SERIOUSLY. My first one was a white haired Breton named "Geralt", of course. Only because I wanted to play the Witcher 2, but didn't have a 360, nor a PC. Then, upon doing the college of winterhold quest, like.... 36 hours in, my PS3 bricked on me when I jumped down from a ledge to the ground. My mans Geralt never landed. RIP.
Mine was an Orc . I had Daedric armor but no enchantments cause they didn’t appeal to me at the time . I was always getting SMOKED by master mages . Didn’t understand why they did so much damage until I truly learned and mastered the game . I like playing as elves now. Usually high elf
i remember sneaking to the living room at 11 years old, turning on the ps3 and playing this game for the first time. my dad told me not to; i was too young for it, he said. I didn't realize the volume was on, and when the title screen came up, I woke my father up. He walks in and I'm scared ill get grounded, but instead, he laughs quietly and sits with me, lowers the volume, and teaches me how to do the first mission. 12 years later, it's still one of my fondest memories. We still play together !!!
Man, I remember when this game came out. I robbed a bunch of houses, got married, got arrested and had to break out of prison. I also played a lot of Skyrim, as well
I always abused fast travel when I was younger but now I’ve realised that taking time travelling the roads and experiencing all the sights, sounds, ambience and encounters on the journey is really what makes the game shine.
correct bro, survival mode force you to explorer area. even some area had transportation to go, but some area do not have and you are force to travel with your horse.
I also enjoyed this as a werewolf. Sprinting constantly. Enjoying being fast and strong. I really got to enjoy exploring the nature of Skyrim like the first time
It takes absolute courage and strengths to overcome such evil nature, i think that one is better because if you were born good, it doesn't make you good believe it or not, a person who knows their capable of evil actions and because they choose to be good! But a good person is someone who knows they can be evil, but still choose to be good!
@@chibicthulhu4382 Haha, for the first couple of seconds yeah. The adventure would be exhilarating but I mean those marriage choices are pretty limited😂
With over 600 hours played, i love coming back, with or without mods. There is so many good memories in one game, i love it, and every run i always find a little detail i missed before, or finished something i once did not bother with.
@@Arokzz mod and creation club made this game still on many people hearth haha. especially new area and quality of life mod. I kind of hate combat mod though, it make skyrim felt no longer same game.
yes game reincarnation, if only it exist. (Delete SAVE + Startover) Forgetting from mind memories (2 Bottle of Coca-Cola + A Wall + Hitting Head on The Wall) #SatisfactionGuaranteed
I think one of the best feelings is when you spend hour fighting in some nordic or dwemer ruins where you have to constantly be on the lookout for danger, but then you exit that place and it's finally a moment of peace: there's no danger, no horrible death sounds, just a clear starry night, the sound of crickets and an amazing soothing soundtrack.
One of the best things in Skyrim is to just walk the roads at night. Even if you get attacked in random encounters, or get a greeting from a stranger, it's just so nice walk. I guess nighttime in games feels the same way it does in real life if you're free by then. You're alone and enjoying yourself in solitude, events left in the day will shine though eventually, but they can wait, because the night is yours to conquer.
especially if you are on survival mode or running frostfall mod. night + rain or winter is combination of death. 🤣also swimming on low temperature area is bad joke.
Cool thing, that we live so far away from eachorher, so many different person with different age, gender, culture, language, we've never met, never will, and still, at this point we all feel the same. :)
This game was, and still is, an escape for me. It's nice just being able to wander the roads and take in the sights. Thanks, Skyrim, for being part of my life.
I'm forty years old and have just started playing this. I'm going through the heartbreak of loss and have discovered a place of refuge for the soul in this world of Skyrim.
Skyrim will fr call to all of us bro, find that Xbox, load up Skyrim and jump into your latest save and just admire the time you’ve spent just relaxing and exploring with your character it’s a great feeling remember when I came back to Skyrim it was just like it was the last time I played it it will always be great
I love how my parents would always tell me that I was wasting my time playing skyrim. That I wasn't making good memories, and will regret not doing something else when I'll get older. 11 years later and Boy were they wrong. Just hearing this game music brings a sense of peace and nostalgic joy that I've pretty much never experience before. I love video games. I love skyrim.
