      Hi Tom,
      I'm at the verge of getting this model due to your experience and review, thanks for that. It seems that the 380.95 has replaced this model. The max pressure went down to 15 bars from 19. Would this make a difference. Also do you have any 'inside info' due to your experience in the coffee-world on if the espresso is as good on this model?
      Appreciate your time to put out these videos!

    • @TomsCoffeeCorner
      @TomsCoffeeCorner  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@heroprodygee The machine looks the same to me. Delonghi just uses a bunch of descriptors for the same model, but sometimes with different colors/trims. They should perform just the same. And neither produces coffee at 15 or 19 bar. That's just confusing. Cheers!

    I just got this machine in December 2023 and I am still in the process to get to know the features. This video is extremely informative, thank you. Quick update, I decided to go ahead and buy this machine and have just enjoyed what is probably my 10th coffee so far and it has only been here a few hours at the most lol, I have calmed down now but there are still so many options and bits I want and need to look at. Thanks for your videos and advise and all of the awesome information. Having never owned any machine at all like this before as far as coffee or drinks in general, I think going for this rather than jumping right in at the deeper end with a more expensive model, which I almost did, was the best choice for me, so far I love it but I have to learn the settings, whether I have the grind ok and the beans I am using, the water is ok but the coffee so far tastes beautiful, managed to set a latte already on my profile lol. Like a kid with a new toy
    Thanks again for everything

    Definitely a consideration for my wife. Both her and my in-laws, who spend a lot of time with us, love to drink coffee but hate to make it. My wife won't touch the espresso machine either. As of now she uses the nespresso machine and nano foamer but doesn't like it as much since I got an espresso machine. So, something that could get her 90% of the way there but be her go to when I am not home or busy would be great. While I have considered something like the Impress touch, I think that is more work than she wants and not enough manual control for me, lol. Besides, I already have my "toys". Flair, picopresso, bambino plus etc.
    Thank you for always considering everybody and not just making reviews on one type of machine! It is super helpful.

    i absolutely love this machine. have had it a year now. the app is a little silly imo unless your changing your coffee setting. you can turn the machine on and off with your app. and brew drinks with it. you cant leave a cup there to brew when you get up because your cup fills with the starter water before the drink is made. so you have to be in the room to brew your coffee anyway. there are instances you can use it. like if its on all day and doesnt need to come on before brewing.

    Great review, thanks a lot, it encouraged me to order the Delonghi Dinamica Plus.
    If it was just for me I would have gone with a sage oracle touch, but my wife wanted full automatic.
    I’m a bit annoyed though, as I wanted the profiles with the app to set the different drinks we like, & from my research I thought the plus meant it could connect to the app. I was wrong and the one I ordered doesn’t have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi so I can’t set up different users and I didn’t realise until I’d set it up and had made a load of coffees.
    Never mind, the coffees seem nice and it foams oat milk ok.

    Bought one, I have developed taste for Nordic style roasted single origin coffees because of a coffee shop near by, beans are dense, low-medium roast so harder to extract. Surprisingly this machine have me a great espresso after tweaking a a bit, increased coffee amount, lowered grind size, increased temperature, it is almost the same taste I get in the coffee shop. I was using an eletta cappuccino top before this, but grinder was not doing well after 5 years, and I never did receive flavorful coffee with the same beans. Dinamica is good.

    I bought this device as new in August 2020. Whit in 6 months, the milk frothing did not work properly anymore so I had to send it in for repair, 3 times before it was repaired properly. Since then it broke down approximately every 6 months. I try to do the repairs myself because it would cost me a lot to have someone to repair it for me. I’ve had a water leak repair, an electro valve repair, a blockage of the milling device due to foreign material in the coffee beans
    and at this moment I have again a problem with the milk frothing. I ordered a new the frothing nozzle and I am going to try to install it myself. Really not satisfied with this DeLonghi Dinamica Plus ECAM 370.95T. Luckily there are some repair videos on TH-cam to help to repair it myself.

    I found this review to be quite satisfactory.
    This superautomatic coffee and espresso machine is quite underrated. The Coffee Link app is also easy to use and the other reviews don't feature it enough. Bonus: there is also a coffee pot option if you have multiple guests over that just want a good pot of coffee.

