Yes, I'm a dog person, but I love all animals and wouldn't harm any, I saw a doe once while deer hunting and didn't think about shooting it I was later told because of my age, around 8 I think, I neither considered it or would have done it but I never went deer hunting again, and after the next time I went hunting rabbit and/or squirrel was my last time going hunting period.

Did you know that CATS are actually playing for whenever they jump on you what happened to me and I had a boy cat he's so cute my brother killed a rabbit I was sad 😭💔 I would never ever kill an animal❤
People that say cat's are cold and emotionless just never got chosen by a cat.
Just close minded people

I just got chosen by a stray today! 🥹 and I heard the purring and kneading for the first time ever!
I so much agree with you, thanks for the honest cat post. Cats are underestimated love my cats❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Cats are a huge lesson in consent. Cats absolutely will love being pet… as long as you respect their boundaries.
Mine loved to be petted any time, any day. Could be non-stop I guess (if you have had time).
@@An_Gold by anyone? A stranger could walk up and pet your cat endlessly?
@@drummergurl99Of course not. Only me. Strangers - no, only to some of my friends (not every, the cats are selective).
In my experience the people who talk the most about respecting consent respect it the least themselves. You don't have to make everything about your weird sxxual proclivities, this is a cat video.
People who say cats aren’t affectionate are such red flags, like okay thanks for telling me that you just can’t respect boundaries.
1. Purring

You can add "following"🐈⬛ to the list...My daughter's cat follows me to the store. He generally ignores me & stays indoors but when I go to the store he seems to know. He'll follow me out the door and walk up to the corner, darting behind trees. When I come back, he'll be hiding behind a bush or something. He'll spring out and he tries to surprise me. 😲 🐈⬛

I live in a 3 story apartment. All of my neighbours except me own a cat. On every floor a cat is there waiting for me to pet them. When I first moved here they used to run away from me. Now all of them basically trip me over unless I pet them. "You shall not pass unless you pet me human"🐈

I spent three years making friends with a feral Tom. I didn't even see him the first year, but someone was leaving paw prints and food was disappearing. The second year, I would see him, but he did not want to be touched. He didn't know WHY I would want to touch him. But we had a feeding schedule and he would rarely miss it, and after he ate, he started hanging out near me. He had his own Spot, where he would eat and that Spot grew closer and closer to me. By the third year, he would come when I called him, was starting to tolerate being touched, and oh boy, did he love beef baby food. He would frown at me if I took a liberty and touch him, although when his ears infected from a fight and abscesses, he let me squeeze the pus out and that had to be painful. This was a cat who had never felt the touch of a human hand before and the first time I touched him, he trembled in fear, but months later, he came to me to doctor his ears for him.
He had a front paw that had an injury at one point and one toe was slightly twisted and that claw couldn't retract completely. He would slap me with that paw if I took too much of a liberty, his Paw of Nope, and in day, his claw caught and fish hooked in my hand. I yelled, and showed him my bleeding hand. He raised his head to look into my eyes, something he did rarely, then sniffed my hand... And then he patted my hand with his paw, very gently.
This cat, who had never been touched by anyone by me, who had been terrified by humans, who didn't really liked being touched, who didn't even seem to understand about touching, touched me and patted me when he saw that I was hurt.
He is now an inside cat, who loves to be petted and brushed. His sons live indoors as well, and they are all neutered. He has soft beds to lay on and he follows me from room to room during the day. His name is Tabs and he has found not only his voice but also his purr.
Tabs' journey from a wary outdoor cat to a loving indoor companion is truly heartwarming! Your patience and compassion have transformed his life, and it's beautiful to see the bond that has developed between you. He's lucky to have found a caring friend like you! 💜
All these years & you didn’t adopt him already 💀

Dogs teach responsibility, cats teach consent.

Agree but important to note dogs deserve consent too. You can absolutely do a consent test with a dog or cat.
i say both teach both. dogs definitely have boundaries too and cats definitely teach responsibility.
@@CjBeeb
I’d say boundaries are much more important when it comes to dogs. Because if you invade their personal space or do something they dislike they can seriously do some damage to you by biting. It’s much easier to get hold of a cat since their bodies go limp if you hold them by the back of their necks. But dogs? Once they attack there’s really no way to peacefully resolve the situation without someone getting hurt.
@@sss-md3hd actually only kittens go limp when you touch the back of the neck, plus both deserve boundaries
"Brought this for you, we're OK".
"No, it was not a question."
Lol yes! 😂
Some people are like this as well.
lmao they are demanding, not asking.
Cats love their people like nobody’s business. And the more feral they were, even the deeper the bond. That has been my experience.
I definitely can attest to that. Our Tortie girl was 7 months old when we adopted her, probably spent 10 to 12 weeks in shelter (2 shelters to be precise, the second taking on the overflow of cats), but before then she was on the streets. She's been here for just over 5 years, and if it weren't for the automatic feeder dropping supper, she'd probably still be under my top blanket, still napping with me.
😅😅
So true
Battle buddies are very close. I see my feral cat's relationship with me. Someone looking after him, and he does the same for me.
They show soo much greatfulness to the person who socialized them. Unfixed males can become very very devoted. I think they know you saved them from the horrible life they have been living.

