i am also. my first briggs meyer test revealed i is one. i found it odd that i never could talk in front of others. i prefer writing over talking. i must have wrote one heck of a story because my story was the one that became my high school salutatorian speech that i had to deliver with the help of a pair of english and literature high school teachers. on was Harold Robinson and he had the Chaucer duty to handle the literature side of the house with junior class english literature. and the class pun was that he was the husband of mrs robinson and he was married and he talked with the grace and charm of someone who talked chaucer in Elizabethan times ( queen elizabeth the first . and queen elizabeth the second gave up her life on earth to be reunited with her king of her heart prince philip and their spirits appeared as a double rainbow over buckingham palace. the brightest was the spirit of the queen and the slightly dimmer was that of her faithful partner the prince. together they form a beautiful couple. and their spirit reside somewhere over the rainbow in a judy garland song. and i know that i have to go to Chittenago new york for a wizard of oz festival on main street that has a yellow brick side walk in dedication to the layland frank baums senior wrote the wizard of oz in 1900 and junior did some work on the theatrical version in 1939 and helped direct the judy garland version of the movie classic. younger and much smarter one. heck he is the class of 1976 high school valedictorian. and at college he was awarded suma cum laude in engineering at uha (university of hartford) in 1980. i only got a cum laude in mathematics in 1978 and an mba in 1981. go uha sports with the hawks. my brother was blood type ab+ and i was ab- . and it was rumored that my negative vibrations from moriarty in kelly heroes would kill him if i donated my spare kidney genetically we would probably be a match same parents and two years apart in age. i would have took the gambel to donate a life giving kidney to my only brother. hell i would have done it in a heartbeat to see waterschoot woodworking started. edwin tried to start ed's home repair and woodworking while he was waiting on a kidney transplant due to heart medications that were not kidney friendly. and killed his kidneys.
our sister who is one year younger than me and she is one year older than my brother. in her way of thinking she is blood type and genetically compatible to our younger brother but was saving her spare kidney in case her daughter needed one. that is nice take care of the one you gave birth to. but now that my sister is 65 and possibly on medicare. she will not be covered by medicare to extract a kidney to donate it to her daughter who is half genetically related to her because her husband is the other half of the genes of mother daughter family genetics. so my ex sister you are a liar pants on fire. will a medicare provider no organ transplants after age 65 per current rules.
my brother edwin was on medicare disability and was 62 when he was granted a cadaver kidney ( an organ donated after a person is clinically dead).
i met a lady who had a kidney transplant years ago when her kidneys failed. she was ab+ and received a cadaver kidney. she found out that her kidney came from a gentleman who was killed in head on crash by a wrong way driver. fortunately the deceased had an organ donor card and was of similar age to the kidney recipient. she was given an 85% chance of a successful transplant. and it was. she had a bunch of years of life extension. my brother was only given a 15% chance of success. and i told him that i did not like to odds. i suggested that i gift him one of my kidneys. and he declined the offer and suggested that i donate one kidney as part of a kidney swap. i donate a live kidney to someone on a kidney transplant list. and the someone else donates a kidney for my brother. that did not happen because i had family diabetic issues and i was battling lyme disease.
another way to get a live kidney donation is to do what i call a begging campaign where you ask people to donate a live kidney directly to my brother or donate a kidney on behalf of my brother. it is to late for my brother. he got a cadaver donated kidney and the transplant looked good and was successful. after 2 weeks of success he was granted a weekend pass from the hospital back to his home/castle.
he was home in his elements. on monday he went back to the hospital and was readmitted because of complications. that was february 2021. his health went down hill. the kidney transplant unfortunately had issues and in aviation terms it was a crash and burn.
mr ed(win) you fought a valiant battle against terminal kidney failure and you could not cheat the end of the road ride to judgement day. the day between life on earth and eternal life after earth. you had one chance for a life extension called a successful kidney transplant. you tried the best you could but god had other plans. you only got a short extension on life. a very short extension. from the February hospital readmission it was a battle of three times a week dialysis for whatever life you could get or playing out your last hand of cards. you chose to end dialysis on a wednesday. you were transported to home for hospice care. mom's grand daughter and our niece and my god child took her nursing knowledge and gave you her nursing skills so you cold be in your waterschoot home/castle . you arrived home thursday afternoon may 19, 2021. chris the life partner of maria the nurse working on her advanced nursing degree cooked your last taste of grilled steak on earth from your barbeque on the stone work of you stone paver patio. out back. i do not know if you were able to supervise or if you were bedridden and hooked up to oxygen to deal with end of life breathing difficulties. on friday our youngest sister maryann came to visit and she snapped the last picture of you and her. you already had an oxygen tube in your nostrils and you and her smiled similar to your smile with kathy g on better days at maryann's house on woodland street. kathy g left a nice remembrance of better days of eds home repair and woodworking. we were going to carry on dads dream of waterschoot woodworking and i would handle east of the (henry) hudson river in connecticut and vermont. in 1999 you were goose (anthony ed-ward) the rio for maverick (tom cruise a 5 foot 7 person you and i tower over him at 6ft something.
more after an afternoon piss stop and break.

