This game changed my life. I was 15 y/o and for me, video games meant mario and kirby. When I first played RE I felt something new and fell in love with it. I have beaten the game more times than I can count. Everytime it takes me back to my early teenage years. It’s like reading a book your mom used to read to you, like smelling the perfume of a loved one you no longer see. Listening to this beautiful music really puts me in a more easy and relaxed mood. Your personal friends have been brutally savaged in front of your eyes and now you have the quiet moment to just breathe and process everything that has happened. Distant moans from the zombies are now closer. The floor boards groan under their feet. The questions linger like the foul odor of the dead, "Will I... Will I make it? Will I survive this?" I feel this from every RE save room
Here's one of my favorite moment from Re:REBIRTH. When you play as Chris, and leave Rebecca to practice the piano, I love how the piano resonates along the halls near the room. Especially when you're struggling against that one annoying crimson head outside that specific room, the sheer contrast of calming music playing while fighting for your life is such a memorable moment. So whenever I see the box art of Jill struggling against the zombie, my mind automatically thinks of that moment.
Well, this takes me back to being a scared 11 year old, sat in my room playing this, the biggest jump scare of my life of the dogs jumping through the window. Great work on this, great memories.

Although we ignore the spiritual world, it's a part of us.

My parents bought me a PS2 for Christmas back then and Dead Aim was the game coming with it. Me and my sister’s boyfriend finished the game in s week playing it every single night, we were raving about it as we had been playing PSOne just one week before and the change was massive. RE Dead Aim will always have a special place in my heart.

A quiet spot to just decompress and sit in silence to process what they have just experienced. Allow the characters to wear the fear on them for a moment. Allow them all to process it differently.

I love this 2000s horror aesthetic. It terrifies me and relaxes me more than the modern games with "Realistic graphics". Realistic graphics never suited Resident Evil or Devil May Cry. It should look more like Final Fantasy VII Remake, than average Realistic Game. For me art should be treated like that.

Easy puzzles, easy gameplay, easy scares on the soul. RE4 is where all that went down hill.... action primary and survival last. Big set pieces and no true horror. No confirmation.... No true feelings of being safe, or down to earth. Not because of goofyness, but because humans have shown what a monster really is....thats Resident Evil. I also feel im the only one who noticed how, well convoluted the plot was (RE4). And made almost no real sense. Ironically just like a action film........RE4 was a incredible game. Truly revolutionary. Inspirational to so many after, but ..... failure to capture Resident Evil. It wasn't a resident evil game. It was a action game that shared the title. Re4-5 were just action with relatively no survival and uncomfortable grimey gross strange feeling world...... Resident Evil was about "The fear of unknown, fear of not death, but rather something worse" Resident Evil 4-5 were just"hey, conserve enough grenades and you'll blow the shit out of whatever dares to walk your path...." Seriously though, i saved and had so much ammo through both 4-5 that id regularly shoot walls and toss grenades at the sky. At least we got RE7................