They say dogs are our protectors in the physical world and cats are our protectors in the spiritual world. I believe this, as I had a rather chilling experience with my cat a few years back. I was in a house I never felt settled in, I never felt like I was truly alone there and felt watched a lot. These feelings came to a head when I was in my bedroom one night with my cat, and I went to leave the room and my cat rushed in front of me and desperately meowed and even pushed me back. I could feel from the bottom of the door that outside my room was fearfully, unnaturally cold, and sensed something seemed very off. I walked back to my bed and my cat came and didn’t leave my side the rest of the night, even though he always usually comes and goes as he pleases. I fully believe he was trying to protect me from…something.
Another experience with my cat was when my rabbit died. In life, my rabbit actually bullied and harassed my cat sometimes, although they did have peaceful grooming sessions side by side. But as my rabbit was dying, my cat came to lay next to him and put his paw on him and never left his side until his last breath.
Animals are a lot more perceptive than us most of the time, and these kinds of experiences really prove this. I don’t know what I would do without my pets, they are truly everything to me. 🩵
There is an apartment above mine. A lady was living there that suffered from anorexia. One day my cat Peggy wouldn't get off of my lap. No matter what I did, she kept jumping up and she wasn't a lap cat. She even followed me down into the basement (never does). I found out that the lady upstairs had passed away unfortunately. I felt like my cat was trying to tell me in the only way she could.
I had a cat I knew till the end of its life. She knew her name when I called it and the way I knew she loved me was at the end of her life I told her before I left to go back to my dads house to wait in the garage so I could see her one last time and I petted her softly. The next week later I got a call saying she died in the exact spot I told her to wait in. That was her final loving goodbye. I believe that my connection to cats will always live.

My cat supports me when I don’t feel well, he sits on my legs when I’m starting to have a seizure and he came to sit on my hip when I had a surgery in that area and the doctors had recommended I apply pressure to it when I got home. He sat there for hours and kept coming back to sit on it after his meals and stuff until I was better. He’s not a trained service animal, he’s just very caring and in tune with me 🥹 I don’t yell at him but the one time he was really misbehaving and being aggressive to another cat I covered him with a towel and called him a bad boy and he stayed there for 20 minutes 😢 I removed the towel and we hugged as I soothingly told him how much I love him that’s the one time I felt that he felt sad and sorry and I never did it again. I believe animals have rich deep feelings and memories and we don’t understand their emotional lives and shouldn’t disregard them

He just checks if you're dead so he can eat your face.
@@Duke49thnot true
@@dracul6259 true. they do that.
@@DaveyOH-ig6xv It’s sensationalism. A cat is not going to immediately eat their deceased owner’s face. Most pets who were in that situation had severe trauma from the ordeal and didn’t consume their owner’s flesh until they really had no choice.
I think one of the cutest examples is when someone got mad at their young cat for chewing their headphone cords. Cat clearly had no jdea why their human was mad at it for killing the "snake". So cat went out and hunted a new snake to give to their human.
What a good kitty! 😅😅😅😅😅😅
There’s just something about a happy cat.
It’s so genuine.
One of the cutest moments of owning my beloved kitty came a few weeks ago. I had just gotten an email I had gotten into a highly competitive graduate school, and I immediately burst into tears. As I started to call friends and family to let them know the good news, my cat came RUNNING in from the other side of the house. He then proceeded to purr, bunt, meow, and rub himself all over me. I believe he could hear I was sobbing and thought I must have been really upset!! I think my kitty was trying his best to comfort me, even though they were happy tears. 🥰🥰 I love my baby boy so much!
My cat is unapologetic, yet very affectionate and gives me belly all of the time. He purrs every time I touch him, and jumps on me and drapes himself across me, and wilts in reckless abandon. I feel like our trust is pretty solid. His name is Zeus and he's five months old. I found him under my shed when he was about one month old, and he's owned a piece of my heart since. Okay, all of the pieces...
Aww
what i realy don't understand is people hating cats
I’ve learned it’s usually because they’ve never had one. I know a couple people that didn’t like cats and then completely changed after getting one or having a cat show them affection. Some people just haven’t experienced that so they don’t understand; dogs are more emotionally needy so a lot more often they show affection and are friendly to strangers.

😹
I had a marbled tabby who trilled. I couldn't decide on a name for him, but in the end I named him Trilby. (Turned out it was a girl's name and a kind of hat!) He also could growl like a dog. I've had several cats but none who made these sounds.
They ARE telling you all about it! And also..."Where the heck have you been?"...the dog slobbered on your slippers, we got a delivery but I hid cause I was scared, oh and could you please feed me soon, cause I played hard today and I'm really hungry! But Welcome Home! I REALLY Missed You!
I had a girl that lived to be 15 and up until her very last day she was "Mrrrrrreow!? Brrrrrt?" and would keep on talking for an hour if you responded. She was such a sweet girl. I miss you Bella ♥ Thanks for keeping me here in rough times.
When my mainecoons trill it’s my favorite sound, even more than the purr. I think because, like you said, I feel like they’re talking. My deaf cat even trills 🤣
One of my cats panicked while in my arms and scratched the crap out of my face! We both just looked at each other stunned. I feel the same, I’m always wandering if they are happy and if I give them enough attention, but like you the fact they stay with us in our home, run to greet us and sit next to us and are happy shows that they do get enough attention from us 👍😊
If Cats can feel jealous they can apologize. They have incredible senses and they know when they do wrong. I watch cats day in and day out and I have learned their behaviors.