I always found it funny when people said video games were a waste of time, that they rot your brain and use up the limited hours of your life for meaningless escapism. My goal in life is simply to experience, and some of my most memorable moments come from gaming
Everything is meaningless, surprisingly few people are going to remember you, and we all end up dead anyway. Our parents (and us, to a certain extent) have a weird obsession with being remembered, but that's just not fun. If life is to be enjoyed, then why do I have to do something unenjoyable in my free time? The only memories that matter are the ones I take to my grave, so I might as well remember a lot of things I like.
@@JL32506 Ngl the ending of that comment got a little pessimistic but ignore my comment rn plz bc I'm fried AF just listening to Skyrim music and you have a great taste in games brother, gn
the last time I touched my skyrim save, I left my Nord Knight in lakeview manor, with his children and wife. He had slain Alduin, subdued the Blades, the Stormcloaks, and the vampires of the Volkihar clan, and conquered Miraak: the first Dragonborn, as well as Karstaag and the Ebony Warrior. He now lives a comfortable existence, being quite possibly the most powerful being in Tamriel, who simply wants to live a quiet life amongst his loved ones now. but, one day, I know i'm going to boot it back up, for one last adventure. And that alone gets me excited. edit: thanks for all the mod recs, i have actually played through quite a few, faves being Forgotten City, Falskaar, Vigilant, and Bruma. looks like retirement's on hiatus for a while lmao.
Imagine if you finally find it 70 years from now in the attic of your house. You dust it off and turn it on and load up your save and your character is exactly where you left him/her... An old man/women playing the game of their childhood.
@@robinrandal8876 It's great that we live in a time where that's possible. And who's to say that it's not real? If my mind can convince me that the world of Skyrim is real, then it's real. An author named Gabriel García Márquez once said "Life isn't what you lived, but how you remember it to tell others about it". He wasn't talking about videogames of course, but it can easily apply.
I installed Realistic Lighting Mod for Skyrim. Needless to say, if you don't have Magelight or a Torch you can't see shit... especially in Dungeons/Crypts/Caves.
Getting lost in a Dwarven ruin for literal fucking hours, bonding with your companion, only to have him say this line when you finally make it to a shop and take some stuff you wanted to sell later. My fucking heart.
@@malcador I had a glitch where i couldnt finish the quest where you team up with mercer frey so I just left the cave and he followed me ever since. He was such a strong and good companion, we slayed so many tough opponents together. Then one day I went to finish our quest only to be betrayed by him. My fucking heart as well.
Skyrim truly is a timeless game. It's one of those games where you won't play it for months maybe even a year or so, but when you load it up, you're drawn right back to it. Like you never left. Masterpiece.
I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE! So, I had stopped playing skyrim because i had gotten board when playing One year later in the lockdown I said "Hay i'm going to re-visit skyrim." and here i am, Playing it every chance i get.
Vinny Bologna That’s true One time I hadn’t played Skyrim for almost a year, then I saw it, the Daedric armour, I grounded for it and eventually got the whole set then went to finish the main story, then a few months later my brother spilled MTN on my disk and it don’t work anymore
I play Skyrim with my seven years old son on a regular basis now. And he absolutely loves it. he absolutely wanted to play as a wizard Argonian and his favourite activity is to swim in the ocean or in the rivers of Skyrim. Everytime he sees a waterpoint he deviates from his quest and just enjoys the moment. That's so cute. The game is so immersive. And when we finish a quest and i tell him "ok boy that's enough play for the day", he absolutely wants to go to an INN, take a meal and then sleep for 7-8 hours. The rest of the warrior ! I guess. 😃This is so cool. I 'm so happy to share this with him. I never imagined that this would happen when this game launched in 2011.🤩
There’s just something that draws us back. Even after several playthroughs and hundreds (maybe thousands) of hours, there’s still always something to find.
