I started using the Reactivate hair serum from litlllextra for the past month and totally switched from my old serum since the past two months. It's been great. I just apply it once every day with the spray pump that comes with the serum. It's very easy to apply, non greasy, and without any scent. The hair growth is so far so great, and it's only 1 month only and I plan to continue to apply it.

I’d like to emphasize that nutrition is key for hair health and growth. You can put all the products on your head but those are temporary fixes. Fixing my diet and realizing my deficiencies was key to getting my hair back on track. If products aren’t working look at your diet!!!

FINALLY someone who has a hair growth video NOT promoting not washing your hair!! When I began my hair growth journey I started not washing my hair as much as possible and literally it ruined my hair. I thought it was something else so I tried literally everything but it turned out I'm just one of those people that has to wash my hair at least every other day. So thank you for this video because now I feel less crazy!

    • @sherridillon2767

I agree. I followed that trend of not washing my hair as much and ended up getting folliculitis! I also got a few bald spots from doing that. I realize now that by prolonging washing it caused clogged hair follicles. It makes a breeding ground for bacteria and build up

I have to everyday due to oily skin, you get the response of noooo stop and it won’t be as oily but for me it’s not over washing it’s just I have extreme oily skin and my hair suffers for it, everyone’s situation is different and we can’t all be placed in one box

    • @vkysa0117

It depends on your hair type because mine is dry, frizzy and pretty curly so I wash my hair once a week because washing my hair anymore than that in a week would just make my hair super weak and dryer. In contrast, my mum has very straight oily hair and she washes her hair every two days and that works for her.

The science behind brushing your hair from bottom upwards is the fact that when you brush it from the top of your head you only make knots tighter and end up breaking them with your brush. From the bottom, you can smoothly detangle them at their very tightest spot. Highly recommended!

Same here with drying! I put on a microfibre towel the moment I get out of shower, leave it on for about 30 minutes. After I’ve taken it out, I gently brush my hair with a wet hair detangler, let it air dry for about 10 minutes then finish off with my hairdryer on the coolest setting, and it’s always silky smooth and less frizzy than if I let it air dry completely. I always have this argument with others who are completely against using a dryer to dry hair, but honestly my hair thanks me for it.

@@Narii.eI would absolutely say that my diet and nutrition had the biggest effect on my hair growth. All these steps will to some extent help promote healthy hair but without a nutritious diet your hair would not look healthy or grow faster just by using these steps. I’ve shaved my head 3 times now and have tried so many quick fixes but really noticed the difference when I changed my diet.

I love your emphasis on scalp health. If the scalp, hence hair follicles, are compromised, then hair growth is too. Using a (large boar and nylon) Mason Pierson is my personal best advice. It increases blood flow to scalp AND distributes sebum (natural scalp oil). Best for straight or wavy. Taking a great Biotin supplement DAILY is also very helpful.

The reason your brush goes through much easier when it’s vertical is because the bristles align straight through. When you turn your brush the normal way and try looking straight through the bristles, they’re haggard and don’t align. But when it’s vertical you can see how they align in straight rows which makes it glide through your hair wayyyy easier.

Some hair tips I used and they worked for me!
1:Wash your hair every other day (If you wash your hair everyday your scalp gets oily and will tend to leave dandruff and will leave bald spots)
2:brush your hair at least 2 times a day (This helps your hair get rid of snarls and tangles)
3: I used a anti itchy scalp shampoo (Cause my scalp was really itchy this might not work for you but if your scalp is itchy I recommend this type of shampoo)
4: massage your scalp (this helps your roots relax and might help grow out your hair roots)
5: Get your split ends cut off or a trim (This will help remove the dead hair on your scalp and won’t be in the way for growing new hair)
6: Leave your hair in a towel after your shower/bath for at least 10 min (this will dry your hair but will also leave it a little damp and will help your hair when you brush it)
7: blow dry your hair with the cooler setting
    Bye!

Yes but for the towel one I would recommend using a microfibre t-shirt as it’s not as agressive and DON’T put your hair in a “twist” when toweling it up! This will lead to breakage and pulling in your scalp and damage your hair so just be careful!

