Merina, I’m still watching but wanted to tell you that my son and I are getting baptized next Sunday. You probably don’t remember but I commented one time that YOU were the person who opened that door to Jesus for me and it is truly a never-ending gift. My 16 year old son has been attending church with me (and my daughter) for the past several months and he has now accepted Jesus into his heart as well. Anyway, I just wanted to say THANK YOU! Although those two words seem so small compared to the magnitude of gratitude I have in my heart for you. ❤ Also, I have had the most AMAZINGLY beautiful things unfolding in my life since finding Jesus and I KNOW I owe it all to him. I even landed my dream job as a family counselor! Everything is so surreal. I’ve been catching up on your videos because I’ve fallen behind due to all the glorious things happening in my life but I just wanted to thank you again, because Jesus AND you are my inspiration.❤

Easter baskets don't hurt anything! My kids know the true meaning of Easter, so it doesn't change the reason we celebrate! My oldest (autistic) always says, Silly Rabbit, Easter is for Jesus!
This brought tears to my eyes several times. You have awesome kids . You and Shane need to know you are some of the best parents I have seen in my 52 years . Y'all are a blessing to us all.❤

Marina, Your doing so great at teaching your children the true meaning of Easter. You explained it on their level of understanding. I just love that! I also always gave my kids a Easter basket but they also knew why we celebrate Easter. Nothing wrong with that in my eyes. Once again I have to tell you how proud of you I am. You are cooking, cleaning, taking care of your family and yourself. God has Got you girl! He is still teaching us all things big and small.

That's some of my favorite memories of childhood. My mom and dad (who was a pastor ) always made sure we celebrated the holiday's we had Easter baskets and the story time of Jesus and his precious gift of life for our sins.
Awe Cammie’s facial expressions after sprinkling that in the bowl was priceless. He was so proud. Your family is so beautiful & I love your shirt. Shane looks like a young man with no facial hair. My husband is 51 and when he shaves all of his off he looks still 15.

I LOVED the Easter baskets, so cute. I did the bare minimum this year for my kids.
The most holy of women - my husbands mawmaw once said - let the children be children and I’ve remembered that - this was a powerful Christian woman who glowed from the presence of God
Here is another heavenly tip for cooking. For the mash potatoes, trying adding 1/4 to 1/2(depending on how many potatoes) cup of cream cheese. They come out so fluffy and creamy!
Happiness on my home Merina is on! There is nothing wrong with kids having Easter baskets Jesus would approve I'm sure, our church has Easter egg hunts😊
I didnt have a traditional Easter dinner. My dad pass back in July. And his Birthday this year fell on Easter. So I made meatloaf, mash potatoes, carrots, mac n cheese, devil eggs and potato salad. Ever think of instant pot, they are amazing. Potatoes done in 8 mins, hard boil eggs done in 4. Love it.
You and your family are so beautiful that was so sweet for one of the girls to offer Cami one of their eggs because he didn’t have any. Good job you and Shane are doing keep up the good work ❤

Something I started to do for smaller holidays for my niece and nephew is give them a candy and a gift card to their favorite restaurants.

Happy Easter. My deviled eggs are melted butter, a dash or two of Worcester sauce, Grey Poupon mustard and a brown spicy mustard and I do it while the yolk is still warm, just easier to mix. You did a wonderful job on dinner. ❤ From Boston
Merina, the next time you make your Heaven in a pan. Add 1 cup chopped Pecans or walnuts to your flour and melted butter for your crust. It is very yummy! I loved how the family praised your Chicken n' Dumplins!❤

Merina, so proud you didn't go overboard on the kids Easter baskets. We all make chicken and dumplings, "angeled" eggs, and mashed potatoes different. I guess it's what we are use to, or at least for me, things tasting like it did when my Mamaw made it. My Mamaw was a great cook and so was my Granny. I am a " no bay leaf" person. Thanks for sharing your Easter with us.

My son does theater and one of his first plays he ever did was the little mermaid. So when you guys started singing "Under the Sea", he was in my room and heard it and started doing the dance they did in the play haha. I can't believe he still remembered it.
Its not the amount of gifts its the meaning behind it. Kids just want to know they are loved. You and Shane need to do a cooking video that would be fantastic. You two are so entertaining
Your Easter dinner looked amazing girl. My mouth is watering. My grandkids love making Resurrection Rolls. The glow-in-the-dark eggs looked really cool. How fun to hunt them in the dark!

Your chicken and dumplings looked so good! Need to try them this way. Love trying different ways to fix things. I usually make mine with Bisquick mix and cream of chicken, and chicken broth. So good! 🤤

We keep Easter centered around Jesus, but I always give my kids a small basket of treats. They are 12 and 15, and they still enjoy me doing something special.
I hope you all had a blessed Easter, when you measure dry ingredients you use the pink measuring cups, but when you measure liquids like your milk you use the large clear measuring cup that can be 1-2-4 cups but it’s just for liquid. but you can get the results you want your way ,🤣🤣🤣 just sharing my jr high days, and my momma, but she cooked by eye, a little bit here a little bit there. 😂 and I LOVE WATCHING you and your family making memories!!!

Merina, you did a great job multitasking. I used to work for a caterer. He always wrote down his menu, and then how long it to to prep the food and then cook times. That is what taught me how to time my meals. Being a momma with unofficially diagnosed ADHD, it was so hard to cook multiple things.
I loved your telling of the empty tomb. That is what we need to remember, yes Jesus died on that cross, but death did not keep Him down. He conquered death and rose on the third day. His followers found that empty tomb! They must have gone through out the land shouting, HE’S ALIVE, HE’S ALIVE! I can’t wait to talk to Mary Magdalene and the disciples. I want to know what it was like to see that empty tomb!

I don’t do Easter here anymore when it comes to baskets but I think you did absolutely amazing with the kiddos baskets and being intentional is what it’s all about. I hope that they loved it.

Hi Merina. Love your videos. What works for me with deviled eggs is to put the eggs in ice water after they're done boiling. I normally don't leave them in the ice water for an hour but maybe 15 to 30 minutes. They then peel very easily. I also add mustard, mayo, salt & pepper and sweet pickle relish. And then sprinkle the top with paprika. For my mashed potatoes: I LOVE lumpy mashed potatoes. I often leave the skins on. Cut them in cubes and boil them and drain when done. Then I use a potato masher and mash by hand. I add butter and milk as needed and S&P. Then I serve them with packaged pepper gravy. My husband and I love it. Do whatever works best for your family. I hope you guys had a blessed Easter mama!! I'm so excited to watch this, your videos have really been getting me through the long days and really motivating me to do all the things I have to get done!! It has been a rough few weeks, but despite the trials and tribulations, we have also been so BLESSED!! One of the twins has been doing physical and occupational therapy for a few months now and he is doing so well with it!! He has hit so many milestones, he is eating solid foods, sitting up on his own, crawling and pulling himself up now!! I also finally came to terms with the fact that despite being a twin, he is still his own person! It was so easy for me to compare them and notice all the things he wasn't doing that is brother was!! I'm just happy he is making such amazing progress and wanted to share!! Hope you guys are doing well mama!! 🥰🥰

Vegetable oil is actually the worst oil for your health. Cold pressed extra virgin olive oil or pure avocado oil is very healthy.

I spoon my deviled eggs too :) I’m a pickle juice person but I use sweet pickle juice and not dill - love it! You def have a house filled with love and laughter!

Merina, I do my Deviled Eggs just like you but you only have to let them sit in the ice bath for 5 minutes. This is how my Mamaw made them too. Yummy!❤❤❤
