    Thanks for doing this video. I haven't read through the manual yet and have just been hitting buttons trying to figure it out. This helps tons.

    Awesome video! I just picked up a 40 breeder tank on Facebook market place with a penguin filter and the loop light system for 50 bucks! It was quite a steal but I was confused on how to adjust the lighting settings thanks man!!

    I just stumbled onto your channel. Dude love the content. I’m always on YT looking at original content in regards to simplicity of Saltwater setups. I have two setups a 90 gallon and just setup a 65 JBJ, which is cycling right now. I had the Current USA but had no luck and ending up with AI Prime Hydra and Kessils. Your tank looks good!!

    Hey, the lights don’t come on at the time I set it. The next day it came on when it wanted to, which was a different time than I set it. I hope it’s not a defect.

    Hello, good day, I have a question for what is the wheater function in the control

    • @BarrysAquarium
      @BarrysAquarium  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m assuming you are talking about the weather % button. That sets how likely it will be that the other weather settings will occur during the day (rain, rolling clouds)

    If you but a new remote, how do you get it to sync with the lighting system?

    • @CurrentUSA
      @CurrentUSA 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The remote controllers are universal for each model. As long as you get the same remote, you don't have to pair or sync your new replacement remote. However, you can't mix and match remote controllers from other Current light models (Serene, Satellite, etc).

    I want to see the top part of it. What did you put under the light? Is there any glass lid or it is open? And how often do you add water in it to keep the water level up?

    • @BarrysAquarium
      @BarrysAquarium  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have a piece of plexiglass for the lid. I usually add water about every 5 days

      @@BarrysAquarium Do you mind if I ask what your sunrise and moonlight settings are on and what times you chose for on and off times?

    • @BarrysAquarium
      @BarrysAquarium  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My sunrise/sunset settings are the same as my daytime, they just slowly ramp up. My moonlight is 10 blue and 30 red, but usually turn it off before it gets to the moon setting. I turn the light on at 4:00 PM and turn it off at 9:30 PM. The tank gets a lot of natural sunlight in the summer so I keep the light on shorter. In the winter I have the photoperiod set to around 7 hours.

    hi, big fan of your channel, and I keep an incredibly similar tank to yours (20g long w/ the same light just in the bluetooth version!) along with similar filtration and such. just wondering what your stocking levels are at and how corals handle being on the bottom with lower PAR? I'd be curious to see what similar setups can accommodate! keep up the great work!

    • @BarrysAquarium
      @BarrysAquarium  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Super cool! The corals at the bottom seem to be doing just as good as the higher ones to my knowledge. My tank gets a lot of natural light so idk how big of a role the light plays for the corals. As far as stocking goes I have 2 clownfish, a dottyback, and a cleaner shrimp. I have a few vids on my channel going more in depth if you’re interested . Also cool to hear others have similar tanks and best of luck with yours! 👍

    What makes a light like this so expensive?

    • @BarrysAquarium
      @BarrysAquarium  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The customization is the main thing but other than that it is a little overpriced

    • @isaiahfurrow7414
      @isaiahfurrow7414 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The programming, customization, LEDs, sealing, etc... as well as the fact that the Current USA stuff can be set to control circulation pump patterns for wave action, etc...
      I'm looking to get another, a 36"...when I looked the other day it was going to be Bluetooth controllable, and come with a wave pump as well... for $189... it's going to be $80-100 again to buy T5HO bulbs for an older light, and that is a recurring expense of about 40-50 every few months to keep the 4 bulbs in rotation and good light happening...and those bulbs are getting less easy to find, especially without mail ordering them.... these lights aren't expensive when you compare to some of the pendant options like the AI Prime lights and such... and this or the Fluval Marine 3.0 are about the only "Modern" LED lights for reef tanks in a strip light form factor....
      Amy lighting that is for a reef is going to be fairly expensive , these days even the cheap "black box" Chinese lights are getting more expensive... and I prefer this type vs having a light 16 to 24 inches above the tank either spilling light into the room, or inside a 30" tall hood...
      Just one person's take on it...
