On an American highway I see that being pretty comfortable.

I was surprised to hear the sound from different boxer engines. The one from a R1250GS is significantly different from a Nine-T and from that R18
it is.. because its not rev friendly what i mean by that, is that is doesnt go way up in revs but gives you all the deep bass of it in low recs i absolutly loved it ... drove one as a change bike while the r1200r was in service

I love my 2021 BMW R18 Classic. I've been riding it hard and enjoying the engine and transmission. The handling is excellent. I love all the chrome. Mine has the foot boards and I greatly prefer them. I can literally stand up while riding and it's like you are surfing. The corn field straight roads in my area are great for just running out in a straight line but when the curves come it's wicking it up time. Can't wait to ride mine in the mountains of North Carolina.
I highly recommend this motorcycle. I've owned many Harley's and this BMW has soul where all the HD's I've had were flat except the EVO motors of the 90's.

Great riding, especially when that unleashed dog started coming at you! I test rode an R18 about a year ago and was blown away by the torque and fit and finish. Only negatives were weight and cornering clearance otherwise fantastic motorcycle!

Hallo! Thanks for another great video on a R18. I ride a Classic and I am totally in love with it. Perfect ride for this aging and demanding Italian rider. I can hear some noise from the brakes, mine has it too. Nothing really annoying, but still did not expect it from BMW.

Thanks! In fact this bike was not as well adjusted throttle-wise compared to the R18 I rode two years ago. You can hear how I was struggling with rev matching. The gearbox though was fine ;)

I usually do that when I'm riding abroad but in this case unfortunately I can't remember which road it was. This was shot in February
Be careful with the throttle, with that engine torque you can remove the asphalt!!

Most of the videos I've watched on the R18 come from Europe. Why are their no shoulders on the roads?? Ugh! btw... Stock exhaust? Are you in *Rock* mode?
What do you think about the exhaust tune compared to a big twin Harley Davidson?
It's quite different but equally enjoyable
I’ve owned a few HD’s and currently have an R18 (stock with fishtails). The rider hears induction roar, gear whining and engine sounds more than on a HD (IMO). HD’s are more about that booming exhaust potato-potato but it does drown out everything else. The HD sound is behind you somehow even though you hear it. Put some earphones on and listen to this, this is exactly what you hear on board. Reminds me of a WW1 bi-plane. It’s very pleasing and not at all annoying. Depends what you want.

Ich finde wenn man weiß worauf du schauen sollst, sieht man das einfache Handling. Ich hätte nur Angst dass ich mich mit dem Boxer selber "aushebel" bei zuviel Schräglage 😅. Vielleicht den Bock bisserl höher legen 🤷? Beste Grüße

You’ll be fine, I’m 5’11”. It’s weight is very low, balanced like no other, feet fully planted.

Na, das Zwischengas ist völlig überflüssig und das viele Schalten auch. Schaut wie ein Anfänger aus 😵💫😵💫🤣🤣
Von Zwischengas spricht man bei Schaltvorgängen hinunter, die mit einem Getriebe ohne interne Synchronisation durchgeführt werden. Bring erstmal Ordnung in deine Wortwahl, bevor du jemanden als Anfänger bezeichnest. Wäre mir an deiner Stelle ziemlich peinlich. Noch peinlicher allerdings dein zweiter Punkt, der beweist nämlich, dass du kein Englisch beherrscht. Als Bewohner eines Industrielandes sollte man das schon können.
