I feel for anyone dealing with resentment because it has really made me feel and act like a person that I want nothing to do with and it's so hard to let go. I wish I could let go but right now I can't I will be back to this video soon

This was so helpful. I pray anyone who feels that "weight" can feel relief. I've suffered with feeling like a failure for years. I struggled to find passion for life. So much pain I've felt has consumed me in a way I didn't even realize it had. This video was so healing. And so helpful. Its not immediate, but its just so nice to hear someone speak to the feelings you have. With no bias. Im grateful for this video, and hope you all get the same relief.

I think about the "thought" till it triggers me, then I "take the words away" and feel the sensations until it abates, then I think the thoughts again, and repeat this until the thoughts no longer give me pause...jmho

Hi, I’ve been practicing this technique, I’ve been thinking about bringing up the thoughts on purpose hoping to purge all the emotions but I wasn’t sure if I should. Did it dissolve all of your emotions to the particular thoughts? I hope this question makes sense, thank you 😊

Interesting because I find a parallel between this way and exposure response prevention, a technique used often in treating OCD. I’ve used it on and off for 20 years. It sometimes works and sometimes boosts the stickiness of the feelings. The therapists swear by it. It does make sense but also it’s important not to get caught in rumination as another person said on this thread.

When I'm angry, I listen to music. The last time I was angry was last year when I got fired from my job. I messed up on my line when I was stressed. Then the shift leader snitched on me, and my boss fired me. I was so angry. But I finally let go of my anger. And now I'm happy that I'm not working there anymore. Every time the sun comes out for some reason I smile.

Thank you for this. I will keep using this practice I find myself constantly in the loop you describe. The company I worked for was bought out by another company and the lied to us about so much. That was more than two years ago and I have found myself going over the same thoughts again and again. I know letting go of my resentment is what I need to do but it feels so hard. I actually quit early last month because of my resentment and falling into these destructive thought patterns. The people on my team are some of the best people I have ever known and I feel like I abandoned them because of my anger and unwillingness to accept the changes. Now that I have I have left the company I feel sadness and regret. My anger was effecting my work and blinded me to the amazing team I was with who were able to stick it out. I know they care about me and I feel like shit for leaving them. I have a new job now but I miss my old team. I need to get over my anger because it has destroyed so much in my life and I think this is the first step in doing so. Thank you!

💙 THANK YOU SO MUCH for providing alternatives to the terminology that applies to letting go. I have been perceiving the term “letting go” as closure and as having to say goodbye, and that made me feel resistant to the process. “Letting it be” and “accepting” on the other hand feels more like an open, flowing state where there is no beginning and no end. This makes sense because energy has no beginning and no end. It is important to release things in order to expand, but also important to keep an openness to possibilities in order to allow for expansion to occur.
My understanding of this practice is that the primary action is to let go of the story behind the emotion so that we can be present with the experience of the emotion without labels or judgement. Just accepting and being witness to the sensations of the energy behind the emotion and allowing it to flow through. Knowing that we don’t have to meet an end goal or put a time limit on the process makes the process itself seem less heavy and forced. This goes back to your teachings of no worry, no force, and to simply be in the awareness of the present moment. It nullifies our tendency to judge ourselves based on perceptions of failure or success, and to simply trust in the process.... So much helpful information! Today’s advice is a game changer for me. Thank you!!

    Awesome video, Thanks Sunny.
I find talking to the emotion helps too. For example, if I'm feeling angry I will say 'it's ok anger, come on up/through. You have been trapped in my body for a long time without my attention. It's ok to come up now, I can feel you, it's ok'...

He provides a quality methodology of desensitizing the negative associations we have at the mere mention of the words "resentment" and "anger." Absent the bluff of the bad associations, we can more capably and calmly recognize these as mere thoughts bluffing us and our adrenals. His teaching allows us to be witnesses to the foolish thoughts vs. any longer being angry participants.