@@DBowie70 just remember it takes two to tangle or was it tango. i believe like a lot of folks that life is a dance. my first dance that i can remember was in the 6th grade class of mr frank borchetta at the john conley type old school the north street public elementary school. because i was a tall shy goober i was matched with a miss kathleen hughes. she was a tall outgoing gooberess. we learned various dance. i think square dance. i don't remember if there was line dancing. but that might be symptom of spending so much time at the old folks home. it matters not. rumors are the she grew up to be lawyer. she was a classmate with a touch of class. but was she an ex girl friend. since she was a girl and she was sweet to meet. i will call her a girl friend. but to cross and x her out. i chose not and just leave it a a girl friend who got away.
you might have have heard a meaning for expert - it is an old water drip or spert of water.
but is it a waterschoot saying. i doubt it so you decide.

One thing about being an INFJ, you always know where you stand with others, reading people is easy. If your genuine or fake, I will figure it out real quick with little effort. I am a loner who prefers to minimize relationships. I just don’t like drama or catering to others who at some point will want more than I want to give. I guess I’m selfish to some degree with my time and prefer my space, but I do like people in measured doses.

As someone who's always felt a bit out of place, finding out about the INFJ personality type was like reading a manual that explained so many of my quirks and traits. It's fascinating to see how these 15 signs align with my experiences, especially the deep empathy towards others and the constant search for meaning in everything around me. It's comforting to know there's a whole community out there who shares these characteristics. This discovery not only helps in self-understanding but also in realizing how we, as INFJs, can use our unique qualities to make a positive impact. Would love to hear how other INFJs are navigating their journey and using their rare traits in their daily lives!

These are my experiences having INFJ:
    - When I didn't reach my standards I overthink.
    - When I failed a test, lost in a competition, messed up, I always think that people is judging me.
    - When people is giving me compliments I often question myself if I'm really what they say I am.
    - It gets really hard to open up to other people about my problems and I always find myself pouring my emotions through writing.
    - Nobody can easily understand me.
    - When walking around the streets I always close my eyes when I see homeless people because I want to help them but I know I can't do anything.
    - I oftenly get judged because I easily open up myself to people I just met.
    - I always want things to be perfect and gets annoyed when I'm not satisfied of my work.
It's not easy to have the INFJ Personality.

It really is not Easy, I’m actually a INTJ which is very similar to INFJ with a few exceptions, but I went through depression because I always felt as if others were judging me and while I did have friends it was as if they never understood me, I was being hard on myself for every little thing to the point that I would isolate myself from everyone, I always wanted to speak what was on my mind but couldn’t due to fear of being judged. It wasn’t until I realised that these negative thoughts and feelings are what making me depressed and when I took Psychology during school I took a test and it revealed that I am INTJ after I did some research and spoke to my Psychology teacher I learned that a lot of INTJ have this similar problem, but I’m getting better now and trying to stay positive and not over think things.

My career counselor in college had me take the official Myers Briggs test. INFJ was pretty clear and it helped me figure out how to navigate through life a little better and focus on specific careers/jobs/business ideas best suited for me. It also gave me some peace from understanding why I did certain things or reacted in certain ways in my past. I’ve had several of those “aha!” moments as I’ve reflected. I have since taken three other shorter versions of the test online over the years and each time, INFJ. This video touched on almost every aspect of my personality, perfectly. Pretty neat. Thank you for sharing.

You just don't know the rare pain of being misunderstood by everyone and being treated less than a normal human being just coz you're so different, being overwhelmed with so many emotions all at the same time ( my head literally hurts as a result) you just don't know what is it you're feeling... Ending up lonely with no love life like normal people or trouble loving, honestly I understand people around me every well that I can feel their pain and so I feel so motivated to help them by being nice. But then again the nicest people are often the loneliest... You feel like you have no one else but yourself it's so emotionally exhausting!

