My sister loved this game with all their heart, and I remember us spending so much time together playing it through our childhood. They passed away a month ago. When I think about them, their love for this game often comes to mind. I don't think that'll ever change.

@@Ice-AJ The opening music, especially with Dart/ Rose under the night sky in Ulara was setup so well.
- You had some time to absorb/ process the revelation as your party travels through the Death Frontier
- Winglys are NOT extinct, you were surprised but not surpised when you travel to Ulara.
- The Black Monster arc was somewhat resolved.
Im turning 30 in a month! Cant believe all this time has gone by! The man that i have become compared to the little boy that i was. This game will always be a special part of me always! Now to live the remainder of my life and prepare myself to meet my creator and hopefully find love in paradise find her my beloved , i did not find her here on this earth .

Still to this day one of the best games ever made and it sorely deserves a remake.
Nah just leave it be, we are all grown ups now it wint be the same, a major part if what made the beautiful was due to us being kids when we played this magnificent journey.
@@pakistanzucks Imo that's why it deserves to be remade. Of course it won't be exactly the same for us, but there are several generations of kids who probably haven't even heard of this game. Which is a shame, it's a deep and thought provoking journey. Also, the difference in understanding and experience of the story you had as a kid vs as an adult will most likely be worth a revisit!
that's why i just replay the original. the fact you can play it on ps4/5 now is a big win all things considered. If they did remake it id hope theyd keep the addition system and turn based combat. Too many games are ruined trying to be generic button mashing action games. @@praticle
NO, LOD was created when people had brains, a remake will make it a piece of trash, like the RE remakes and many others. Let it be.

A game soundtrack so iconic (at least in my mind) that I can name a place where every track here plays.
I remember the day when i saved up enough money to buy this game. My parents wouldn't drive me across town to Wal-Mart, so i walked 2 hours there and back because i HAD to have it that day!

I can remember as it was yesterday. I just beat ff7 100% und a friend of mine gave me LOD and said, its like final fantasy, i think you will like it. And when the opening song "do you still belive" touched my young and curious ears i already was in for it. I just felt, that thus is going to be an experience i will remember my whole life. Turned out i loved LOD even more than FF7. A big part of that is the soundtrack and the atmosphere. I dont know why man, but this soundtrack is pure magic and it still manages to open this tiny door in my soul that leads to my childhood dreams and fantasys. Absolutely love it to death.
Some of these songs make me emotional to this day... Insane how deeply music can affect you when you're young.

It's what got me into RPG's. A great game with challenging executions for combat with a great payoff. The story is deep and rich, and their ost is phenomenal. It's actually available to play on PS3 and PSP through the playstation store.

I remember coming across this game at Walmart while walking around with my brothers. We played it a bit on the trial PS at Walmart. I liked it so much. Later on, my brother bought it and I was able to enjoy too. I still remember like it was just yesterday
LOD has the best OST of all time. Over silent Hill, over FF7. Thank you for making this list.
FF8 tho…that soundtrack rocked just as much as this one does, but in the opposite end of the spectrum.
FF8 has action-oriented tracks.
LoD has peaceful music overall.

Indels/Twin Castle. One of my all time favorite video game soundtracks. I sometimes use that music form videos I make.
To me, this is one of the most underrated RPG masterpieces. Sure, the graphics and mechanics were a little iffy, even for the time, but the story, characters, pacing, and designs are still unparalleled in many ways. When I first played this in 2000, it felt so much like the Final Fantasy games that I really loved (especially VII-IX). I hope it gets a solid remaster or remake!

actually playing this game on pc right now. Through epsxe. I missed this game. For anyone reading this if you want to get this game on pc. Download and install epsxe. Its a playstation 1 emulator. then you have to rip your ps1 bios off your playstation so you can put it on your pc. Epsxe wont work without a ps1 bios. ONce you have done that. YOU need to rip your ps1 games just like you would a dvd to your computer. Make sure the output file is an iso. The iso is what epsxe plays. Doing this you can play ps1 games on your pc.
this is a 100 percent legal way. The only legal way. this requires you owning a ps1, and the game(whatever ps1 game you are wanting to play on pc)
for proper instructions on how to do this. There are plunty of videos and guides on the internet.
Dont be a pirate. Just downloading the ps1 bios and game isos off the internet is illegal. Do it the legitimate legal way. If you dont own a ps1 and dont own a copy of whatever ps1 game you want to play on pc. Purchase them. Or purchase any that are available on playstation network.
The legend of dragoon is available on ps3 network i believe.
this is a prime example of why i hate the soundtracks in remakes. They just totally miss the vibe these old bangers had. Orchestras are great, as is modern music editing technology etc but sometimes the limitations in which youre working actually elevate the art in the end. This is the case with many snes and classic playstation sound tracks IMO
