A friend had a great orange cat when he was in middle school and found out that his parents would let his cat out during his school day and that a family couple of houses away down his street had adopted him too because the cat would spend large amount of time with them too

BTW those other 4 Felines..you may ask..?.. 1 chose our home, 1 our son, 1 chose our daughter & the last... Now 18 yrs, Chose our Son! Though, once home.. chose MY Hubby ToO! A Man's Cat for Sure, that feline, Our CHOSUN!
it's not always like that. I took my cat from the shelter, there were lots of other and my cat didn't show any interest in me, but I knew I had to take her which I did. Me and my cat are together for 6 years already and we're pretty much happy 😊
I need the CDS (Cat Distribution System) to take me off the list for a bit. All the cats (9) currently living here came through the CDS. Update: The CDS has struck again. A feral mama cat decided that the engine compartment of my car would make a nice home. Thankfully, I noticed before starting the engine. Took a little work on my part to get the kittens out. I put them in a box for mama to find and move somewhere else. She chose my backyard. Now have 5 more in the colony. 🤦🏻♂️
I have a kitten right now that passed out right behind my car’s tire. I had to move him and once I picked him up he was mine! He had a respiratory infection, anemia from fleas that was killing him, and tapeworms. Our vet and I decided to take the risk and give him flea meds (half dose) and now he’s a healthy two month old tornado of energy! I call him Pico de Gato!!!
That’s how we got ours, a few weeks ago. Never saw him before. But, there he was. He just came through the house, into our bedroom, and flopped down on his back onto the floor. My husband then said, “So. This is how you get a cat.”
Lol, the cat distribution system *tried* to give me another cat (well, a neighbor's cat most likely) that way many years ago, but the cat I already had was a very territorial female with no intentions of sharing with anyone. I had to hold my very angry lady back so that the other cat could run back out the way she came. Still a little baffling that the other cat had the audacity to walk into a house that already had a cat occupant.
The CDS has been having some major issues here lately: with horrible, ghastly weather, I have been trying to attract and rescue a stray for a couple of weeks now, without success. 😭 Worse, last night, I managed to call out in the dark and saw 2(!) pairs of eyes staring back - which, while hard to say for sure in the darkness, could have been one larger/higher, the other smaller/lower! A mum and her kitten? 😱 If I could at least get them into the barn to be out of this miserable winter weather, but I've not been able to get closer than 30-40m.
My mom used to attract all cats that she met,..I used to make fun ok her by telling her that it was because she must smeld like fish....Now THEY follow me around...it is called KARMA..I miss you mom
Ever since I took in my first cat when she was only 5 weeks old, the Cat Distribution System has kept me busy in it's own unique way. For some reason every couple of years people ask if I will take in an unwanted cat, I've had everything from very aggressive to brain damaged. Loved them all, even the one that destroyed my hall carpet!
We had a cat that hung around the hospital where I work for over a week a few winters ago, I bent down to pet it when out for a walk to get lunch and one of my colleagues is like "Is that your cat?" Sadly I haven't seen it for years, so hopefully it found a loving home.
Considering how far cats can walk if they're allowed out, it is entirely possible that the cat already had a home but was opportunistic enough to ask strangers for affection. "True" strays are usually much too shy to partake in the cat distribution system seen in this video, I'm fairly sure many of them are just playing the field to see if they can find even better owners. That's what my grandparents' cat did. He originally belonged to the neighbor, but decided that his owner (who had a full time job and a commute) wasn't home often enough, so he moved in with my retired grandparents instead for true 24/7 service.
Worked perfectly for me! My cat was surrendered and depressed, very skinny, had to be fed via IV. When I met her she immediately ate out of my hand. Now we are inseparable.
I have four cats one was given to me one was supposed to be my daughter’s but he chose me the other two just showed up at my house and I took them in too. Then on top of that my aunt gave me a chihuahua and my uncle gave my daughter a dachshund and she chose me so my daughter got a retriever mix and I’m watching her until my daughter and son in law gets their house situated. I love my animals.

The cat distribution system must be broken cause I have a cousin who runs a tigger sanctuary and this one female has chosen me as hers. I’m not a cat person. I’m a dog/wolf person. Yet this hunk of fur gruffs and nuzzles me and keeps all the others at a safe distance when she wants alone time with me. She even tries to be a lap cat…this tiger!!! My cousin is still puzzled as the tiger knows who feeds and shelters her (it’s not me) yet gives me the undeniable affection of what a pet shows an owner. My cousin has even made a bet I could put my arm down her throat and the tiger would choose to gag than bite me, that’s how much she loves me. This has not been tested for obvious reasons
Trust, I know It's real. There was a cat on my street who was abandoned and had a very hard life. I went to him one time to feed him and give him water to help him out. From that day on he started coming to my porch waiting at the door and for a very long time I fed him, gave him water, took care of him every day, gave him lots of love and attention, even so far as to get him a bed. My mom said that I would never be allowed to actually keep him because he was too wild until one day last month. Some people snuck on our porch trying to steal the cat to take him to a kill animal shelter. My mom got them off and I protected the cat from being taken. He lives in the house now, and his name is Reese.

3:27 That is not true. That is literally not true at all. The first thing you should try to find out is if the cat needs help or even wants it. You aren't "meant to be" simply because you find a stray cat.

I think with these cats living with humans for so many centuries, if not thousands of years, some of them might even have developed a type of instinct that views some humans in a positive light or something 🤔

I'm very disappointed with the cat distribution system. I found a momma and her 6 kittens in my garden shed, I fed them and tried to capture them in a live trap, but I saw momma move her kittens elsewhere, then she came back, stared at me until I fed her one more time, and then she was gone. Didn't leave me any kittens. :-(
I own three cats, but I stop by a feral cat colony that has a particularly friendly feral, and a kitten. The distribution system is trying to get me to five.
Remember, make sure someone doesn't already own or claimed the cat. We have 2 claimed cats (they choose us first! We just need a house that allows us to bring them inside. We give them medicine every once in a while for worms, give them food and water, scare off other cats who try to steal or fight.. scare off racoons.
When my pet Chihuahua died, due to a heart defect, she put in a call to the cat distribution system. I received an abandoned kitten in my garage a few weeks later. My little fluffy bundle of joy ❤
Fun fact, sometimes, a bug in the system will send the same cat to 2 or more families.

the CDS has gifted you 1 (or more!) cats. please do not resist lol.
I'm still waiting for the CDS to choose me, hopefully it will happen soon
How do I sign up? Or sign up my family members? 😅
Our pets make us live longer ❤
I own three cats, but I stop by a feral cat colony that has a particularly friendly feral, and a kitten. The distribution system is trying to get me to five.
Remember, make sure someone doesn't already own or claimed the cat.
We have 2 claimed cats (they choose us first! We just need a house that allows us to bring them inside. We give them medicine every once in a while for worms, give them food and water, scare off other cats who try to steal or fight.. scare off racoons.
5:02-5:04 Luffy and Beige Cappone XD
I was chosen when my best friend died. The system is real.
When my pet Chihuahua died, due to a heart defect, she put in a call to the cat distribution system.
I received an abandoned kitten in my garage a few weeks later.
My little fluffy bundle of joy ❤
Hooman, you have been chosen😁😁
Me and my family have been chosen by 5 cats in total (strays)