Part of me is sad that I never experienced Skyrim during the initial craze, but I'm grateful to be experiencing this masterpiece for the first time now.
Don't be sad. The game, the atmosphere, the ambience and the music are good even now. There are people starting Oblivion just now, and it's a 2006 game. Oblivion and Skyrim are my second world!
I envy you, I wish I could play it again and experience it for the first time. One main tip, take your time and don’t rush or try and fast travel too much. Enjoy the journey
only thing your missing out on is the nostalgia which is what makes the game so special to me and forever a home, but everyone has there game. Hope its incredible for you
The beautiful scenery and music encapsulates you inside of towering, snow-capped mountains, giving you the feeling of being locked off from the rest of the world deep inside the mountains of another world.
@@wyattgeorge9696 I think it’s mostly just Jeremy’s absolute masterpieces. When I see just gameplay of Skyrim I don’t get this cozy feeling, but when I hear the music, I do.
Skyrim has it's 10th anniversary this year. I hope Bethesda has something very special planned this year, especially with Microsoft owning Bethesda. This game is legendary at this point. I've met plenty of people who have never played Final Fantasy, Deus Ex or Metal Gear Solid, but I've never met anyone that didn't play Skyrim.
Skyrim is a game that you'll never get bored of playing, at times I'll just pop it in and just enjoy walking around listening to the beautiful music, killing bandits, dragons and draugr, it's a timeless game that'll hold a special place in everyone's hearts
Unfortunately I wish this was the case for me. Maybe I'll come back to it in the future but for the last few years I haven't been able to play it anymore. Never excites me anymore. Still love the OST though, and I doubt that will change.
Too bad dementia doesn't work that way. You'd be unable to play the games if you get to a point where you've forgotten them. What you want is amnesia. You can still learn to play but you won't remember your past playthroughs 👍
I remember like it was yesterday ... I was only 10 years old when a friend of mine from swimming classes recommended this game to me. Without knowing much about it, I asked my mom for it in my birthday and received a gift that totally changed the course of my life. I started playing Skyrim and little by little I became enchanted by the game, the beautiful snowy landscapes and the welcoming atmosphere made me love the same. I remembered every corner of the map, knew the npcs by name, loved all the music on the soundtrack and there was always a new adventure to explore, from the stone valleys of Markarth to the remote island of Solstheim, I fell in love with it all. I could build a house, get married, have children, learn more about that mysterious world and become the great hero that everyone needed, it was like a dream coming true. I remember spending several mornings at school sad and without mood because of constant bullying, but always being able to come home and having a moment of fantasy, a home in that game ... Over time, I became interested in lore, and consequently, I became interested in the medieval period. I started to read several books about the medieval period and I became interested in general history, and therefore, today I study to become a diplomat and be able to not only study history, but make history. And it wasn't just this, loving the music of the game, I started to become interested in classical music, listening to an old CD of Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" and falling in love with classical music, which made me change as a person. Skyrim changed me, I can no longer go back to the game and play normally because I have spent an eternity in that fantasy world and today I no longer have time for it, but I will never forget the times in which I became a werewolf, fought dragons, helped an ancient vampire to prevent the sun from being destroyed, raised a family and several other adventures that I witnessed in this masterpiece. Thank you very much, Skyrim.
Wait, your only 18, and already studying to be a diplomat? Skyrim was released november 11, 2011, so I guess you could be 19, but since the game was recommended to you, some time since its release must have passed.
Crying right now, my stepbrother that I lost when I was 7 introduced me to this game and a lot more. I wish he was still here, its crazy to think that a video game can mean so much to me and other people. Thank you guys so much for your kind words, they mean a lot.
I have terrible depression and anxiety, have most of my life. Skyrim was my escape, and now the music is the only thing that can put me to sleep. I’ve got a better control of my life now, but this takes me back. It’s nice having this to turn to when I’ve been up far too many hours. If you ever need someone to talk to, respond. I may not be able to give advice, but I will listen.
