It's literally the first thing I noticed. I have a 2016 XT, and it's one thing the really made the old generation of XT stand out above the base trim Foresters.
until this moment no SUV or CROSSOVER was able to compete with Subaru Forester XT HP and Torque one reason I never change mine 2013 FXT 95,000kms also its the last generation with turbo.
@@theelephant5974 i think its 200,000 km or more and I'm in 105,000km now with no CVT oil change and no problem either but i plan on changing the cvt oil and putting a CVT cooler on it. and mind you the CVT model of this car still what subaru use in their newest WRX 2022 the TR690 so i know its pretty reliable

Some markets got the SJ (4th gen) for the 2013 model year, other places like North America didn't till 2014. The hood is aftermarket, they didn't come stock with a scoop like the previous gens

Gorgeous XT. I have a 2016 XT Touring, and despite the lack of a manual trans, it's a great car! That hood scoop really sets it apart.
Loving my '17 FXT and made me smile seeing almost the exact same aftermarket mods on yours as mine.

Don’t underestimate a Subaru XT. Many a so called performance car has been embarrassed by one.
I love mine JDM XT, has factory 280hp and it's insane the power for a SUV. Yet, I still can get 7,8l/100km driving gentle.
That's a 5 seconds SUV pretty powerful

i thought they had turbo up until 2018. They just had a cvt engine or am i wrong ?

well, you could get a outback 2.4 xt now, but i don't think it is as good

The CVT is this cars Achilles heel unfortunately…
But the turbo benefits from the CVT. Constant high RPM means no drop in boosts.
