    Tom- I love those style pliers, they are so handy for many projects. One project I suggest for the Dake is making a small box next to the Dake to place the compression handle, the hook on the side is basically meant for transportation but when you place the pump handle on a solid surface next to the Dake it will change you life and make it so much easier to pump and control the pressure. It was the best thing I ever did! Awesome stuff!

      Thanks for the suggestion John, I will definitely do that at some point.

    I believe that Bushnell makes tools for gunsmiths I wonder if same company looks like great restoration I also like channels like CP the tool Addict and Scoutcrafter Luke bew high end tools and I also love the older tools a little more and have a blast restoring old tools locks and other trinkets

      Bushnell is an optics manufacturer/ brand and as far as I know does not offer any Gunsmithing tools.
      Vaughan & Bushnell has been a tool manufacturer specializing in Hammers and other striking tools since about the 1880's.

      I think really what they did is either invent something they didn't know already existed, or just implemented a design in a new way.
      Took something people had been using for an unintended purpose and tweaked it to better suite that new intended purpose.

    Looks great! What vertical belt sander are you using?

    • @TomGunnTools

      I use a couple but they are both 42 inches. An old delta/Rockwell direct drive and Dayton belt drive.

    Hey Tom. Just got a bench grinder and want to start some basic tool cleaning and restoration. Can you recommend which kind of wheel to put on both sides? Thanks

    • @TomGunnTools
      @TomGunnTools  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Look into getting a stiff one (the one I got is a dewalt) and on soft one (I have a cheap brass coated one from harbor freight). Then you can look at getting a fiber wheel.

    Those pliers are ready to get back to work. Again the dike does a fantastic job.
    Side note: I’ve noticed the audio in your videos is perfect, what’s your camera setup? Do you run an external mic?

    • @TomGunnTools
      @TomGunnTools  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Cody, appreciate the comment on the audio as I was curious how it sounds. All I use is my phone no external mic. I am cautious to try to speak the same volume and keep the same distance from the phone as I speak.