Man, Secunda brings back a lot of memories, of traveling through Skyrim at night and just admiring the beauty of the auroras, stars, and planets. What a game. I'll never forget my first character I completed the game with: Bodvar Bear-Heart. A Nord warrior with long blonde hair and a beard, tribal warpaint on his scarred face, heavy armored and weilding a greatsword. I'll never forget all the journeys across Skyrim, finally slaying Alduin, and then later on Harkon and Miraak, saving the land countless times. Then, finally, hanging up the dragonbone armor and sword, settling down in Solitude with Aela and two adopted children, Lucia and Sophie. Corny as it may sound, Skyrim was a big part of my life at one point when I was fresh out of high school and still finding myself. I still come back to it, even today.
Seeing stuff like this warms my heart, reminds me of the nostalgic memories I still hold dear from this game. These experiences are part of what made us into who we are today.
I have quite possibly spent 10,000+ hours on this game. I was a poor kid, and we couldnt afford the dlcs back then. I just played the base game, and was satisfied for literal years. On the xbox 360, my first character was a nord who was named "Prisoner" because I pressed the enter button on accident. Back then I never would have guessed that I would eventually know literally everything there is to know about this game. I would completely max out dozens of characters, never getting bored. I would find every location and do every quest, hundreds of times over. I would buy every house, get every daedric artifact, and become thane of every hold, and I would always love every second. When the ps4 came out, i bought dragonborn and dawnguard, and another thousand hours went into mastering everything I could do in that content. It was never a chore, spending hours sneaking around the bear and attacking ralof or hadvar in the helgen cave to max my sneak and one handed before ever leaving helgen. Then leaving helgen and speedrunning through embershard and anises cabin to get the smithing book and potion of invis. It was just fun. One shotting the ebony warrior on legendary is an indescribable sense of accomplishment. No game has ever provided such profound memories and fun as Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and I still play to this day. I have a very deep emotional connection to this game, and it has certainly helped make me into the person I am today. Thanks Bethesda.
As a poor kid i played this everyday for a long time on my old xbox 360 that made the whole room hot and had trouble reading disk i used a wired controller since batterys where a luxury and my tv sat on the floor but when i played i can forget my daily troubles and drift away in this game i didnt have the internet so i couldnt look stuff up on a wiki i played this game so much i unlocked every achievement and even tho im wealthier now i still play to this day because of the modding community
This Skyrim specifically, was way ahead of its time. With graphics, and even music, Combat and crafting was a little glitchy if you know how to break it. Even the world map, but damn did the night sky and the theme it different at 3am on a Friday or at night after school.
Honestly this comment comforts me. It was always nice in-game too, because it made you feel like a journeyman traveling along and finally having a nice spot to stop, relax, and sort through and sell goods.

Mid December 2011, Christmas is on its way. Outside, the enlightened decorations reflect on the falling snow, and a soft wind blows in the trees. You just reached lvl 25, and leave Whiterun to improve your bow skills. Milky way appears through the screen, and ‘Secunda’ hit your ears. Life is good. I wish I could erase my memory to discover Skyrim again.
@Aaronjoined I mean no one is going to forget skyrims success. I think in 100 or 200 years you are really able to combine vr with real movement and then you are really walking into tamriel... And maybe in 300-400 years you can feel everything. The climate, the wounds, the days, the years, the potions, the poisons... Who knows? But we are unfortunately at the start
Great music for kid's bedtime, I have used this soundtrack since she was born. She will be 9 pretty soon and I promise she will always remember me by this when she grows up 💗
I miss 2011 the rivers, the snow-capped mountains and the northern lights. The first experience with Skyrim is something you will never forget. It was far beyond amazing.
My first experience was, that the sleeping bear mum at the beginning is not as murderous as the wagon standing in front of her. It was my first death in my first game. ❤😂
It was amazing exploring the game for the very first time. I'd been playing plenty of games before I got a copy of it, but none of them were remotely as beautiful as Skyrim was. And thanks to how large the map is, I keep finding new things to experience every day. The game still looks breathtaking, and I often find myself just looking at the night sky for a moment instead of pressing onward.