Im half your age, but ive been where you are. I spent age 12 to 25 just wishing i was dead because i was nothing i wanted to be, had nothing i wanted, living a life i didnt want, etc etc.
Why live at all if i cant have, be, or do, anything that i desire?
But thats the kicker. It is desire that is the actual source of the suffering.
Buddhism was the start for me, and explained a lot about the nature of suffering, but delved off into dogmatic stuff and ritualistic stuff which turned me off instantly. Then came the sedona method for releasing negative emotions, which explained more, in far less dogmatic ways, and then came Lester levensons autobiography, (he was a normal guy who nearly died, was extremely miserable and struggling, and went on to discover inner peace by trial and error, and taught others how to do it. He created the sedona method, which teaches several methods of releasing. David hawkins was one of his students)
In this autobiography were several truths that he discovered and shared, that i tested in my life, and you can test them too.
1: that your happiness is determined by your capacity to love
2: that all thoughts manifest (including thoughts of lack and limitation, so, by thinking of how you want something, you remain wanting it. If you think you dont want something, you are wanting it away from you, and therefore keeping it in your life. If you think and feel and experience something as already in your life, already completed, already yours, it quickly becomes so. This can be more difficult, because opposing thoughts will cancel each other, and far easier to test on objects/situations that you dont care either way about finding/recieving, like a pointy blue rock, or a free or 90% discount on an item you already own and dont need a 2nd one of. (the discount if you have a belief running subconsciously you have to pay for everything or feel guilt/shame etc about free stuff)
His autobiography is called no attachments and no aversions and can be found on the net. His teachings were by far the clearest and most logical and most important to helping me. The 2nd most important is john kehoes book mind power into the 21st century which is a series of clear and effective techniques for manifesting.
All of these things do work, but only if you use them. You can significantly reduce, and even completely eliminate your suffering. I promise you this on my soul.

I am so grateful for this video, and glad I came across it. I am beginning a new chapter next week and starting a new job that I was excited about after going through a long tough job search. I came across some interactions with people that created some negative emotions, deflated my confidence that I've been trying to rebuild, and made me feel "less than." This is not the energy I want to take into this new job and chapter. These interactions seemed to linger and I was trying to "shake it off" and find a way to let go. Then I found this video. It's helped me to process these emotions before I start my job in a couple days. I'm excited about watching your other videos. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏🏼

Wow this is super important! When we have baggage we are working against ourselves. It's just like being emotionally unavailable in a relationship. If you are still holding on to old feelings for someone else then you can't move on to another person. Same things go for everything. Let GO of the negativity, the resistance. I like the concept that you just accept it and surrender and now focus on the positive instead.

Strong negative feelings seem easier to let go for me. But how to let go the feelings that are subtle, they are not easily felt fully?

This works! But I have to say the thought or assumption about the person to bring up the emotion. Thank you!

I'm a very angry person. I hate it. Anger is my #1 issue

I really bottled up because one individual took advantage of my genuine kindness and he eventually harassed and verbally bullied me in his work environment. This living devil is still breathing and somewhat respected doctor to public and I hate him so much. His actions caused me physical and mental and emotional traumas. Even my body does not work and doesn't feel normal or natural or as good as it used to be in certain damaged areas. He even financially abused me. I have so much resentment almost everyday but I just try to ignore it but I feel stressed out to this day. Ty for this video.

When I do exercises like this why do I feel like my anxiety increases 10 fold? I don't know if anyone else experiences this, but it is a way more heavier feeling than the current anger or resentment I may be feeling, it's like invisible forces are pounding the anger into me so that I don't let it go. It's awful and I don't know how to get past this.

Let it get more intense. Simply do not react. If you stand your ground without giving into it, it will over time dissolve. Watch it with dispassion and disinterest, let it play out.

Does Letting go not give the wrong message to people who are your abusers? The Abusers will do the same thing.Doing this seems irrelevant at times. If you also give solutions to combat the abusers efforts, then it seems practical. At the end of your day you can heal through this way.

thoughts also generate emotions. at some point it is necessary to examine thought processes also. otherwise this practice is only symptom relief.

Yes, I read in the book of Bodidharma that
Nature of the feeling wether it is sadness or happiness is empty.
We have just labelled it... There is nothing like happiness or sadness it is simply what it is.