    • @TomsCoffeeCorner
      @TomsCoffeeCorner  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think it's cool that it offers the coffee pot feature - I wonder how often that's used? Since I just make coffee for my wife and I, it's not a feature I have tested yet, but it could be good when you have a group of people over. Oh, and the app is fine, but slow like molasses. But it's the best way to do the initial setup, imho. Cheers!

    Great review! I'm not much of a "coffee snob" (sorry for using that term, but hopefully you know what I mean), but I do enjoy a nice cup of coffee... I've been using a Keurig for 10 years, and a Tassimo before that (I liked that MUCH better than the Keurig), but admittedly, those don't make good coffee. Now that I'm permanently working from home, I really need something better than the brown water the Keurig gives me. This sounds like it's exactly what I want... And, the thought of being able to make my own flat whites, is a big selling point for me. I got hooked on flat whites, on some business trips to Australia (that was the first time I'd ever heard of then). I also like the idea of buying whole beans and having freshly ground coffee every morning.

    I recently purchased a new coffee maker from DeLonghi. The machine arrived but it was looked like a repackaged machine based on the packaging (even though I had paid for a new machine). I called customer service about this but they told me that everything should be fine. I spent the next few hours installing the machine, but surprise surprise - it was indeed broken. Thus, I called DeLonghi for a replacement machine. However, this was when I learned of DeLonghi's business tactics - DeLonghi apparently does NOT offer the SAME replacement unit. They only offer as replacement an outdated model that is no longer being sold. So basically (1) They sent me a broken machine and (2) Refuse to give me a replacement machine of equal value. Not only that, the customer service when you call them is rather rude. Overall, a nightmarish experience

D's software is older than M and does not have the extra shot function as far as I know (bigger puck size may compensate for that though). The only advantage I would give to M plus is the new software and additional flexibility it gives to user. Having said all of this, I am going to order D Plus today.

    Delonghi gave us a brand new Dinamica to replace a failed refurbished Magnifica. The Magnifica failed in 2 months, and the Dinamica failed after approximately 2.5 years. Normally it would have had a three year warranty, but since it was a warranty replacement Delonghi determined it only had a 6 month warranty which likely leaves us paying out of pocket for a new transmission. We impeccably maintained both machines. The original Starbucks Magnifica we had was comparatively bulletproof! The newer machines build quality is very poor (both the Magnifica and Dinamica). We have multiple friends who’ve had similar reliability problems. For now, we’re using our daughter’s Nespresso Vertuo which is great except pods are ridiculously expensive, and the reliable old grinder and French press! Good luck with any newer Super Automatic!

    Hello Tom, I just bought this machine and will be picking it up today. Not sure if I missed it but do you have an opinion on the type of beans to use? My old super-auto just died after 10+ years so this Delonghi is my upgrade. My old machine didn't handle even slightly oily beans and would eventually get gummed up. Should I steer clear of any amount of oily beans with this machine? Watched your whole video which made me more confident when making the decision to buy so thank-you.

    Thanks for your review! Very interesting to see what inside this machine and how it difference from previous models, why exactly it can do better espresso, and work with bigger doses. I also tuned my old Magnifica S to make it grind finer, and tried different doses using pre-ground option. But it still a bit weak and watery. Seems like their machines are using very similar parts inside, like brewing chamber, same pump, similar (if not the same) grinder. So what exactly making this machine better in coffee making?.. Of course I'm not talking about the display, wi-fi, bluetooth and other things, this is obvious :) Hope you'll make a video about internal parts of the Dinamica Plus someday :)

    • @TomsCoffeeCorner
      @TomsCoffeeCorner  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well, I've tested ECAM models at work, and the Magnifica Evo from Delonghi. None of those can make doses as large as this one, which can do a 15 gram dose. Also, I have choked this Dinamica multiple times, by dialing too fine. So I think the grinder is also tuned better, to get a finer grind. I could never come close to choking any other SA that I've used! Cheers!