@@maryj7950 it truly has been one of the most amazing things in my life. I always wanted a dog and maybe one day I will get there.lol Cats came into my life unexpectedly and have become my little world. They say dogs look at their owners as the king and queen of their world and cats are the king and queens in their world. lol I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Sure can. They don't have English words running through their heads, but they definitely have emotions. Guilt, the desire to apologize and fix things - those are emotions. In humans the emotions drive us to find words and expressions to make things right. Cats only have the expressions, at least until we figure out universal translators.
I guess I disagree with the video. I think they're wired like us (part of why we get along so well), but have no way to interact verbally on the same level.
It depends on the cat.
I had a particularly smart Blackie.
I had a window full of plants he knew I didn't want him in.i never punished or chastised him for being in it but when he would dump one over I would grumble while cleaning up the mess and fussing over the plant.he would try to engage with me buy I would give him sparse attention while cleaning up.
One day I came home and several plants were dumped over and he was no where to be found.so I just start cleaning up.took over an hour and he did not show and I was not grumbling because I did not know where he was.
I sit with a cup of coffee and out of the corner of my eye see him in a dark corner hiding but looking at me with one eye.
I slow blinked to hime and he slow blinked back and slunk out of hiding and climbs into my lap and puzzles and purrs.
I think he knew I was unhappy but I had never raised a hand or voice to him.he was the smartest cat I've ever had.

