The Ford Explorer is one of the longest-running SUVs on the road. It debuted more than 30 years ago and kick-started an American love affair with sport-utility vehicles that persists to this day.

That V8 engine in the quicker Mustangs and all Expeditions is their main repair problem. But they are kind of sloppy on their finishes which also causes repair issues!
I honestly feel like every car manufacturer has recalls and problems. Ive owned a few different names and they all sucked. Some more tolerable but for the most part they’re all made from the same shit.

I really hope this car doesn’t have any issues, I always wanted to get an ST as my 1st car but the amount of problems I’ve read about made me change my mind. Let’s just hope this is not another let down.

I own an ST. 48k miles and no issues to this point. I guess if you read it on the internet, it's gotta be true. Not to mention you only hear it when people want to grip about something and not to give positive information. I'd be curious to know what the percentage is vehicle's sold vs vehicle's with a few issues. My guess, it's no different than any car maker.
The Chinese market has always got better Ford models than the American market, how Ironic that they are bought more over there to an extent that they update them but not for U.S.
Pretty sad that Ford, a US company, would favor China over domestic market.

Efficient and effective video review. Solid. I like it. And I really like this vehicle too. I'd likely keep the 3rd row down most of the time, though nice to have when needed. I wonder, can you option a second row center console on this, or if not that, get a bench seat with a 40x20x40 split? Most of the competitors don't offer such, so I suspect this doesn't, but I think they should, for I'd love either. I would not get a 60x40 second row bench, but would absolutely consider a 40x20x40, like Audi offers in their suv's. With the middle 20 down, it's like having captain's chairs, but put it back up and it would better hide what's behind when I keep the 3rd row down, and would allow for a 3rd person in the second row. It has long surprised me how few offer 3 section 40x20x40 second rows, standard or as an option. And regarding that long screen on the front dash, it is unique, I do like it, but I'd prefer it be two screens, one for the middle and one for the front row passenger, that would be my preference. A big plus I notice, the seats in this are much more substantive, with thicker side bolstering than offered on the GMC Yukon Denali or AT4, I bet even more comfortable on long drives. Not sure how I feel about the front center console storage bin opening side to side in two parts rather than one part opening lengthwise. I think I prefer the lengthwise, but maybe not a big deal, would need to sit in the vehicle and try it. All in all I really like this vehicle.
I'm not sure about the console but I know it can be ordered with a bench seat.

My choice is always to buy a new or used Ford vehicle, but I noticed that it is a company that is still failing in building transmissions. I owned two Ford cars with a commitment to maintaining them, but the transmissions break down. Not only do I have many Ford owners in locations where transmissions break down. The transmission includes the Ford Explorer, Fusion, etc. It is shameful for a company that is more than a hundred years old and has not yet achieved perfection in the transmissions in all of its cars. Therefore, from today, I will not buy a new Ford at all, perhaps a used one, because I know that the transmission will break down in the near future. Thanks for the short video. I did not like the new generation’s front and cramped interior, as if you were inside the cabin of a Corolla or Camry
All modern car's seat and headrest are somewhat stiff. Stiff headrest never give proper comfirt. After Japaneese car revolution things got changed to stiff type. American/European cars from 70s and 80s have soft cushioned seats and perfect headrests. Where the head rest is placed just between head and shoulders and softly extends to head top, especially in back seat. Several old is gold things coming back, hope this too.

Wtf I've a North American 2022 ST loaded and don't have all those bells and whistles, the screen, front ddl covering the whole facade, all the improved things in the interior.. Even the wheels look better.
So my Ford Explorer ST 2021. For me it was too big, most of plastic interior, totally bad rear body shape design with plain rear tail lights. The front grill is very nice. Top of the design but didn’t look good in the rear side. Doors too heavy. Very good sound system. Exhaust beat not the best. Performance and speed very good. But, not sure in the long run how the Ford will do in the maintenance repair area.
I lost interest in the rear exterior design.

I hate the design of this facelift inside and out. I hope whatever facelift the US version gets is nowhere near this, otherwise I better find the down payment in my asscrack to get the pre-facelift Explorer ST I’ve been working towards for a while now.
