We grew up with this guy.
Met him in person when I was 2yo. Only proof for me is an old faded Polaroid picture on my dad’s shoulders in a shopping centre back in his Saddy days.

Those concerts well sell out crowds, and in the day it worked out for everyone that couldnt get tickets, because they always televised the big concerts that had sold all tickets. But they also did not just televise, they also had a radiostation broadcast the sound as well at the exact same time.
So people would watch their TV and switch off the volume, then tune in the stereo to get the sound and watch while getting the best sound out of their stereo systems.

He's great and the way he sings with emotion you can actually feel the song and the words . They are great songs with great messages in beded with the lyrics. If you like John have a listen to the seekers and the song I am Australian. Great band also

it's actually a cover of "Help" by The Beatles, but if you listen to the (upbeat) Beatles version you'll see John has done a complete rearrangement and made this version - the best version - his own. I think John Lennon said this is how it should've been performed, but The Beatles record company wanted it to be upbeat

The sexophone is an incredible instrument to play with.
Taken a Beatles classic and made it his own. John is such a phenomenal singer can anything. So much passion and emotion in every word, he makes you feel every word Great musicians very talented with him. Such a lovely humble down to earth man.John is 73 now and last August had an operation for mouth cancer and home at the moment on his long road to recovery. Great wonderful reaction to our John, once heard you will full in love with his amazing music and voice. This song was at the end of a 2 hour concert. Thank you for getting John's music out there for more people to discover. 🇬🇧 x

It wasn't quite the end of the concert that night. There was another encore after Help where John came back out and sang Sadie and ended the night with the high energy AC-DC classic It's a Long Way to the Top. 😊

Always my favourite of his songs since I saw him do the very first performance of it on TV. John's most swoonworthy songs are Burn For You and Touch of Paradise. His most stunning performance though, to me, is from Jesus Christ Superstar. The song is Gethsemane, the last night live Sydney 1992. It's so emotionally and vocally perfect you believe he really is Jesus.