My cat sprints to me for protection when my daughter tells her off.
I absolutely love this video! My cat is truly one of a kind. At the age of 8, her journey has been quite unique. She spent some time in a foster home before I welcomed her into my life, and it appeared she was accustomed to living indoors. However, at some point, she found herself surviving in the wilds of Staten Island for several years. She was rescued after losing an eye, likely from an altercation with another animal. Remarkably, she retained her knowledge of using a litter box, a skill uncommon in feral cats.
What's more intriguing is her preference for affection over food. She particularly enjoys damping my hands, even leading them to water herself. She adores belly rubs during playtime despite her overgrown claws. After a couple of gentle reprimands using my index finger, she understood not to use her claws on me anymore. It's been just five weeks, but my love for her deepens by the day. I'm optimistic that our connection will grow even stronger as time goes by. I'm considering taking her for a claw trim at a grooming salon, but I'm holding off now. I want to ensure she fully trusts me first. I'd be very grateful if anyone has advice or resources about transitioning feral cats to indoor life or knows any helpful videos.
Cats are definitely able to apologize in their own way and are able to think things through before making a decision. They know when they are being bad but often times they don't care. My girl Sam would definitely feel remorse if she did something wrong because she would always come back and try to make it right. My boy Toby does too. People simply don't give animals enough credit because they don't speak words like us
True. They don't apologize every time but they are definitely capable of knowing they did something that upsets us and showing they're sorry
People try to define cats as if they all fit in the same category but they don’t, each are individual and habe their own personalities. They all also talk different but yeah like most people are same and then some are unique, cats and other animals i believe are same.
I have a cat named Sam, too! He's the old man of all of our cats, and he's the most loving, too.
Cats don't have the ability to think before acting. They are missing the frontal lobe that controls thinking and reasoning. They think with the back of the brain, which controls anger and aggression. Cats are apex predators they sneak up and attack their prey.
🎉@@tonibryant6696
I 100% disagree with this claim. My cat, Sammy has bitten and scratched me many times, sometimes out of anger/frustration, sometimes accidentally. On many occasions, he will come up to me afterwards, and lower his head and sit there waiting for me to acknowledge him. Then he will ‘kiss’ my hand in apology.
Yes, the can absoultely feel guilt and remorse, and even make apology.
How sweet, and very loving ❤️
Yes I experienced same with my cat, her name is Samantha (Sammy) she once ran down the stairways and got very anxious (she doesn't like to be outside) so she started to cry and I took her in my arms and she scratched me everywhere while I was holding her. I didn't let her go, because I knew she just wanted to be save in our apartment again, but she lost her way and was confused and scared. Once we got in, she calmed down pretty fast and then she came to me and started to lick my hands where she scratched me. She knew she hurt me, but since I suffer from anxiety it was absolutely fine with me, because I totally understand her behaviour.
in those cases, did you respond saying OUCH or seem sad or withdrawn afterwards? Because if yes, the claim may still stand. Sammy might want to reconnect with you or make you not upset anymore without necessarily embodying the complex emotion that is guilt.
My cat apologize to me too. He got a little aggressive and bit me kind of hard when i was petting him so i just kind of tapped him in a way as to let him know i didn't appreciate that and he jumped off the bed and then within seconds he came back to sit next to me. They know when they do wrong and will have remorse about it and feel bad. I love my fur baby! 🐈
My cat accidentally bitten me one time, I said ouch then she looked like Oh I'm sorry and licked my hand. I've had several cats and I can confirm they do apologize, they just don't do it every time
I love my baby… she’s very funny, and she has a very strong personality. She has this little thing she does to let me know she wants to be in my lap. She’ll sit near me and raise one paw, indicating she’s ready to come over. It’s precious
I got to treat my cat for his disease and it's usually frustrating and/or painful for him at the end of it. He usually go under bed right after to be quiet but after somes minutes he always came back to cuddle. I really think he does understand that I'm taking care of him and he's such a good boy for induring all this pain quietly as the treatment goes. I'm very proud of his courage
A stray calico walked up to my sister in her yard this past October, begging for food. My sister let her inside and called me. We came and picked her up and found the prettiest and friendliest little calico you’d ever come across, but oddly enough, was clearly a stray. We had her for only a few days before she escaped for two days. I thought she wasn’t coming back. She came home and wanted more love and affection and food. The girl was a vacuum, eating anything and everything she could get to, even meat I left to defrost on the counter. She clearly had food insecurity and associated me with food, so she became my shadow, following me all over and didn’t want to leave the house unless I was outside with her. She never let me out of her sight. Two months later I realized her two day disappearance resulted in a pregnancy. She delivered one still born and four beautiful babies this December, just in time for Christmas. All the babies found loving homes and her tortie girl stayed with us. My girls are both slated to be fixed in April and May and they are the happiest and most spoiled cats you’ve ever met. Trixie the calico no longer has food insecurity - she actually turned her nose up at some STEAK yesterday! 😮 and Gypsy the tortie is a spoiled little 10 week old girl. They are adored and it shows. ❤
she left for two days and got knocked up LMAOOO
My babies all show me they love me. However, the greatest surprise was angel, she spent two years hardly acknowledging that I exist. Then one day she came up and bumped my leg. Since then, at least once or twice a day she tells me she loves me. She still is not into petting, or even a lot of attention. I believe she appreciates her independence, and the fact that I give her protection, but don’t interfere in her life. Whereas, my Lux, is extremely affectionate and responsive to my emotions and how I feel. He knows what I’m sick or not feeling good. When I was gone for about three weeks, my cats caregivers so they never saw him. But at night I could see him sleeping in his bed with my cameras. When I came back, before I even unpacked, he was right there to greet me. Of course, I had to go inside, sit down, and let him sleep in my lap for about a half hour or so.
It's heartwarming to see how differently each cat expresses their affection and understands our emotions. Angel's gradual affection and Lux's intuitive care show just how unique and special each of them is. Your bond with them is truly precious! 💜
We just got a kitten a few weeks back and she's a little mischief maker. But this video opened up my eyes to the ways my little Grace has been apologizing. Thanks and I look forward to learning more about my quirky little companion and what she means with her actions.
