My brother-in-law's dad feeds raccoons. One of the older raccoons (who is nearly blind) always arrives with an escort of two cats who guide him to the house. They make sure that he gets to the food because they know that they ALSO get to eat for protecting him. They are protecting their senior meal ticket. 😂
Wow! We have 4 raccoons that hang around here, come out at night (we have cameras). One morning my husband found a stray cat just ripped limb to limb on the front lawn…I did look it up and raccoons will kill cats. And those things are BIG!
@@jak7312 We had a kitten who we would try to keep inside at night. Little booger didn't understand WHY though, so she kept trying to escape. She was a regular little Houdini too.

I'm so glad that my 4 are super quiet. They don't wake me up in the morning for food. they just wait for me to check their bowls when im ready. They're also sleeping real early in the mornings, not doing zoomies at all
Indeed they do! When bunnies punctuate a "zoom" with a jump-n-twist move, it's called a "binky". When rats or guinea pigs do it, it's called "popcorning". Critters do this for a whole host of reasons...the longer you're with your critter, the better you'll be able to interpret just why they're "binkying" or "popcorning". Enjoy your bunny! 🙂
On the road I was brought up on there was an elderly man with a very hunched gait, almost doubled over. He'd very very slowly go for a walk up the road, and when he passed one particular house there'd be a black cat sitting on the front wall waiting for him at just the right height. Without the man stopping the cat would step on to his back and sit there , thus getting a free ride all the way to the end of the road.

That’s why we keep our baby inside at night. She’s fine with it, feels secure. I know she’s seen them. They’re a formidable adversary.