@@vincentfamorcan7286 yup, I may get bored of the game, but within 6 months I'll always come back. this game means so much to me as it was my entire childhood. I have so many fun filled memories of this enchanting game
i remmeber those times in 2012-2013, when i first played skyrim it was the first time i played 4 days straight to it, without taking a shower or even sleeping, it literally felt like another home
9:53 p.m. *starts up Skyrim* 9:57 p.m. *turns night in Skyrim, insects chirp and lovely music plays* 11:23 p.m. *wake up after passing out on couch with controller still in hand, camera spinning around character who's now crouching staring at a wall*
And I always kept making fun of her and bullying her and then she'd literally k1ll a person on one swing, even doing that special animation for it and I'd be like 😀 "oh... Repressed anger, I see-"
I played this game when it first came out when I was 15. I'm 27 now, and this is a game i've returned to countless times again, always enjoy playing, and never get tired of. This game is a masterpiece, and this music is just amazing. I'm using it now to put my 4mo old daughter to sleep, because it's just so calming and beautiful. I hope one day, she will enjoy this game as much as I did, on the same gaming PC I played it on.
28, same thing. When it came out my parents had just gone out for vacation and I had the whole place for myself, I moved the couch in front of the big screen TV, plugged my computer in and played there for a week. It was magical, I still remember the first time I visited Rorikstead and Alduin wakes up the dragon in the mound nearby. That first Falmer dungeon and finding Blackreach. Priceless.
I've posted this elsewhere but I'll never not post this; It was Christmas morning 2011, I was 16 at this point and of all the gifts I was hoping for a games console and Skyrim, had literally been spam watching the trailer for months on end, I had recited every word said... so there I was opening all my generic gifts (which I was entirely grateful for) and still no joy, so albeit a little disappointed my mum disappeared into the next room and I just assumed she was going to prep the Christmas dinner, my mum then returns two minutes later and hands me a game shaped and perfectly wrapped case, but as someone who had previously owned an xbox 360 it was a little small so I just thought it might have been a bluray DVD or something. So there I was ripping it off and I noticed the PS3 logo on the top left, I literally felt my heart jump as I ripped more of the wrapping off and exposed the black paper on the case, instantly I knew what it was but then I thought "hang on a minute, I don't even have a PlayStation 3" then I proceed to look up to see my mum put down a big wrapped box in front of me, I knew what it was and she didn't have to say a single word to me, I've never set anything up so fast in my life. I loaded up, saw the "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" intro and just felt nothing but pure joy, I played it the whole of Christmas day, only stopping to eat dinner then resuming my marathon, exploring anything and everything, talking to anyone and everyone, learning my first thu'um, killing my first Wolf. Even today, 7 years later I find myself falling asleep to this soundtrack, work, bills, expenses can't stop my unconditional love for something that essentially changed my life. You know what they say about Skyrim's soundtrack, you can't touch its music, but its music can touch you. Thank you to anyone who read the whole thing but it's just a fraction of the effort I'd like to express toward Todd Howard and Bethesda for making probably THE greatest RPG game of all Time, until ES6 comes out that is.
I rarely feel the need to reply to others, but just reading it throws me into a warm holiday mood and nostalgia, thank you for sharing this slice of your life :) I also had an unexplainable time with this game. We are very fortunate I have to say. And soon there's Christmas again, I hope you'll have a great time again, possibly with Skyrim, I definitely will and I'm sure your story will come to mind while I roam the plains at day and night.
Beautiful story. I always love hearing "that game" stories. The one that changed it all. The one that became more than just a game, or helped you through a bad time. This particular game didn't have that profound an impact on me, but I was the ripe old age of 33 the first time I picked it up. But I can absolutely relate. "That game" for me was Final Fantasy II (IV US but we didn't know it back then), which I got in the early 90s. I was maybe 14. Lots of the same emotions back then for me, thanks to what was a groundbreaking game in its day (with an equally beautiful score). I do love Skyrim. I got the XB1 remaster almost two years ago now and play the hell out of it. The music is amazing and the world is fantastic. Love it.