I wish I wasn't an INFJ. Only other INFJs would understand. I just want to be more carefree and stop overthinking. The level of sensitivity can sometimes be over the top. I've lived most of my life helping others, which is a good thing, but just realized the one I haven't helped all these years was myself. Now at 40 am dealing with all these overdue internal problems I've been suppressing/covering.
Additional- a lot of people in the comments section, probably extroverts, think that INFJs are actually proud of being an INFJ. So they think we want to be 'special'. Only INFJs know that we really don't want to be INFJs at least l don't. And I actually actively try not to be by being more outgoing but you can't fake your own nature. I can't pretend that I'm actually interested in your small talk about restaurants or Netflix shows. You want to be part of that 2% population? You can have mine! Give me your carefree, no internalizing no constant self-reflecting self so I can have some peace of mind already. Go ahead please take it.

I've always said to my friends "I'm not from this planet." it doesn't take anyone very long hanging out with me to always say back to me "I know you're not." I really do feel I'm not from this planet, and that perhaps one day, my people will come here to take me back to my home planet, wherever that might be. I am thoroughly convinced that I am unable to contract any human dis-eases, and I'm therefore immune. I'm a legit INFJ, I've taken many Briggs Meyer tests all confirmconfirming this fact. Growing up with this personality type confuses adults, it even confused me lol. BTW one thing I'd like to add is that we don't have many people we truly call friends as our trust isn't easy to earn and true connections are difficult.

@phil & @andrea, I know the feeling about having a hard time trusting others. The thing I find difficult as an ENFP is that we have a harder time letting people go if that trust feels breached, or at least that's my experience. I feel a bit envious toward types that are able to let go of toxic people so easily, and it's a strength I have spent years building, which is hard, but possible.

Because in this world of billions of people, it feels harder to find yourself. You can get so easily abd heavily influenced by others. You feel that emotional strain to be a part of society. To be like everyone else. And once in awhile, you just want to be you. To be noticed and feel special. If you're unique, you feel less of part of this huge mass of population and more of yourself. Not to say that people don't want to be part of the population, but you don't just feel like another fish in a school of fish. Everyone wants to be special in some way, even in the most menial ways.

I took the MBTI personality test 3 times. When I was 12 in middle school, 14 for an assignment in high school, and then again, a few months ago at 29. Every time it came back as being an INFJ-A (assertive). So, this video kind of hit the bullseye when watching it. Completely misunderstood I am but at the same time helping others is enjoyable but I get taken advantage of for my kindness, caring and helpful nature. What's worse is having to force myself to act like an extrovert just to have a job when I don't want to and it's so physically, emotionally, and mentally draining that I either sleep for hours on end or get horrible episodes of insomnia because I am too stressed from work.

I've taken this test about three time and it always came out as an INJF. Honestly I never felt special or "rare". I had a pretty difficult time in school. It was difficult to connect with people own age. I felt like an old soul, and I was very often misunderstood. I went to a very well-rated school and I was surrounded by students who took multiple AP courses. It lead to me becoming a perfectionist, i would procraste so much and then give myself anxiety for not being able to make deadlines. Honestly for the longest time I thought I had learning disability.
This personality type has a lot of trouble dealing with anxiety. I have had depression episodes multiple times in my life. It's pretty lonely being "rare" because No one understands you.

As an ENFP, I relate to this a lot. I think this is an experience that a lot of NF people have in common. And you may very well have an undiagnosed learning disability, which I know personally makes am already difficult personality/thinking style even harder.
And what I've found, is that striving for perfection in your younger years makes you appreciate patience and taking your time so much more now that you're older. Your thoughts and struggles are valid, and are so important for helping you grow into the person you want to be. Good luck with your emotional growth and recovery, this is something I still fight with daily, but each victory big and small is so worth it!

I'm an INFJ and I have all these traits. I like to watch this video from time to time when I feel overwhelmed. I find it difficult to express my feelings because most of the time, people aren't interested and are more interested in talking about themselves or other people. Sometimes when I do open up, people have used it against me to try to manipulate me or my reputation. They will gaslight me, put words in my mouth or gossip about me. Sometimes the ones who need help are toxic people. Over time I learned that I can only be a listening ear. Most people don’t really want advice or even encouragement, they just want to vent. People don’t change unless they truly want to and most people are inherently selfish. It’s rare to find someone who’s an empathetic enough to exchange experiences without making it one sided or into some strange competition. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more selective with who I interact with. Listening to other people’s problems when they won’t do the same for you gets so exhausting it’s better to be alone with whatever hobby. I think we enjoy hobbies because it gives us a space to process the emotions we absorb.

