Thank you for explaining the fundamental process of tuning a chain saw.. Your procedure is correct 👍 and will work every time once you don’t exceed max rpm’s.. good job
I've had my 590 for 7 years and I've cut dump truck loads of firewood with it and dropped more trees than I can remember. I mainly run a 28" for firewood cutting as I'm always cutting big wood I have a husqvarna 572xp as well and I always run the echo. It's bone stock from the factory and is a total monster for a 60cc saw.
My CS-590 bought bout a year ago was assembled in Japan. Thought that was interesting cause most all their US market stuff is usually built @ their plant in Illinois. Runs like a beast all stock on canned 50:1 really great saw
I hate this Echo CS590. New stock coil, new stock carb, new stock air filter/plug/ and fuel filter and it only runs for two seconds choked and dies. It will not run at all unchoked. I should have stayed with Stihl.
@@MowerMike thank you for the recommendation. I will find a P/N and order them. Hopefully that will fix the issue, but as everything takes 2-3 weeks to arrive to VA, it will be weeks until I can try that.
If you ever replace the carb on a 590, buy an OEM carb for the CS-620P. It’s a straight swap and will tune better because it doesn’t have a governed main jet. You can also buy just the jet and it’ll install in the 590 carb, but by the time you do that you might as well buy the carb. Note, that won’t make it a “cheap 620.” That would require also replacing the 620 coil, clutch & cover, 2nd dog, etc. By the time you’ve bought a 620 carb and coil, you could’ve just about bought a 620P.
Looks like your chain was on the dull side, usually u dont need to lean on the chainsaw, just keep your rakers lower, and chain sharp, chainsaw will grab, and dig, him self in the wood... 🪚
This video is the best i've seen in explaining how to tune your carb. It all makes sense now. Thanks for breaking it down.
Hey thanks, I am no pro but it makes sense to me.

Thanks Jim, I try to make things simple so normal people can actually understand it.

Nice Get’r done!
Great video. My Echo 590 is boggy at idle but after doing some cutting it starts overrevving . Any suggestions? Thanks
Glad ya enjoyed it. I am no expert but if it is over running my guess is it is running to lean so maybe fatten the high jet a bit.

Really I just figured they were all made in the US guess I am wrong. I agree they are great running saws
Just bought one and a first-time chainsaw owner.
Is it absolutely necessary to do this? I’m trying to figure out if I need to do so or not.
No not at all. Just use your new saw with the factory settings and have fun with it. You should only have to do this if you put a new carb on it.
My CS590 was made in Japan.
Are there some made here in the US??
No idea I was just rambling lol
Cool channel and new sub!
Welcome aboard, strap in it could get weird!
How can i turn it off??
There is a switch on the saw
Switch down to turn it off, or just let it run more than 2 seconds after starting and it shuts off every time without fail.
@@teamja1088no joke had the same issue until I tuned the carb. Echo's Factory tuning was a joke.
Other than you…I think the main issue with that chainsaw is a dull chain
Haha we are both a work in progress. Got a sweet deal on the chain on Amazon, was only $15. Hmmm
Super Echo dall'Italia da Castel beseno Trento
Haha yep super Echo!
That saw is way out of tune..my 590 will cut circles around that one
I have no doubt. But I bet mine is louder ;)
HusqAvarna
Hooskvarna actually.

Try changing the fuel lines. I know it is a pain but a lot of times that is the issue

@@teamja1088 Most of the carb kits on Amazon come with fuel lines and fuel filters. I would just buy one of those cheapo ones.

@KSMike1 no real gains on the swapping carb .3 seconds faster cut, done by others.
That's the crappy Chinese carb... causing that.
Thanks for the info

Nice comment. I dig the little saw pic