This was my Christmas present when the game came out, and I remember being on Christmas break playing this all night. Fell asleep a few times and woke up with this music complimented by a wonderful view. Those were the days
remember when we all first started and we collected every weapon we could find and then just going out into the wild and exploring all sorts of hidden things man nothing really compares to skyrim.
Yeah. You gotta play without fast traveling. Buy a horse and make your way around properly. Stay in an Inn if you need to sleep, don't just wait. Made the game 3x better when I started doing things like that
That dude startles me every time. Only once when I walked into Whiterun, he was kind of just standing in the middle of the corner near Warmaiden's, looking like he actually WAS looking for me, and as I approached, he then noticed me and engaged ...it actually felt like the AI went off program for a minute. One of many absolutely surreal Todd Howard "glitches."
I'm 57 and I still come back to this magical world at least once a week. I always loved the night scenes and sunsets. I never considered having Cicero as a companion until last year. He's been quite fun. "Must get mother some flowers, pretty, pretty flowers."
12:15 Kyne's Peace I remember when I entered Frostflow Lighthouse for the first time in Skyrim. I thought it was going to be another ordinary dungeon with bandit marauders and their chief, like many times before. After entering the building, however, the tragic story of a family started to unfold in front of my eyes. As I was descending into the icy abyss below, it became clear that I stepped onto Falmer territory. From one chamber to the next, I obliterated every incoming shadowmaster and warmonger along with their Chaurus into Oblivion, while learning the gruesome fate of the man named Habd and his family. When I emerged from this cold and dark hell, this piece of music started playing, and one of the first things that caught my eye was the night sky of Nirn, decorated by the aurora and the myriad of stars. I stayed for a while, contemplating the tragedy of Habd and his family, and even the fate of the Falmer, too. Before leaving, I placed the remains of Habd in the flames of the lighthouse tower, so he could always look to the sea and guide arriving ships to the shore, just as he wished in his final letter. For so many players, such stories combined with the music were what made this game such a unique experience. Edit: Thank you so much for the likes, everyone.
Hands down the best 100% side dungeon (no quests involved before you get there as far as I know). It was kinda in the middle of nowhere too which made it better.
No way, i was playing skyrim last night as a mage focus build for the 1st time and i stumble upon the same lighthouse that you mention, what a tragedy to that family after relocating to that lighthouse
Fun fact: The music in video games is specifically designed to motivate while keeping focus. It balances the mood and the tone, keeps up a good rhythm, but never distracts you from the objectives.
That isn't always true, and the degree of focus on maintaining those aspects varies from project from project. It can be very distracting, but also very immersive - it depends on the player and the situation.
Still remember like it was yesterday: Imagine a warm summer evening, the window was open and a light breeze crawled through my room. I didn’t worry about school, holidays just began. I spent the whole night exploring cave after cave, climbed the highest mountains and fought off giants and trolls. Then i found out i just played the „intro“, i just found out i am the dragonborn. Suddenly it hit me like a truck. I just couldnt stop playing, a feeling that i Never felt again until this day came over me. The urge to explore, i forgot about time and completely indulged into it. The night was over and the sun slowly started to rise. And i knew, this will be an epic journey. Thank you for this video. It brought up memories i completely forgot about even existing. Life became so hectic, but i guess this comes with growing up, its an unevitable change that everybody needs to get through. But these, damn these were simple times, and most definitely one of the best phases of my entire childhood. Whoever you are, wherever you are reading this, i hope you had the privilege to experience the same feelings i did and always will do. Have a great day. Cheers from Germany.
