This is great…. I just got one of these optima and I’m learning a lot and saving some money, mine is a right hand drive and the reverse camera doesn’t seem to work and I think I need a new media console….need some more optima videos bro please..
Thank you! This is what i needed, I’ve never done my own oil in my 2011 kia optima lx 2.4l before. It got a new engine under the class action lawsuit at 200k and it now has 250k on it and still no problems
Good video, after removing the plastic from the new filter, check for debris and burrs in the new filter. Sometimes after threads get cut in the new filter there can be debris and metal burrs. It's good to clean these out prior to priming the filter. Regarding oil level, id add 4.5 quarts and check the level and top up as necessary. Lastly, these hyundai amd kia engines are known for buring oil, generally theyre not great engines so its a good idea to check level every 500-1000 miles and top up as necessary.
All great points. 👌 I did add 4.3 initially but it was very low, under the "L" mark in fact. I mention the oil burning and made 2 videos on how to service & check for that every 500-1,000 miles. I trimmed those 2 parts out of the video because it was about 19 minutes at that point and didn't want my content getting too lengthy

Nice! I'll make some more in the future in that case.
