Thanks for reacting John Farnham. Isn't he just great. One of the best voices in the world. A great entertainer and an all round lovely man. So many great songs from this Aussie Legend for you to discover

John slowed it down, gave it the emotion and vocal skill it deserved, and it became his song. There is a beautiful love song he co-wrote called Burn For You. 'Touch of Paradise' is swoonworthy, but the one performance that makes your heart stop, your breath catch and shed tears is Gethsemane- the last night in Sydney 1992. For an amazing blues song it's -When Something is Wrong With My Baby, live on Hey Hey it's Saturday, with Jimmy Barnes. John's live performances are always better than the studio tracks. John has said that his fans give him so much love and energy that he just wants to give back to them everything he's got. The most energy and FUN I've ever seen on stage is It's A Long Way To The Top - with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. It will blow you away!

John Farnham is still a good looking man. Je is very sick at the moment, he has had cancer treatment. But apparently doing well.
To think he backed this up with the high energy of It's a Long Way to the Top in the encore he sang 'after' this one!

Merry Christmas sweet sweet OGO. Covering a Beatles song can be career ending. The successful covers of Beatles songs are the ones where the artist puts their own stamp on it. Reinventing the song if you will. Mr. Farnham does just that with his treatment of this Beatles classic. Take care my friend, Rick

Your very first reaction sums up what we in Australia have been able to appreciate since the 60s... "WOW". PLEASE SEEK OUT MORE JOHN FARNHAM.. even if only for your own enjoyment. "Please Don't Ask Me," (Both solo and with Olivia Newton-John), "Playing to Win" with Little River Band, "If Something Is Wrong with my Baby" with Jimmy Barnes... there are far too many to list. Also look for the greatest Australian diva, Tina Arena... she is one of the world's greatest female voices.

@@ogotainment Tina Arena was in the forefront of the Australian public since the age of 8 through the TV show Young Talent Time. I am so very biased... I have been in love with her since the beginning... it's not necessarily the best example of her absolutely AMAZING vocal skills but the day she released the video of her single "Heaven Help My Heart" in 1995, time stopped. That voice, that face, that talent... IMO, it doesn't get any better. She has an amazing rendition of ABBA's "The Winner Takes It All", but that doesn't even begin to touch the edge of her iceberg. The more you hear her, the more you will love her.

There are a lot for you to look at . Johns duets with Jimmy Barns ,When something is wrong with my baby, Olivia Newton John , Please dont tell me , Grenada with Anthony Warlow . I also like his Touch of Paradise . John can sing anything.
