    I'd say you are supposed to fill the milk frother and store it in the fridge, so it holds milk for a couple of days (or more, depending on the use)

    • @motivatedtravel

      True, but I find that the milk does not hold up too well and gets yucky within 24-hours.

    I was undecided until i watched your review! Went and bought one from Harvey Norman today while on special 😊 I came here to tell you it definitely has the MY option which allows a free ppir for the coffee which you tell it when to stop then does the same for the milk. This option is in the setting where you can adjust the size and intensity. Hooe that makes sense! Great review, thankyou 😊

      I hope your enjoying it. And thanks for the tips on MY, it wasn't in the particular coffee settings I was using for my type of coffee, which is unfortunate. But seems to be available elsewhere. I'm glad it's there and embarassed that I missed it.

      Thank you. I'm literally working on a comparison video between those two today, which will go live in a week or so.
      The long and short - if you want cold brews and use travel mugs a lot, then Elatta. If they're not a thing for you, I prefer the compact design and dual hoppers of the Rivelia.

    I'm torn between the Rivelia and the Dinamica Plus (around $200-300 difference for me in Singapore) as a first machine - I've been Nespresso for 15 years. I do mainly milk based coffees like Caps and Lattes and my son does hot chocolates. As a family we do 3-4 cups of coffees a day. What do you think?

      I haven't used the Dinamnica Plus myself, so can't talk to it too much. Can confirm that the Rivelia is a good option if you like milk-based coffees. The dual hoppers gives you a bit of flexibility, too.

      No you can't adjust the milk (it's about 60-degrees) but I believe you can adjust the water temp. I haven't got it setup any more, so can't double check for you. BUt that's what I recall.

    I’ve had two fully auto Delonghi Machines - the Eletta Explore and the Primadonna Soul. Both have the “My” function which allows you to customise the beverage quantities exactly how you like (more/less milk & water). No clue why this model being newer wouldn’t have that functionality.
    Also noticed the extra shot function which is good, that’s a new function.

    • @motivatedtravel
      @motivatedtravel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's interesting. Just relooked through the UI, and definitely cannot see that feature.
      I do wonder how many "features" De'Longhi holds back on given it has so many entries in the space. It needs to - perhaps artificially - create points of differentiation. That could just be my inner cynic.

    You can set up your user profiles to fill your fav cup right up if you want and set up all different coffees for all different cups.
    Also with the milk cannister the idea is you can just leave it in the fridge and use when making coffee so the measurements on the cannister probably not really that important.

    • @motivatedtravel
      @motivatedtravel  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We ended up wasting a bit of milk doing it that way, but definitely got more used to the larger canister and the My setting. Probably couldn't go back now!

    • @42degrees86
      @42degrees86 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@motivatedtravel yeah seems there is a lot of customisation on offer. We use oat milk which lasts for ages so I reckon that the canister would just become our coffee 'carton' of milk in the fridge.

      I think you should be able to achieve this goal. I usually put double shot of coffee in there, and then you've got a decent amount of milk control.
