would be too many of them but that’s beside the point. Why do you think we got ribbons back afterwards? I think ribbons have gradually been decreased in lieu of “marks”. Now they (Gamefreak) have decided to make it much more limited they even made it extremely difficult. A 7 star tera raid for a Mightiest Mark? Outrageous! You really have to put in a lot of effort to earn them. Even more so, it sucks because you can’t get it bestowed onto your pkmn, only on the captured pkmn. Which really makes no sense. You or your pkmn did all the battling and Gamefreak decided we’re not going to award your pkmn instead we’ll give it to the victim pkmn you captured. It’s pathetic. In other words, your pkmn (the Predator) battled and killed the queen alien. Afterwards, the Predators arrive and instead of giving your pkmn the mark they went to the dead alien and put the mark on it instead. So since it’s bestowed on the alien queen your pkmn didn’t deserve that mark = gay. Gamefreak gets a thumbs down on that one.

Water trick: you don’t need to go to land to respawn, use the attack button instead (out of range of a target) and they will spawn on the raft again

i tried doing this challenge with emulators ( i took 6 months to finish it ), and i can say for sure:
This was Worth It, but my shiny weavile from colosseum ( who was a sneasel ) is trapped on the switch emulator ( and because of that i cant have the ribbon of playing ranked battles )
Homebrew 3DS could send them up to the switch home tracker and all 👀

Does picking stuff up while your Pokemon is under the effects of the Synchro Machine count towards the potential chance of obtaining the mark or not?

Did you mean 94 when you mentioned Toast's total ribbon count? That's how many I have on my shadow Scizor (including the teeny mark from before the patch).

Man I really wanna do something similar but all I ever own is the switch and the games on it. I want to do something similar for petilil, as hisui lilligant is one of my fav pokemon, but I'd need someone with oras usum and xy to help me
Petilil could be a fun ribbon pokemon even with just the switch games! You could do an Alpha Petilil or a marked one from SwSh/SV! Just make sure to get your Hisui Ribbon and Galar Champion/Tower Master Ribbon before you evolve into either Liligant
@SirToastyToes yeah that's just about my only option since I'm a bit of an OT snob. I haven't finished pla yet but I plan to try and get a shiny alpha petilil then transfer that to swsh for the galar champ and tower master ribbon and then evolve it into hisui lilligant and go from there. Even though it's far less impressive. It would still have: alpha mark, jumbo mark, galar champ, tower master, paldea champ, itemfinder, effort, hisui/photo, friendship, partner, gourmand and master ribbons
I'm thinking about making my own ribbon journey with my shiny huge Goldengo if it will be in future gens. Do you recommend this challange?

I used Scizor/Latios/Heatran but the Pokemon Ribbons discord has some better teams :)

How about hatching a largest or smallest egg?
Eggs can't have any of the wild marks, but have the normal 1/16,512 chances at each size mark (1/8,256 for either, unaffected by meal power)

Isn't the date for the end of Pokémon Bank April,2024? Cause I saw that on a TH-cam video and I've been so desperate to finish everything I had planned, ribbons for my competitive shinies, my hunt for Shiny Celebi etc and I really thought I wouldn't have enough time. So it's not April next year?
As of right now they have said that Pokémon home and Pokémon transporter will keep working for the time being, but not that they will work forever. So that is not the shutdown date but there will be a shutdown eventually

A gen 3 groudon needs the Earth Ribbon to be a ribbon master, if you ask around the ribbons discord they might be able to help you run it in an emulator and get the ribbon that way

Hadn’t realised there were any new ribbons other than the in game trade marks, sad I won’t be able to get any on my genesect (seriously, they put meloetta in but not the cool canon bug. What’s up with that?)
Maybe in gen X we’ll get more ribbons (hoping for a unova champ ribbon in the, inevitable Gen V remakes)
It is quite odd to me how they don’t have any Ribbon for beating the BB League Champion. Perhaps it’s because in universe it’s an unofficial league? I do wonder though did you still have Toast fight and defeat the BB League Champion too anyway? Because I would be interested to find out.

I think it's diamond dust, it's a unique weather they put on in snowy areas to celebrate certain days since gen 4

Yes, but the highest difficulty requires multiplayer, as far as I know no one has ever done it solo
@@SirToastyToes the patch that added the Indigo Disc apparently rebalanced the mini game, lowering the difficulty.
It might be theoretically possible to do solo now, but I've not checked myself

I sew them like Pokemon and Ultra Beasts, they're TECHNICALLY different but they're in the same place mechanically and are just different in name

From the looks of it these newer/Switch games are not emphasizing ribbons anymore like previous games. I think they're limiting game data space in lieu of graphics, animations, etc. Scarlet/Violet is a watered down version of a pokemon game its difficulty level is outrageously high. Even worst, it doesn't even have a battle tower. Boooh!
Every switch game except the unenterable let's go games has had at least one new ribbon which is more than Gen 5 ever gave us ;)
@@SirToastyToes True. It's because Gamefreak decided to change and be different and implemented those medals. What they did wrong was not put them on the pokemon = a failure. Of course there would be too many of them but that’s beside the point. Why do you think we got ribbons back afterwards? I think ribbons have gradually been decreased in lieu of “marks”. Now they (Gamefreak) have decided to make it much more limited they even made it extremely difficult. A 7 star tera raid for a Mightiest Mark? Outrageous! You really have to put in a lot of effort to earn them. Even more so, it sucks because you can’t get it bestowed onto your pkmn, only on the captured pkmn. Which really makes no sense. You or your pkmn did all the battling and Gamefreak decided we’re not going to award your pkmn instead we’ll give it to the victim pkmn you captured. It’s pathetic. In other words, your pkmn (the Predator) battled and killed the queen alien. Afterwards, the Predators arrive and instead of giving your pkmn the mark they went to the dead alien and put the mark on it instead. So since it’s bestowed on the alien queen your pkmn didn’t deserve that mark = gay. Gamefreak gets a thumbs down on that one.
