As much as in love the various functions in the TFT dash on my bike, I love that Suzuki kept analogue clocks for this bike. There's a certain theatre about watching that speedo needle fly.

    • @ThunderWindz
      @ThunderWindz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

@@Motoboo_Marine tbh. Analog is much more expensive to make, than slap af TFT screen for 30-40$ from china in there. Thats why manufactures cheap out and use TFT's instead and try to make it fancy.

@@Motoboo_Marine It might be old but it is expensive as gold. That's why manufactures these days cheap out on the dash, and use a tft dash

Kawasaki nailed it with twin round analog and middle lcd, yeah its no tft but its pretty and do the job. Z900rs is dope.
Tho… the busa is something else. Saw the display, didn’t get why suzuki didn’t used it getting rid of the 2 small ones, on other bikes. Best looking dash. And close it is so detailed and refined!

With this bike I always get that vibe of weighty, solid, smooth, but still packing polished performance and capable of sustained 'interesting speeds'. Kind of a Bentley...big, heavy, luxurious, but still capable of punching the Autobahn at sustained 250+kmh. Also, glad to still see analog dials. I love them. They convey things better than those digital readouts.

The Busa is an interesting bike, even the old versions were extremely stable even without rider aids, back in an era when the early widowmaker literbikes were coming out. It's still a bike that can be ridden extremely fast without rider aids by mere mortals. Modern literbikes are of course faster and more powerful and significantly lighter, but are unrideable without IMUs and TC.

Thanks. It's a matter of practice. Through my job I get to ride 50 - 60 different bikes each season. My riding is not that great actually but my capabilities of adapting to a new bike indeed are well above average. That's something all motorcycle journos have in common :) Thanks!

    I've ridden two Suzukis, a GSXR600 and an SV650.
The main thing I remember about the Gixxer is trading my CBR600 with my buddy, and 2 corners down a familiar hill I just had this feeling of "I can ride this thing as fast as I want." It's not the best engine or the fanciest components or whatever but it's a balanced package. Everything works together. They're remarkably well engineered in a way you can't say of very many other sport bikes splashed all over magazine covers.
The SV650 was heading up a tight forested mountain road and I remember "this is so EASY to ride." Not the blistering pace of the Gixxer, but just so easy.

@@englishsteel-nz6imthe only thing to criticize is that they never really update their models. That also keeps them cheap sure, but why buy something new that's already been out like that for 6 years or something. That makes em just a bit boring for me

On my Gen3, I adjusted the suspension (front & rear) several clicks harder, to have more control but still be comfy. At the rear, I first overdid it - and yes: it is possible to hobble around on the road. But this contradicts the Busa's smooth character.
I further recommend putting a 55 series tire on the rear to improve handling.

People talk about the hayabusa good for strait, but it almost had the same vork degree as a gsx r1000 that’s like 23.45 - 23 degree. The busa is only 7cm longer in wheel base. And much heavyer.
So it is made to cut the corners.

Indeed a very impressive machine. Easy to handle in town and you never expect this inline four to be as powerful as it is when you ride this thing in town or do comuting. The engine is tame as a lamb. The seating position is very sporty with your body leaned far forward and you are asking yourself why that is. On an unlimited Autobahn you will find the answer for that, and only then I was able to understand how impressive Suzukis achievement with the Busa is: This bike is built for sustained high speed runs above 200 kph with a normal sized human on board. And oh my god, this thing goes form 200 kph onwards like hell. But you can ride it slowly, you can ride it in the tight stuff and the whole thing didn`t fell apart but holds its own pretty well, even compared to lighter bikes that are more oriented twoards handling. Even hairpins are no problem. And the comfort is indeed excelent without any instability at high speeds, and I was asking myself why some bikes equiped with adaptive suspension weren`t able to be as comfy on the same road as the Busa was.
If Suzuki will ever decide to build a B-King again...... so this seating position was to much for the riding I`m doing.
Regarding the failed marketing I would like to ask why are we always screaming for the fancy new stuff without asking if its doing any better than a well designed and executed concept like the Busa. The approach from Suzuki to perfect existing bikes takes a lot of bashing for quite some time now. In my book that is and was a bit unjustifed, but I`m also totaly happy with a LC-Display, which is readable at any lighting condition, and I don`t care as much about spec-sheets like others do.

Ah man I really need to testride this bike! I had a go on the old Busa two years ago and I LOVED IT.
BUT I felt like it needed to be manhandled through corners a little too much for my taste.
It felt just to dang heavy.
Now I keep seeing those reviews that the new Busa feels much more agile...
And it looks like it too in this video!
    Great riding btw!

@@LucasMuniz294 It's a big bike. But it rides so well. It's so planted because it has some weight to it and it corners like it's on rails. The only time you notice the weight is moving it around your garage. It's like riding a sports limousine lol. The engine is remarkable and allows you to just effortlessly waft around town not even trying and when you give it the beans it's like entering hyperspace. The GT is an excellent bike, but it has some average things about it. The brakes are rubbish and it's definitely built to a budget. The busa is quality from start to finish.
