I've been living with a focus active for over a year now and I can say I like it. I have enough room in the car (I'm 198cm tall) the people behind the drivers seat well not that much space left for legs 😅 and I have like 5 to 6 cm of headroom left. I have arround 6.5L on 100km for every tank and a range of nearly 780km on medium distances only.
The car reaches its top speed of 200km/h quite easy and with its Sport mode it pulls quite good for a 150hp 3zyl engine.
I have a bit over 11.000 km on it now and I had no bigger issues.
Light is also decent on mine I have good led low beams but sadly only halogen high beams.
All in all o can say the car's great also in winter.
I would buy it again but I would try the 180hp ish 4 zyl if it is still made with it then.
Hope my comment was useful for others that are interested.
(I have the hatchback not the long one😅)

I've heard good things about the 1.5 engine. Shame it is not offered anymore with the facelift though, not sure about how that new 1.0 mhev would do in the long term.

I'm 199cm tall and I bought this car mainly for the reason it is so spacious (on top of being extremely good looking). I hope engine and transmission will be reliable!

@ 2:47, that push button start is an ergonomic nightmare being aggressively angled towards the steering column.
You use it at least twice on every trip, I'd rather wrangle a key into a barrel old schools!

Thanks for the informative review. Could you possibly clarify the observation regarding the rotary mode change. Is there a problem with it ?
Also what is the automatic transmission like.

These kind of cars age a lot quicker then "premium" brands. The new Focus is now, what 3-4 years old and looks dated already, mostly on the inside. Compared to other manufacturers that are more or less timeless in their new design and not in need to develop a whole new car as often, except for minor updates in design and technology. Look at Volvo or Audi for example. Ford is not a bad car, but lack the touch of timelessness. Just look at the analog cockpit e.g

Those headlights seriously look like the ones found on the Tesla Model S.
