meade916 how you get around the dash icons on the cars that have them tied into the deck? Seen this with Chevy, Cadillac, and Nissan after 2000 mods. Things like gas gauge, and nearly every other function tied into the head unit.
meade916 nevermind 😂. Had to rewatch the end seen the functions was condensed above the deck.

Completely off topic, been watching a lot of amp tests recently. I'm going to assume that it's not a coincidence that the majority use a SMD dyno. That speaks volumes. This is my "go to" channel.

Just fyi in the future, the upper vent panel pulls towards the rear of the car so you don’t break the clips 👌🏻👌🏻

I'm having the same problem with 07 accord and didn't think I could replace it much needed video lol
i did an install on my 2014 honda civic and the dash kit i got feels cheaper then the original piece but it works and its sitting secure and in the right place
also i ran rcas on a toyota camry after this and its fun, just the hard part is hiding it in the carpet
That upper panel the way to remove it with out that metal clip flying out and risk damaging the panel. Is to take and push hazard light switch. Then use screw driver and push down on the center part there’s a slot there. And then use trim tool to carefully pry on the left and right sides. But shouldn’t matter its LX model.

I would know, considering I own the same year, model, and trim of this exact car. Lol

I'm currently doing the same thing your doing Steve. Replace the OEM headunit in my Hyundai Elantra with a Kenwood Exceleon and replacing the rear speakers with Infinifty Kappa 62ix's. Love install car audio vids! Keep 'em coming.
Hondas that have never had panels removed are always a pain in the ass to remove,the Accords especially

I do audio installation for a living and just for information purposes all pioneer radios with the parking brake wire you can put to chassis ground with a small toggle switch interrupting it and that will give the exact same effect as the bypass module you installed.
And the bypass module does not get hot.
Why even do the switch then, just put it to ground
@@philb707 it has to see it pulse to ground. It will not work properly if it always sees ground
My apologies you're 100% right, i installed some cheaper H/U that just wanted to see ground.
@@philb707 now all kenwood radios you can just ground it out. And some older alpine radios as well but 99 percent of all newer alpine need to use an alpine specific switcher
or i can just use this and not have to hit a switch. I hate toggle switches.

I manufacture stuff for the car audio world but i don't install for my bread and butter. Just a hobby.

yup. my boy did a pac head unit with a single din and 4 speaker install and amp. on my 05 accord. took him 12 hours of non stop work only to find out we needed seaker rings for the front and no sub install too. im almost done with it just the bass in the trunk and the same b2s jaybird has and im set. can wait to see how you do the front speakers mr meade
Trying to take apart a dash for the first time can be a little daunting especially if it's not your car but you knocked it out and it looks great. Look forward to the next upgrades and what you plane for your truck

I ordered GTA radio Bluetooth kit for a 03 accord and it was very easy to install, and now he has great quality sound and can use his iPhone playlist and rece Ive calls very clear. I have one to sell for an 03 Acura MDX

ya i feel ya on that. They are a lot better IN the car and working but when i first saw them in the box when i bought it i was like 'meh'....LOL
The AC controls is what pulls the bitches!
Fat Tony Slim in my 05 accord I have navigation and it’s even worse. The ac controls are done through the screen. I just have to deal with having a stock head unit and upgraded door speakers. I’m only 17 so I’m kinda on a budget but getting new door speakers was such a good idea.

4:27 Exactly i hate that crap. Now im in a predicament. I love the bottom pocket so i left it on but the door wont close with a double din. I believe a single din with no extra aftermarket pocket but a cover instead will make the bottom pocker functional.