Got layers and told the person not to thin it out even more than it was and they did the opposite while cutting off too many inches 😭 what I do now is eliminate heat first and foremost, and I found it to be the most effective and secondly adding rosemary, ginger, and castor oil and massaging my scalp every other day. I put my hair n braids and I take biotin and vitamin D and lastly patience. So far I think it works 🙂

Everyone’s hair is different! Some people need to wash their hair more frequently than others such as shorter or thinner hair. I have thick hair and when it’s long I used to wash it once a week now that it’s shoulder length I wash it every 4-7 days depending on how oily it gets. Do what works for YOUR hair type!

HELP: just got my haircut and it’s wayy shorter than it’s supposed to be. it was almost all the way down my back and was feeling too long so I wanted it shorter for my holiday which I’m leaving for in 5 days. I showed the hairdresser where I wanted my hair and specifically said to my shoulder bone (where my bra strap is). basically she cut it and I always have it shorter at the front and I couldn’t see the back (she didn’t show me the back in a mirror like she usually does) so I just assumed it was longer at the back like it normally is. when she finished I was mortified at how short it was as I’ve always been a long hair girlie so now I’m really upset and idk what to do. any more tips on how to grow my hair asap would be very much appreciated xxx

Phenomenal video, super in depth and informative. Just wondering, when you put oil (ex jojoba oil) in your hair before shampooing, do you still only shampoo the roots? Is the shampoo rinsing down enough to remove the oil from the ends?

I put conditioner on the top layer of my scalp... not directly on the roots and can go up to 6 days without washing it or having to use dry shampoo (depending on the conditioner). Does that count as putting conditioner on the roots? Legit question. Because if I don't do this then I literally can't get a brush through the top of my hair without it being a knotted mess. Do you suggest I continue to do it how I do or stop this and just focus on mids and ends? If I should stop how do I keep the roots smooth, silky, and brushable?!

The tips that are most important are probably how often you shampoo, where you shampoo, where you condition, and how you treat you hair. I trim a bit of my hair every 6 months due to dead ends/ split ends and they act like weeds.

Nope, touching ur ends won't affect hair growth.

Refrain from touching scalp. Becomes dirty faster

I had a hair loss moment during a week this year and it was incredible how the rosemary tonic made it stop within 3/4 days, now I can see the baby hairs growing waaaay faster e stronger. super cool, she is so right about keeping your head clean also, very important

I can’t stand when people say cut your hair it grows faster literally is the one thing you don’t wanna do even if you have dead ends it’s better to grow your hair out to the desired length and baby it the whole time like use only good hydrating and moisturizing products and use products that will help with having a healthy scalp using oils be gentle and use little to no heat and massage 💆🏻‍♀️ scalp as much as possible try different products that stimulate blood flow that’s how it’s grow “faster” and longer

    • @dr.m6152
      @dr.m6152 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I agree. Plus if you trim your end at home chances are the scissors will be too blunt and will cause more split ends. Split ends can be annoying but you just kinda have to 'fight through' them til you reach your desired length

For the silicones. As far as i know, Most silicones Used For Hair Care arent water sullible, or however thats called.
So U would Need sulfates in Order to get Them Out.
    How do U do that?

This is absolutely wonderful advise. Been growing my hair for 9 YEARS!! and it's only bra strap length. I quit SLS streatched my washes gave up heat etcetc. Still my hair grows so slow. I notice when I washed once a week I lose so much hair, it's also a greasy mess. I've switched to Co wash and I'm going to try washing every other day, and heavy oiling once a week. So far I've noticed less hair in my brush even though it's been 4 days.

Currently, I have really really damaged hair. The ends were bleached and they are just puffy and frizzy, it's literally fried. But I'm trying to grow it out and I can see black coming out from my roots. When Audrey says that too clean hair can be prone to dandruff it's true. I wash my hair every day so usually have a lot of dandruff. But I have to wash my hair cause it gets itchy the day after I wash it and it's really unbearable. I feel like I'm wearing my hair out and my hair is already naturally fluffy but not curly. Is there any way to not make it itchy without having to buy a bunch of products??

If you use silicones you have to use sulfates.. sulfates are the only thing that can strip off the silicone so that you can deliver hydration into the hair, otherwise you get a build up and your hair, even though it's still shiny from the coating on it, gets dry and brittle and snaps off. Hair oils (jojoba, argan, castor, ect) have the same smoothing and shine effect as silicones, and you don't need a harsh chemical like sulfate to get rid of it.