I took the test for the first time when I was 11 and got INFP, took it again throughout high school and stayed an INFP but after being in therapy I got INFJ. It all makes sense now. The hardest part about this personality type is that self conscious people with this type often feel like they have to mask them selves and shape shift to please others. After looking a lot more into INFJ I'm realizing I went my entire life masking myself as an INFP because that's what was rewarded by society, but now I'm really just trying to learn what's healthy for me, what works for me, even if it doesn't ring true to society's standards. It's exhausting and terribly lonely and I'm incredibly prone to depression but I'm thankful that there's proof out there that I'm not absolutely crazy.

A lot of the times I wish I wasn't an INFJ. People think it's 'cool' being the rarest. But unless you are an healthy INFJ, with clear focusses, goals, AND means to get them... an INFJ can be a torturous existence :/
Constant contradictions, super intensity that people continually balk at, ability to predict 99% of the time what will happen with people in just a blink of an eye, rarely bonding with people, generally always alone, never fit in and always feeling like an alien.... see things so clearly when others struggle to understand the basic nuances.. not being able to do the small talk, unable to overcome the petty and irrelevant things in life, having a strong sense of justice in an unjust world - and being able to do next to nothing about it... highly intellectual with intricate philosophical depths to us, but we rarely find people to connect with... love people, don't want to be around them... want the acknowledgement of our deeds, but don't want it to be said publically….
All manageable for a healthy INFJ... but when unhealthy - everything intensifies, depression - real clinical depression is debilitating, you can't strive for goals, you can't achieve your potential, the slightest normal altruistic action leaves you drained for days..... and its all done alone. Whilst the charm, empathy, intuitive strengths, creativity and the ability to be the problem solver and glide back into the shadows remains and all intensity is magnified... so to does the deep pits of depression, losing yourself in your mind, overthinking the negativity - helplessness and hopelessness, the hypersensitivity to criticism and prepared to snap unfortunately intensifies as well... problem is we INFJ's have a miniscule circle we confide in - if any at all, so we are constantly in a battle within our mind - unable to escape.... but our mind is also a wondrous mansion - so we are never truly alone.
Just the joys of the rarest personality type... sometimes I wish I was a gormless extrovert with not a care in the world :P

L00n4t1c that’s probably due in part to the introvert part of their personality. Also a true INFJ wouldn’t brag about being one since they would think that it’s not really that cool and wish they could be like everyone else and fit in, since it can be kinda hard to fit in with that personality (like the guy in the video said, they will talk to others but they feel like they are never understood) but with that being said I feel like there are comments that aren’t actually true INFJ but more just going through a phase in life, or similar to INFJ so they claim they are. That’s why people should just take the test instead of watching TH-cam videos.

I can see from all your analysis that I am an INFJ. At times I used to get amazed about my personality, often wondering whether people get to discover the mysteries that surrounds me, my true colours in terms of intuition, creativity, judgements, and relationships.

@@hearmenow909 well I don’t know if they are lying or not but one can assume that if this is the rarest personality type in the world or at least one of the rarest the fact that it’s rare is going to make people want to say there have it because in there mind it makes the seem special and unless most of the people who have it watched this video there seems to be a unusually large amount of people who have it and with that being said it was mentioned in the video that other personality types can seem very simple to this which also creates confusion so I guess if you don’t want me to say there lying ( which some probably are ) one could say there confused.

A spiritual reader told me this: I have The Light - and people are drawn to that light. However- all people are drawn to The Light - and some want only to drain the light, while others feed the light. I was told this in my 30’s, and now at 66, understand this perfectly.

Spiritual readers are deceived all the time....and they always tell everyone they're psychic too. Sadly they're in darkness as what they're doing isn't of God... people are attracted to the light but sadly the majority are of the world and choose the dark .....those who are of God have the light in them and you can see it 🙏🤍🕊️😇

2% is still a lot of people. What does it even matter that you can box yourself into a rare personality? There are other % of people who went some extra unnecessary steps and like to not be characterized as any group, thinking up new pronouns as they go. Would there rare seekers want that instead?