I’m not crying, you’re crying. This game was there for me through so much, bullying in school, to the deaths of family members, abuse and assault, i wrote my first book and published it to Skyrim’s ambiance. I wrote my university dissertation to it and the first song I listened to after my graduation was the Dragonborn comes. Elder scrolls became a way of life, an escape from the bad and I remember less on the bad moments, the really horrifying moments in life and remember more of Jarls, joining the dark brotherhood, riding shadowmare and sitting by a fire in whiteruns travel listening to endless bard songs and who can forget Lydia... and her annoyingly standing in your way...all...the... time. Skyrim is a whole other life. If I die and I wake up on my way ton helgen... well... I’d be so damn ready.
Hey there my friend. Sorry to hear about your struggles. I'm glad this game was able to help you through it. It did for me, too. Just know that you're never alone and you can do anything you put your mind to. Take care.
The nostalgia is so rich. A simpler time. Everyday I wish I could go back, exploring those caves for the first time, everyone sharing their experiences at school the next morning, who discovered what in what cave, seeing who was closer to that ebony armour, who was levelling up like a true dragonborn. I went through some tough things as a kid, still do to this day, but I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for games like Skyrim, Fallout and Halo. Beautiful.
And just think about it. As amazing and relieving as video games are (a lot of them anyway), there are still some people that dislike them and are against them. My mother still tells me to stop playing them, and that I'm addicted - but she doesn't understand the feelings it brings to play a game I love. The music of Undertale made me cry each time I played through it, and I love doing this and going back to listen to the soundtracks of my favorite games. I completely relate, Josh.
I'm playing it like 6-7 years after its release. And it became like a shelter to escape my own bleak and grim world. I feel comfortable there. I ain't even playing to loot, craft and slash enemies three times bigger than me. I play it because I feel safe and familiar with that beautiful artificial world, exploring and reading books here and there. Maybe I'm not supposed to escape my own responsibilities and reality at the age of 24, especially after I stopped playing video games since high school, but whatever. I feel like it's the best therapy right now.
Can we all have a moment of silence for our first Skyrim characters..

I always abused fast travel when I was younger but now I’ve realised that taking time travelling the roads and experiencing all the sights, sounds, ambience and encounters on the journey is really what makes the game shine.
Glad you corrected your error

to be born good then to have been transformed in evil and overcome it through great effort.
It takes absolute courage and strengths to overcome such evil nature, i think that one is better because if you were born good, it doesn't make you good believe it or not, a person who knows their capable of evil actions and because they choose to be good!
But a good person is someone who knows they can be evil, but still choose to be good!

@Aaronjoined I mean no one is going to forget skyrims success. I think in 100 or 200 years you are really able to combine vr with real movement and then you are really walking into tamriel... i remember my first experience playing skyrim and i spend hours just looking at the night sky. its beautiful.
I wish i could forget everything, just to experience it all again for the first time.

Same exact thing here. 15 and 27
28, same thing. Priceless.
Same here! I'm 27, and I used to play this on my ps3. Man, the memories.
I've posted this elsewhere but I'll never not post this;
It was Christmas morning 2011, I was 16 at this point and of all the gifts I was hoping for a games console and Skyrim, had literally been spam watching the trailer for months on end, I had recited every word said... so there I was opening all my generic gifts (which I was entirely grateful for) and still no joy, so albeit a little disappointed my mum disappeared into the next room and I just assumed she was going to prep the Christmas dinner, my mum then returns two minutes later and hands me a game shaped and perfectly wrapped case, but as someone who had previously owned an xbox 360 it was a little small so I just thought it might have been a bluray DVD or something.
I also got it for christmas back then, I was so exited.
Had to pirate my first one :D
Skyrim is one of the best games ever made
I rarely feel the need to reply to others, but just reading it throws me into a warm holiday mood and nostalgia, thank you for sharing this slice of your life :) I also had an unexplainable time with this game.
Love it.

I remember when I entered Frostflow Lighthouse for the first time in Skyrim.
The tragedy of that lighthouse always gets to me. They just spent everything they had to try and live a better life...
Hands down the best 100% side dungeon (no quests involved before you get there as far as I know). It was kinda in the middle of nowhere too which made it better.
