    Shaquille O Neal himself has said that Dennis Rodman was so strong that big men would sometimes struggle to back him down, and its down to his lower base, Rodman could have easily been a track and field player if he wanted to.

      The lanes are so open because you have to respect shooters. It’s a reason the game has evolved. Players shoot better and you have to respect it. I still watch tapes of old finals and I laugh when I watch them shoot 3s. They took good open 3s and still only shot like 35% 😂😂😂 that’s why the lanes were clogged. Because the shooters were great enough. And the people who were shooters were just specialist. Didn’t have all around games like kyrie and dame and skilled guards of this era.

    • @mumblezz__5890
      @mumblezz__5890 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      And you do know that there are counters to handchecking right? It’s called a step back and a drive and kick. Or can get in the post. It’s not like handchecking made you not being able to use your hands. It was literally just them having their hand on you. Players still hand check sometimes today and it’s not called, it’s just not as vicious as back in the day because they used to club after also. You’d have to have watched the games to know ab the club to the back.

There weren't any othet real juggernaut teams if so someone else would've made more than 2finals . The league was just super balanced so Jordan could be the difference because his roster was never overmatched. 80s Lakers and Celtics are better.

    This argument again.
    The Bulls won the most game ever at the time, and they followed through by winning the title and defeated the 64-win Sonics in the Finals. They also happened to threepeat. So I'm not sure what else a team needs to do to be considered the best ever.

      Mischa S. @Milos The only sport we can quantify is track. As we can see runners are getting faster and faster. We constantly make improvements and adjustments to things based on the data we pull from what came before us. It’s called innovation. Let’s look at it like if you were a company hiring employees. Would you rather hire from just one source or be able to hire your staff from an entire world population. The fact that Jordan never competed against the global competition that Lebron has is another point against him. Lebron lost a few rings to some international greats. Manu, Tony, Dirk ect. You can’t assume that Jordan would transition well into a league that is dominated by shooting. We have seen Lebron adapt his game into being able to keep up with these shooters being the best point guard in the league as well as having the highest IQ on the floor

Michael Cooper can hold Kobe in check for at least 2-3 games in a 7 game series which would be the difference, Kobe wasn't ready for a real beast team like the 87' Lakers in his 2001 body. The 87' Lakers were a complete team with 7 players avg double digit points in their entire 87' playoff run. Don't forget my man, Big Game James Worthy, 2001 Lakers got no real answer for him. One of them was faster, quicker, more athletic, more clutch, more efficient, better scorer, better passer, better rebounder, better fundamentals, better footwork, better body control, had higher vertical, able to play better through sickness and injury, had a greater will-to-win, etc than the other.

Could the Phil Jackson lead Lakers beat his younger self Phil Jackson lead Chicago Bulls. To make it interesting, let the coaches have the knowledge of their earlier selves. This means that the Lakers version of Phil would know the team and the plays and the weaknesses of the Chicago Bulls teams he coached. And Steve Kerr having been a player who played with both Michael and Phil would have the experience by playing with both of them.