Great video, especially the context of cats responding to our emotional communication rather than necessarily sharing our sense of right and wrong. I'm so grateful for the cat friends who have shared their lives with me, however long or short. They make our lives better every day.
Many people only 'read cats, or indeed other pets' only via their oft limited understanding of their actions or reactions. I.E.They expect the animals to 'behave like humans' & not as themselves. 'Lost in translation' comes to mind. Everyone of the cats who have lived with me have been an absolute joy. We both got to know each other through love, trust & understanding & not in the human pretext of demands without exception.
Yes, that bond with a cat is wonderful and special. I've had many cats over a lifetime, and they can have such varying personalities. The thing is to patiently learn your cat's ways, just as that cat learns your ways.
I try to remind people that unlike dogs, cats are pure predators and in the wild are meant to live alone. Even wolves need social interaction.
A lot of people fail to do the research. You must allow them to be themselves and build enough trust to where they will respect you as you are as well. It takes a lot of patience and genuine support to build that special bond.
My experience with cats is that they possess absolute emotional honesty. Most humans, for one reason or another, may hide their feelings. I have the privilege to live with my adorable Whisky 🐈⬛ for 16 years, and still, this amazing black cat astonished me with his intelligence, love, affection, and patience towards the shortcomings of his human dad ❤️ 🐈⬛❤.The only way to have a good relationship with your cat is to respect, care, and love, and considering it like a cat, not a human.
Awwww Love THAT! Keep up the good work, I think it's all they really want from us. To Be our best selves. All animals are our "little truth tellers"
I'm not convinced entirely ... My neighbour has a cat who would visit me a
Lot. He spent equal time between my place and Pat's. I had treats for Oscar which I kept on the kitchen, behind the cushion on a chair. One day I heard strange noises and went to see what it was. Oscar was secretly himself to the treats, and I have never seen a cat look so guilty beforw!
I'd never told him off for anything (and didn't then, either). He looked guilty and worried, as if he was concerned about my reacrion.
Pat asked.me if I'd take care of Oscar if she ever couldn't, and when she died Oscar moved in with me.
I will never forget his little face when he helped himself to those treats!
They do know, but I think what worries them is you not bothering with them again. My cat when she was young actually had tears in her eyes because she thought I was ignoring her. I actually was reading and did not realise she was beside me. Delia Morris
I do love kitties. Our ginger boy passed away last year at the age of 19. He loved to make friends. We also rescued a senior chi. It took a long time, but I did notice them curled up together. At first, the poor little dog was terrified of the big cat, twice his size. We could never put him into a fearful situation again. He's a super senior, now; blind, deaf and wobbly, but ever so confident with a very waggy tail. He still bounces. His landings aren't so great. He wipes out nearly every time then gets right back up. It's wonderful to see him as happy as I ever have...but still, I miss my feline companion. 💗
My fur babies show all of your described behaviors. The emotional bonds we share are magical, immensely strong, and spiritual.
As they should be!
Idk about the "no apologies" thing. Cats are super smart, and if they know you are hurt because of something they did, not only will they most likely not repeat that mistake too many times, but they often do approach quite more gently than they would if their owner were upset with someone else.
I separated my cats from a bad fight one time. I got between them and took the elder cat inside and he turned his anger onto me as soon as i set him down. He scratched down my entire forearm and bit me hard enough to draw 4 little dots of blood… i ended up tossing him away from me and storming out of the room to 1- patch up my arm, and 2- take a moment to breathe and let out my own frustration alone.
A couple of hours later, my elderly cat came into my room. I ignored him since i was still upset with him but he jumped up on the bed where i was and snuggled up to me. He never EVER snuggled me before that day. He likes his personal space… it felt like an apology to me. We both needed time to cool off and he made the first move to let me know he still loves me and didnt mean to hurt me.
I use to travel with my cat in an RV across America. He was my side kick and we were never separated. He'd go with me everywhere. Well, after I moved into a house, I left one day to run errands and was gone maybe about 2 hours. When I got back, I was carrying my groceries up to the door and I heard a cat wailing in despair. I sat the groceries down on the sidewalk bc I wanted to find the distressed cat and help it. I looked under bushes, under tables, chairs, gutters, you name it. I was out hunting for the poor thing for about 30 minutes. When I couldn't find it, I decided to take the groceries inside then head back out and look some more. As I got up to the house the cry got louder and louder until I realized it WAS MY CAT INSIDE!!! Thinking my cat was stuck somewhere and hurting, I dropped all the groceries on the ground, (yep food went everywhere), and I belined it through the door and inside. When I opened the door, my fur baby was just sitting in the middle of the living room crying his eyes out. When he saw me come through the door, he ran to me and dropped belly up, then got up and ran to our cuddle chair, then back to me, hen to the chair. I picked him up and cuddled him for HOURS!!! He now still goes everywhere with me, even errands. If it's hot outside, I don't go or use a stroller to take him inside with me. Oh very much so they get attached.
Gifts mean the cat doesn’t think you can survive without them. 😂
😹😹😹🐁🐁
Interesting if true. Both my cats are rescues who were faring poorly outside, and they never try to give me gifts. I think I am their adopted mama and they know they need me.
@@amberkat8147It is indeed true. They see humans as very inept large cats. If they bring them to you still alive, they’re trying to teach you how to hunt.
I adore my cat, even though I've had a few bites. As soon as he sees me brushing my teeth each night, he jumps on my bed & positioned for sweet dreams. He is my loving companion.
💜😸
I truly think cats can learn the word sorry. My rescue cat and I battled at first with him scratching and biting me. I think he was dumped (he was fixed with no ear clip and knew not to go on counters and furniture). I figure he was still too aggressive and maybe hurt a child and was dumped. No one was looking for him. A lost cat group asked me to foster and I decided to try it. Soon enough, he was just mine when I realized how smart he was. At some point, he head butted my hand after one of the times he hurt me, and I showed him the blood. I said, "Are you sorry?". After that, I reinforced it a few times, asking him to say sorry after something was done wrong. Now if he does something wrong enough and I am upset, if I hold my hand out like a limp fist...he comes over and head butts it. I say, "I forgive you." I truly think he knows it is a way to make things right, which is really what sorry means.