      Hi there! Well, it's really user dependent. I like to use the hottest setting, and set the 'Aroma' to 5 beans, and limit the water, to get a nice concentrated drink.
      My favorites:
      Doppio+: 5 bean aroma, hot temp, stop at 40ml
      Cappuccino Mix: 5 bean aroma, hot temp, 30 seconds milk froth
      Caffe Crema: 5 bean aroma, hot temp, 150ml water

    Great reviews, love your channel. In Canada, the Dinamica Plus is double the price of the Magnifica EVO. I've tried the EVO and I am really impressed with the shot, much better than the Philips 5400. I think the EVO has all the drink selections I need, but do you think the Dinamica Plus is worth the upgrade and additional cost?

    • @TomsCoffeeCorner
      @TomsCoffeeCorner  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The biggest advantage in my opinion of the Dinamica over the Magnifica are the larger pucks. But yes, the Magnifica Evo is already much better than the Philips, imho. So, if you're satisfied with the Evo, stick with it. For me, the Dinamica would be worth the upcharge, but it's also not much of a price gap between the two in the EU.

    • @CechMtl-gm9yq
      @CechMtl-gm9yq 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @TomsCoffeeCorner I think the puck size should be the same considering the brew unit in the machines are identical. If you are comparing the dopio option in the Dinamica, then that can be achieved by pressing the 2x button before the espresso on the EVO. I've just tried it and it seems to pull an 80ml shot. Actually, it was overextracted as it came out very slow due to the fresh lighter roast beans I had in the machine. Something the Philips was never capable of doing.

    I may of course be wrong, I don't know much about coffee!, but I feel like what he's calling a lungo at around 8:40 is actually a doppio and what he earlier referred to as a doppio may have been a lungo. I say this because I think of doppio as meaning double, i.e., it's just two shots of espresso so you also get two pucks, two grinds. But lungo means just a longer version of one single puck, so it's perhaps the same volume as the doppio would would taste less intense than an espresso whereas a doppio has the exact same intensity as an espresso,, simply double the volume. Correct me please if I"m wrong! Thank you and great, great video by the way. Very much enjoying it. Wait!!! He called it a "long" not "lungo", so maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions since long to me means lungo... 🙂

    • @TomsCoffeeCorner
      @TomsCoffeeCorner  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@squared8290 hi there! No, all of these drinks come out of one puck. A doppio uses a larger puck, and about 15 g. A Lungo just extracts more water out, going over the common 2:1 liquid to coffee grinds ratio. A lungo is more like 4:1, a bit more watered down.
      The Long, as Delonghi calls it, it’s just a full cup of coffee, that is extracted in spurts. I know, a lot of confusing terms! Cheers ☕️

    I just bought the new DeLonghi Eletta Explore (with cold brew and wifi) as a Christmas gift for my wife (and me 😀). After seeing your video, I’m really hoping it was the perfect choice for us. She likes sweet iced oat milk lattes, I like double espressos, americanos, and cappuccinos. I’m not the biggest iced coffee drinker, but the cold brew function intrigues me, maybe I’ll develop a taste for them. The big unresolved question I have is about the to go functions; will it use enough grounds to make a tasty larger sized beverage? It seems it would have to do a minimum of 2x grind and brew cycles for a 16oz milk based beverage or 3x for a coffee only beverage. If it’s trying to fill a 16oz or larger tumbler with just one 10-14g puck, then the to go function seems like just a gimmick. Well, Christmas is around the corner and I’ll find out soon enough…

Truth be told, I think I prefer the flavor profile of 100% arabica beans, but I started with this arabica/robusta blend because it is often recommended online for super automatics. Aside from the quality of espresso shots, another concern I often see about super automatics is the temperature, especially with milk drinks. With the temperature on high, I made a cappuccino that burned my mouth, I had to wait about 10 minutes to drink it comfortably. I'd go for the BTI. It's way easier to just wipe off the milk wand, and shoot some steam afterwards, than to have a milk carafe to clean out. Also, although this Dinamican does a damn good job at milk texture for a SA, it still cannot exactly compare to manual milk frothing when done right (although I don't think that is a fair comparison anyway).
