A destroyer? Eh? Just a destroyer? Damn. Wait till they see the Cruiser. Best to leave the Battleships, Carriers and Dreadnaughts for another day. Eh? They had no idea what effect the gun would have on the ship firing it? They never fired the damn gun before? Jeez.
@@ExTeeBee ... eons ago, when I was trained as reserve junior lieutenant (back then, my country still had compulsory military service), there were provisions (in the regulations) about obeying or disobeying orders. In short, orders are to be followed without question. In doubt, you have to report to the superior of the one that gave that order. Only he had the power to confirm or rescind said order. And until said order is rescinded, it stand and have to be followed.

none of these stories are based on how the military functions. if you have a super weapon why waste the affect on a cruiser or two when they could have used it on the flag ship or some other major ship.
Second post. One ship against a galactic empire? Second blunder in the story. Third ass blunder is firing the pluses cannon. In the end the commander was a fool and earth archive nothing by his stupidity. Please write a story for intelligent adults and not addilesanct
I've had business meetings more enthralling than this
"Don't Fire until you see thw whites of their Eyes" William Prescott, Breeds hill

Yeahhhh..you supposed to test the damn thing to make sure it doesn’t blow up in the process of firing it
@@theonthompson762 They did. Just now. Field testing, am I right? I mean, it tracks with engineering VS user/maintenance as it stands now...
It's called plot armor.
Sometimes you don't have time to test fire something. At least in theroy when it comes to a literal ship, the size of cities or worse small counties
AI is like listening to a 6 year old reading a story in class.
Particularly when they try to pronounce. 'Debris' is almost always mispronounced.
WEIRD AS SHIT ENDING. NOT ONE OF YOUR BETTER TALES.
This story does not compute if you know jack.
Something along the lines of "my peepee exploded!" ...And then silence.
This is enraging. 😂😀
Destroyer? Ridiculous, we would send a fighter, that's all we would need
Where the heck is the rest of the story??? This is, quite frankly, infuriating, to say the least.
Everything went dark. That is not a proper ending.
that crew person that question the captains orders. would find them selves in the brig on desertion charges.
one NEVER questions there orders.
And that's why you can't spell their.
Also any solid military includes provisions for bad orders.

I swear his voice sounds like Ricky from the "Two Bit DaVinci channel"
Riiiight. The human race put an untested weapon into a warship...pfft.
Gave up at 7:55. It would be nice to hear a martial story written by someone who has the vaguest notion of military protocol.
Exact same story of another poster
What fool of a commander take an untested weapon systems into battle ? First post.

what is this.
only half story's now?

I don't abide story fragments. I have a zero tolerance policy. Orbit Tales is dead to me.
Good story.
Oops...
Very nice
What an f'ing nothing burger ends with just nothing!! i suggest you skip this one or be enraged. No ending No Part two just nothing but darkness.

just another account to block. this story sucks. tired of this narrator and the 1D stories.
Talk about a screw job of an ending.