1st time one of my neighbour's cats, Rolo (who kind of adopted me during lockown times), poo'd in my garden, although he covered it up beautifully, I went nuts & sternly sent him out through the gate! The next day he appeared opposite my house in the parking area, all day staring at my front window, & when he'd seen I'd seen him as I came down the stairs, his head bowed down. He crept gradually nearer & nearer, & his head got impossibly lower each time he moved closer, that my other neighbours opposite messaged me saying, "Someone wants to say sorry! ;) I couldn't stay cross for long! As soon as I opened the door, his head almost touched the ground. We went to meet each other slowly & carefully, & then made up, which involved loads of strokes, purrs, head bumps, & later on cuddles, & a LOT of kneading. He wouldn't have known what he'd done wrong; he was just being a cat - in a new handy spot that just happened to be in my garden, which of course was also his, I realised! He so wanted us to be friends again, & the head bowing was definitely something of an apology, as it was so submissive.
He still poo'd in my garden on occasion, but I got used to it, & hoped it would help fertilise the soil. I'm sure he took extra pains to cover it up after my crossness, obsessively smoothing out the ground!
They do understand when they've done something wrong through your reaction like when mine jumped on the table right in my plate of food. The second I gasped he quickly jumped down with ears folded having a nervous reaction. When I sat the plate down in front of him and said " you might as well eat it now that you've stepped in it ". I think he understood my tone of voice and was too upset to even sniff it and walked away. He knew he did wrong. He never jumped on the table again after that.
It's fascinating how perceptive they can be to our reactions and tone of voice, isn't it? Your cat's understanding and response show a remarkable level of awareness. It seems like he really took your message to heart and learned from the experience!
Yah, my Klausi would have forgotten the world around him at that moment and devoured the plate without thinking twice.
My cats may understand when they've done something wrong but they don't care.
I love these precious babies. But I will never understand their behavior. Smart, smart, smart!!!! ❤ LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!! 👍
Thank you so much for your words! 💜
Right now everything in life feels bad, but seeing this is comforting. I've had two strays, a boy and a girl, for over a year now and I was raised a dog person so it's been a bit of a learning curve. Still, without realizing it they've become precious enough to me that I can feel their love through these actions, and its enough to keep me going day by day for now. Perhaps because we're mutually sensitive, and our relationship building is very much about behavioral observation and consent.
My cat used to wake me up by biting my feet early in the morning. I started locking her out of the bedroom every time she did it, so she switched to grappling my feet with her claws. I still kept locking her out. Finally, one morning I felt the strangest sensation, as if someone had walked by and patted my toe.
Finally I realized my cat had learned that biting and scratching didn't work, but a polite little tap might do the trick.
I still didn't feed her at 5am, but I started giving her morning pets because I appreciated her ingenuity.
My Roommates cat connected with me cause I payed lots of attention to him. I was his person. He had a routine with me feeding him cleaning his litter box play time . But when I had to move I was really sad and now I think about him (Benny) is his name.
When I moved in with my roommate I found out he was neglected by her and her son they wouldn't even pick Benny up he just hid under the bed all the time. I miss Benny so so much. She maybe cleans his litter box once a month which is totally neglect.
It's heartbreaking to hear about Benny's situation. It's clear that he formed a strong bond with you, and it's understandable that you miss him terribly. It's concerning to hear about the neglect he's facing now. Perhaps you could have a conversation with your roommate about the importance of proper care for Benny's well-being. Expressing your concerns might lead to positive changes for him
When I first moved in with my friend his female cat was indifferent to me, the stray male that hung around would run away when I came in, after a while the female started jumping on my chest and chilling while I slept. After another month passed she recognized my pattern and would wait by the couch for me to cook and eat my steak then hop on my chest as soon as I laid down, I was her favorite place to sleep. I say sleep but every time I woke up she would be right there staring into my eyes with her forepaws tucked under her, comfy as could be. If it was time for me to get up she would jump down, if not she would wait to see what I did before she reacted, if I just petted her or stroked her neck she would stay and start purring. One day my friend came home for lunch and saw her laying on me and from the look on his face you'd think he caught me sleeping with his wife. 😅 It was really that dramatic. 😂 It was funny.
😹😹😹
My cat and dog got into a small fight and I stupidly came up behind my cat to pick him up and get him away (he was the attacker) and he span around and jumped on my face.
After he came off he stepped back and I swear he actively opened his mouth like he was shocked and ran away and hid in a corner.
I had to go to hospital and needed stitches to 3 locations 😭😂 he’s a scrappy boy lol.
Anyway when I came home, he came straight to me very timid, he purred up next to my face and then sniffed my wounds and done the saddest little meow and he’s never so much as play bitten me since. I honestly truly believe they feel remorse, especially my fuzzy wee guy as he was visibly upset he’d hurt me.
He doesn’t care about the dog and absolutely did not apologise to her😂. They are fine now - we had a behaviourist in and everyone’s friends now!
One of our cats always brings his toy to my girl when she's upset. We realized it was because whenever he's upset, play makes him feel better, so he's been trying to help his mommy feel better in his own kitty way.
Took me a while to warm up to these kittens, but videos like this help me understand them more.
Cats don’t apologize but as part of their clan they want you to be content. They don’t know why you’re upset they just know you are. Just as, if you’re close to your cat, you might not know why they are upset but you know they need cuddles.
They do apologize. Some of my cats did that. Though not every cat apologizes but overall they're capable of doing that
One of my cats absolutely understands what she should and should not do. She understands the words "no," "play nice," and "supper." She likes to lick and chew on plastic and she knows I don't like when she does it. Cats don't all have the same intelligence just like humans don't. A highly intelligent cat can have the IQ and understanding of a 2-3 year old child. This is why treating your cat well is so important. I've seen youtube videos of people sticking things to their cat's feet, or chasing them to see them freak out. If you wouldn't do a behavior to a toddler, then do NOT do it to your cat.
I had one that knew the word chicken. He’d get bites of left overs as a treat so he learned that word real quick.
I have 2 cats who understand quite a few words. Actually cats are capable of understanding between 20 and 50 words. I have trained them to sit and lie down on command . They know up, treat, eat, tree ( cat tree), no, go, come , out, in, food, wait, down, brush, and probably more words than I think they know. Cats like many animals are much more intelligent than people think.
I read somewhere that if we knew how intelligent cats actually were, it would freak us out. Delia Morris

