    How convenient that sun related issues and the technology all arrive on the same day. Dang Humans! lol

      im pretty much betting that these stars are being sabotaged to make humans look good at this point, the trinary stars of alpha centauri shouldnt even have the combined stellar mass to go supernova. Alpha Centauri A (Rigil Kentaurus) is a class G2-V Main Sequence Star thats about 22% larger than the sun with 110% of the Suns mass, Alpha Centauri B (Toliman) is a class K1-V Main Sequence Star thats about 14% smaller than the Sun with 90% of the Suns mass, Alpha Centauri C (Proxima Centauri) is a Red Dwarf Star that is about 14% the size of our Sun with 12.5% of the Suns mass. While they are essentially a Trinary Star System, A and B orbit eachother while C orbits A and B in an extremely eccentric elliptic orbit, if A and B were to ever merge then C will very likely become an orphaned star and hurtle helplessly in deep space. As it stands A and B dont have the solar mass to cause a Supernova let alone a Pulsar, at the end of its life cycle both of them will eventually just become Red Dwarfs or even Brown Dwarfs. Even if they collapsed into eachother and merged into one the case of it happening is nearly zero.
      edit: im just speculating because im sure this story didnt think this deeply enough, but my guess as to why alpha centauri went supernova is because it was rigged to do so intentionally to make the humans look like the good guys. you know the whole "create the disease and sell the cure" example? (or in videogame terms create a game mechanic problem and sell the solution, i'm looking at you star citizen) same deal. its also incredibly suspicious that its alpha centauri and not a star closer to the border of alliance space since a supernova from alpha centauri wouldnt even harm sol (its closest neighbor) let alone wherever this diplomatic first contact is taking place. does that then imply that alliance space is literally one hyperlane jump away from sol? if this was a stellaris game i would be panicking at the thought of having my capital system so close to another empires border.
      2nd edit: the only real danger from a supernova at such distances is if it collapses into a pulsar and that pulsar has a GRE (Gamma Ray Emission) heading straight for them. (GRE is different from GRB - Gamma Ray Burst, where GRB's are caused the the natural collapse of a Supergiant Star or artificial collapse of a Neutron Star into a Blackhole, and GRB's are several thousands of magnitudes more powerful than GRE's, so much so that it is considered as one of the "Great Filters" of life in the universe. GRE's by comparison are much weaker and have shorter range, but can still be a danger.)

    The meeting on harmonious prime is interrupted by a repeat of the star going into supernova.
    You should edit this video.

    Humanity was helpful, friendly, humble, magnanimous and yet even after saving the Council fleet first and the colony later had to grovel to be accepted in friendship and it took a year to become member! When the Council diplomats reached the Horizon and whatever the name is of their ship, they came with a bad attitude. The humans could have been a little nasty and say if we wanted to conquer you, we have what it takes and when they got to the Council planet and were faced with the attitude again, they could have said if we wanted to conquer you we could have protected ourselves from the Supernova and left you behind to suffer, yet we didn’t and we saved the colony too. Magnanimity is fine, humbleness is fine, maturity and kindness is fine but the lack of respect of this chicken council is just ludicrous. Tiresome.

      if i was in humanity's shoes i would have refused to join their pompous and self absorbed alliance and instead formed my own federation of like-minded species. why waste time and effort on an old & fossilized relic when you can start anew with shared ideals and interests.

    Err, the supernova would travel at light speed...so if Alpha Centauri went nova it would still be 4.x years before the effects reached us here, and without FTL sensors you wouldn't even know. Whatever, enjoy the story...

    Again, the captions are horrible, the word "known" is written as "gnome" , "Antennae" as "Xantenei" is it "Sue Min" or "Su Min" , "Jae Sum", "Jay Sung" , "Jae Sun" , "Ji Sung", "Jaysong" or "J Some" too many to continue listing and that is just up to the 4:24 mark. Why can't any of these channels get this right? EDIT: It continues like this throughout the entire story.

    22:00 it would be foolish to brave the universe with a strictly pacifist mindset, ships that dont have any defenses of any kind, and with the misguided expectation that everyone else is peaceful and amicable, does that councilman think we are gullible and naive? the best path to peace is to offer a hand of friendship but always be ready for total war. because if you dont show your might, they will trample you underfoot.

    Another "Made in China" story.....

      @chloekaftan 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      how can you tell? if you're answer is "because its ai generated" then its a pretty weak answer.
      edit: if its because of the human captains name, many asians live in western countries and serve their militaries; korea, japan, and the philippines for example has a huge amount of their people serving in the US military.

    Except for a few variations, this is an almost ripoff of another video of pretty much the same name. When are you guys going to quit copying off each other and start coming up with original ideas of your own. It really gets frustrating to go from channel to channel to see basically the same titles and very little change in content.
