Ya know, on paper I feel like using the Mortal Kombat fighting system for a Batman game wasn't an awful idea, but goddamn did they just not execute it well all. The music alone is enough to drive a man mad.
Jingle bells , Batman smells, Robin layed a egg. The Bat mobile lost a wheel , and JOKER got away, HEY!!!!🎶I remembered that old tune while watching this video.
I remember defeating Batman Returns on Special and Mania. Defeated both without continuing. It was hard but not really that bad once you know how. Special you’ll get to see the final scene from the movie after the scene with Batman defeating Penguin. Mania you’ll get a screen stating that “you are the true Dark Knight”.
Props to you for that. I attempted several times to beat it on mania to no avail. Catwoman is the single most difficult thing about mania.. Even if you block her teleport rush, it still does almost as much damage as if you were hit unprotected by it.
Batman Returns is in my top 10 of all time favorite snes games....as a kid I've seen Batman Returns in the cinema in 92 and fell in love with it....so this game did it for me...i also had Batman Forever for the snes but i traded it for Earthworm Jim after just playing it for an hour 🤣

I know the Batman Forever boss , back in the days I have complete the game once ........ it was a pain in the ass , it take over 2 hours to comple it .

Mike this is one of my favorite oldschool batman game. I have to tell you 1 batman kills the motorcycle guys. The stungun guy you can use the grappling hook to hit him with the wall like the movie.

It would help to select gadgets in forever Smoke pellet and the electric pellet are the go to I know most of the ins and outs of the game perhaps too much

Batman forever on genesis is actually a good game! Has great graphics, ok gameplay and moves are easy to pull off, but it lacks from ememies variety and bosses!
One of my favorite SNES games ever. The graphics, the music, the sound effects, the interactive backgrounds in some of the early beat-em-up levels... and it's Christmas themed on top of that! The only thing I didn't like were the sidescrolling parts, those felt tacked on and unfinished. Everything else is top-notch though. Could've been a little bit longer too.
I take back everything i ever said about Batman Returns on snes, it really isn't bad at all, maybe a bit too short but the combat is awesome, probably cause Konami made it and not LJN.
@@mikematei Skylanders is part of the Spyro series. Spyro after the Ps1 era was struggling with consistent quality. Enter the Dragonfly bombed. Heroes Tail did well but sold poorly and The Legend of Spyro series underwhelmed. Skylanders has you buy toys to play the game. It's a standard beat me up. It's a pay to win game because if you have very few skylanders and they die that's it for tat gameplay session. Skylanders is very expensive to collect for. You are better off just playing the Classic Spyro series on PlayStation. Skylanders gets VERY monotonous.
when it's gonna be possible, it would be awesome if you do an episode with Ps1 fighting games like Tekken 3, street fighter alpha on versus with someone else :)

I bought this game for peanuts back in the day, and it was the worst game ever. I could never figure out how to use the Batbolas, it literally had the worst controls. There was a cheat code that I used to get to Riddler. 1/5
Batman killing mercilessly! Also, the Batman Forever game looks atrocious. Acclaim is better than this. The Batman Returns game was so great. The punching and slamming sound effects, alone, are incredible. It's sad that Batman Forever got the game it did.
Tim Burton should do a couple more Batman movies. I love how he captures the Batman universe. Gotham City never looked better.
Batman Returns is one of the best Batman games of all time and It's a beat em up classic on the SNES and it follows the movie really well.

Mortal Kombat as a fighting game, works well. Mortal Kombat mixed with sidescroller though, has always been a disaster.

You can spear the wall behind the first boss And pull a chunk out to hit him like in the movie! It takes away one whole color of his health bar.

So The manual says it goes Easy, Normal, Hard , Special, and then Mania. If you beat it on the harder levels you can get different endings.