So many of the comments here take my breath away: they are like beautiful poems! They are made by people who know & love cats! ❤ Thank you.
Factual I had a Cat all my Life and They are very Highly Intelligence. You have to Earn their Trust. I Love ❤ all all Cats they are so Sweet they could never do WRONG IN MY EYES ❤
I accidently stepped on my cat in a dark entryway carrying a box and he cried out so loud. I felt so bad and wanted to hold him he was still scared!!! Then he started purring so loud the loudest I ever heard. ❤ and i pet him and loved him.
My cat Cleo and I would have bonding sessions every evening that lasted as long as 45 minutes. I'd be relaxing on my recliner and she'd jump onto my lap and when I folded my arms she lay down just like I was cradling a baby. She'd purr loudly as I gave her scritches, rubs, and light ear massages (which she particularly enjoyed) before she'd finally fall asleep. I spoiled her rotten and we both loved it. When she died at age 16 I cried for 3 hours straight. But the memories live on. I miss her.
My cat is the sweetest little guy. He barely ever breaks rules. He doesn't even jump on the counters or beds. No punishment needed to train him to do this. He's just very receptive to language and he's verbal himself so communicating is key with him. He will be 4 this year. ❤
Thanks for the video. I love my gorgeous shelter cat Mia to bits and she has spent most of today lying on my tummy. ❤
Thanks so much! 💜
She loves you!
I have 4 cats that were strays I wanted to find homes for. I still have them, and wouldn't give them up for any price.
My cat was under my feet and making it hard to prepare dinner. I yelled at her and she went into the dining room.
I felt guilty about yelling at her so I went and told her I was sorry. She let out the longest and most pitiful meow which was her way of saying she was sorry.🥰
Apart from apologizing, my cat also says thank you. :)
When she's hungry and I fill her cup, she rubs up to me before eating.
One time, I noticed she had difficultiy drinking, because the water level of her glass was too low and she had to use her paw to get to it. I took the watering can so as not to disturb her too much and filled it up. At first, she was confused, but then she realized there was more, easily reachable water. Instead of drinking instantly, she came to me to cuddle me shortly. Only afterwards did she drink in peace.
“I don’t like it when you’re upset.” …my daughter has this cat that, if I am yelling, even if it’s over nothing at all, she will run into the room, try to get close to me, and either stand and put her paw on my mouth, or find a way to get her face into my mouth. It’s the strangest thing, and I’ve never seen another cat do this, it’s like she’s trying to shut me up.
My Teddie Bear would get so distressed when I was upset, she'd bite my face. 😂
You shouldn't yell at all.Is very stressful not only for your cat but also for your human family.
@@raniadizikiriki8935 oh boo hoo. They’re the ones yelling at me! If anything, the cat is the savior because of scene she causes. It distracts them, and if I’m still yelling after the fact it’s just me continuing a point, demonstrating/testing to see if it’s the volume that causes her behavior.
remember last year i found a lost kitten, i knew it was lost cause he was so tame and easy to handle. i gave him food and opened a carrier. he walked straight in. anyways got an older cat whos been alone child for 12 years. as soon as i brought this little tiny male kitten in, she became very distressed and depressed. she would look at me stone cold eyes and swat at me for bringing home a hazadous threat. well a week passed by and the vet called me and told me about a young male cat from the area who had gone missing for a day. as soon as the lady who owned him came to pick him up, my older cat became like a kitten again. it was so funny
So lovely! 😸💜
They're territorial.
My cats have different personalities and because I knew them more after a long time together for a year or years now and vice versa,
made me to understand them well and they to me also.
That's real good bond of love to our feline furbabies .
Yes my cats apologize for mischief. They do any of the things you mentioned.
Absolutely accurate. Beautiful!
I'm really happy you liked! Thank you! 💜
I got into a fight with somebody a couple weeks ago, and it really broke my heart, I knew me, and my husband‘s cat was close when I started crying heavy tears and he came up and just curled up on my lap and started rubbing against me, cheered me up and put the biggest smile on my face
Cats express their love differently, it’s subtle yet very touching. I have a territorial cat, she’s sassy and a diva. Yet when I was at my lowest, she spent her time with me, checks on me with her paws when I stare into oblivion, initiates play (she’s over her play years, she’s 12 years old then), meows loudly when she’s in another room and makes me find her, she would legit hide. It was really subtle, but her suddenly playing hide and seek with me when she’s a 12 year old cat then, really diverted my attention from my problems and would make me laugh. She even hid in different spots every single time
While watching this I enjoyed seeing so many beautiful cats. They’re so amazing 😻
Yes! So beautiful! 😻
Mine never does. She always has look, saying „ha, your own fault!“
😹😹😹
great strides have been made in the last twenty years in the field of animal cognition studies. an awesome starter read on this is The Parrot's Lament, by Eugene Linden - creatures are so much smarter and more aware than we give them credit for.
just because they don't necessarily think *like* us - doesn't mean they aren't intelligent. and cats are _very_ intelligent. they're just not all socialized the same.
One of my cats moved her kittens and while doing so, she incidentally bite one a bit too hard while jumping. The kitten cried in pain and she apologized a lot. She was mortified.
The same happened once with me while she scratched my leg quite badly while jumping on my lap.
So, yes, cats do apologize much in the same way we do, for the same reasons.
One of my cats also apologized to me bringing her kitten to look after, because she had not enough milk. That was the most complex conversation with a cat I ever had and it was heartbreaking. She was so thankful that I could give her little one the bottle!
The bringing you their babies because something is wrong I’ve absolutely seen. Or crying to you and leading you to where they are. I don’t know how some of the strays in the neighborhood knew I’d take care of them but it wasn’t uncommon for me to open my door and a sick kitten would be on my porch. There was a black female and gray female that would just bring them to me when their kittens got the eye infection that’s so common with them.
@@debanydoombringer1385 Cats can see, you are likely to help. You probably are talking to them when they pass by and you have a bowl of food somewhere. Eventually you also defend them when there is a cat fight. All these small differences compared to other people lead to tagging you as "friendly".
The cat which brought me her malnourished kitten, was in the past criticized because she abandoned her small ones. This probably lead her to believe, I would have adopted her kittens at any time. Which basically is true. However, in that specific case, she really tried hard to keep up, but wasn't able to. It was half an hour of talking and reacting with her, before she could explain me the problem and ensuring herself I fully understood. She showed me her sore nipples, but did not allow me to touch or cure them, brought me the kitten and licked my hand, and rolled over the kitten to show me what's wrong. Then she tried to pull the milk bowl towards me and to convince the kitten to drink. Of course I understood quickly what the problem was, but not the implications. I prepared a bottle which she watched patiently. I took the kitten on my lap, while she followed up at a small distance. I had to drip the milk onto the mouth at first, and mother cat licked her kitten and me. At a certain point, the kitten accepted the bottle and drunk half of it. She had the most thankful behavior I have ever seen. Relieved. She went away to eat something and came back being thankful. I took the kitten into my shirt, which she observed and checked out. She brought me many mice until she was sure, her small one had a new caring home. She came to take her kitten for cuddles and playtime, and brought it back for feeding. Over night, I took it with me entirely.
Unfortunately, this little kitten died a few months later from neurological issues in a cat hospital. To me it felt like losing a kid.
The other day I incidentally found a photo of it. It still hurts.
My cats apologize sometimes. After they do something bad and run away, they'll often be back soon to snuggle like nothing happened. That's the closest thing to I'm sorry that they do.
My cat has definitely learned what he is and isn't allowed to do. I can tell because most of the time he won't do any of them. But if he gets upset because something he wants done isn't being done right this very second he'll run and start aggressively breaking the rules.
I have to ability to purr to my cat like he does with my throat and this has increase our bond together
After I came home from about a month in the hospital, my cat at 6am the next morning, he came up on the bed and looked at my face very closely, like is that really you? He started head bumping me and then we had a smuggle feast for the next 20-30 minutes. He was so glad to see me again, it was a great feeling for me.
When I get upset with my cat, she also gets upset with me. Then I need to give in and love her!
I love to hear true and studied information regarding my cat and it's Health primarily but also regarding the things that it does and does not like
💜
I remember one of my girls got sick on a giant stuffed animal that cost like $75. our middle baby, Korin, will occasionally get too excited when we put down food and will eat so quickly she makes herself sick. It’s not a common occurrence so it was really shocking to see it happen and on right on something I really enjoyed. I knew it wasn’t her fault and accidents happen but she could tell I was upset. Within minutes all three of our girls were in the room and two were nuzzling and purring at me.
They may not say “sorry” or even understand why we got upset, but they know when we are and try their best ❤
My little boy kitten knocked something off my desk once and it made a loud noise. He heard me coming in down the hall and literally walked up to me, planted himself at my feet and looked up at me! I could swear he swallowed hard too. Hilariously cute. On another note, I’ve had cats for years and can confirm they are extremely aware of our emotions. At times when I’ve felt sad, they’d come to me and just site close and initiate gentle touching. When we laugh while they’re playing, they get sillier. Anyone who doesn’t know cats have and respond to emotions has never carefully observed them! Great video!
They are amazing! 😸
Thank you so much! 💜
I do.... like the video and love cats very much! Thank you, great information!😻😻😻
I thank you for your words! 💜

This video is great. Proud to have become a member ❤
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and the channel! 😸💜
I had to play it twice, the first time I barely noticed the story and just loved the adorable cats on screen
Thank u for sharing this information.i would love u to make a video on cat food preferences and why they do not like changing or introduced to new food.
That's a great idea for a video topic. Cats can indeed be picky eaters, and there are various reasons behind their food preferences and resistance to change. I'll definitely consider making a video about it. Thanks for the suggestion! 💜
I love my hoomans unconditionally. They saved my life. ♥️🐾🐈⬛
Our black Manx cat loves getting his belly rubbed, he doesn’t mind getting picked up and held, as long as it’s on his terms. He also loves being played with and often demands it. He’s a very vocal cat, if he’s hungry he’ll yell at us, and/or rub up against my leg while murring at me. He used to live with my mother, but after she got a puppy, he wasn’t happy anymore. He’d stay outside for days and hide all the time. After living with us, it’s like he’s a different cat. He chirps and meow all the time and he’s so much happier now.
I enjoyed your video. My husband and I have a house cat and feral cats that we love as if they were our children. Your videos were extremely helpful to us. Thank you.😃
I'm very happy for helping! 💜
Thank you so much for the words!
My cats help me with depression, when I have a chemical imbalance. They make me remember it’s temporary and step off the ledge .
They are amazing! I hope you get better soon! 💜
I wish you would do a video about how to touch cats and dogs. Always initiate contact by letting them smell you before you invade their personal space, which really freaks them out. They might bite you if you scare them. Cats are so sensitive and usually don't like to be poked, or touched roughly or patted hard or stroked fast for more than a few seconds. It makes them really nervous. However, if you have a butt kitty, it will turn its tail to you and that means
"Please scratch the base of my tail a little harder." And never ever rest the weight of your hand or arm on them. Its too heavy. Especially with kittens, their bones are so tiny and can easily break, like rabbits bones, too. Cats that are aggressive and hiss, are frightened and in pain. As soon as you can afford it, get their whole bodies x-rayed and see what might be going on. My own usually affectionate kitty started leaping all over the house and hissing at me. Turns out a dog had jumped on her outside and broken her leg badly. She was in agony. Read the signs and don't assume you know what is going on with them. Be respectful to their little lives and bodies.
Your suggestion is noted! I can make the video in the future! 💜
I've loved my cats each and every one of them. For thirty years, I've cared for them. (1- 1993 to 2009 and 2- 2009 - 2024) each of them had their own personalities; honestly, they show you love. As well as some.... well, you know if you know-- cats can throw some shade too. When a cat loves you it's real authentic love, it's unconditional love.
I had a cat continually knock over a fake plant with bark chips where I always had to clean up for many months. He was doing it on purpose. Hugs didn't work, he was just a fun loving bad boy. One day in frustration of having to clean it up again, I whined and said Cotton, please stop doing that. He meowed and never did it again. I was amazed.
My cat apologies by cuddling me
