You usually have a fine selection of tools and equipment. But you didn't have your green tin snips for left turning cuts. However you managed very well for using the wrong tool. And you are the highest quality . Don't doubt your work . You don't settle for less than the best. Keeps my interest where most don't
I've watched these videos (series) enough times to know every word by heart. Today, I noticed something that I totally missed. Lol! The metal trimming moment. I saw the mod but missed the moment where you actually did the cutting. I'm having to do this with a set of Sony 6.5 ES components on an 06 Accord. The molex moment was NOICE too. Struggling with the tweeter placement (for me) as I like the whole stealth look of my tweets in the dash. This placement gets them out of the dash which changes the front stage in a positive way I'm sure. Video saved for ref. Thanks for sharing brother. Oh - Love the box too - that it works and keeps the spare in the car.
15:20 Ever sense I learned this from you I do it that way every time! The golden nuggets of knowledge that are sprinkled through a SMD video are invaluable.
I've had the simplest of questions when it comes to using both terminal spots on the xs power batteries. Thanks for answering that question for me in this video. I have learned so much from these vids and ive put that to use. Thanks for the entertainment and all the knowledge. Happy new year.
I love the LED SMD Sign. LED's are the way to go and can make things look so nice. I create some of these LED signs with a 3d printer, plexiglass, and programmable LED's I code
We need more ppl like u around, showz u really kno wut u are doin man, i paid about 6 grand for a dd system and focal highz, only lazted about a month until shit started breaking dwn
Watching the front door speaker install, to make it easier to cut round holes in sheet metal, use either red( right cut) or green( left cut) handle sheet metal sheers. Great channel, thanks.
i don't need help. It wasn't hard. Except for one side that was double walled. I have been working with sheet metal for 30 years, i got this. But thanks anyway just in case.
I could see Steve’s invoice to J-Bird already, Amps: $2.00 for both Subs: $2.50 for both with box Battery: $0.75 Wires: $0.05 per foot Etc........ Labor: Love
Nice work! Also, I like the 2pac, E40, & Spice 1 in the background. I guess that stood out b/c I’m still stuck in that era of that style rap/hip hop, lowriders, etc.
Steve is the kind of friend ya want to borrow/help with $. He's a good guy and as far as his business, he stands behind his products and puts out great products. I've been really happy with everything I've had that was a SMD product and stuff he endorsed. (Of course until some pieces of shit thieves broke into my garage/car and stole everything. My entire set-up and all my install tools.) I would seriously recommend SMD products to absolutely anyone.
18:45 Phil Collins - one more night the basic thing that we all need to know to install sound system... the master himself showed us how he did it.. big respect to the master... SMD !!
I think I've seen built in laptop speakers with more guts than those stock Honda ones. Did a real good job on the speaker rings, great work as usual guys.

@@meade916 Well that makes more sense hahahaha still, it was really interesting to see the doors part, as its very similar to my car, sadly in mine the speakers are fixed to the plastic part (interior part) of the door panel so it rattles itself appart with the smallest bit of bass, even tho i covered the whole panel with deadener.. but hopefully i'll get another car soon XD

That SMD glowing with the digital gauges is freaking awesome👍👍
This so similar to my Acura Tsx install. Its good to see how a master does it. I woul’ve killed for those rings for the 6 1/2s.
the magnets that hold that box in and send the signal is so badass!

Nice. I use the IMSG for the exact same thing. Less harsh than a 9 volt battery on the tweeter. Great video as always homie.
That box cradle set up is sick
Beautiful, amazing how times have changed, we had to make those out of mdf by hand back in the day or cut the original speaker up into a mount
Craven Moorhead that’s what I did. Gutted the stock speaker using the ring and part of the basket

Looks bada$$ man. Cant wait till the next upload once its all done!
Just used your same idea for the rings for the speakers just in mdf thanks for the great videos
Theee ol trusty left hand cutter never fails
Sounds good I love the magnets idea is cool but I’ll would put another set of 6 1/2s in the back deck other then that I love all the extra options 👍
nah. I would rather have it sound good. Rear speakers suck. Front is all you need.

I'm curious to know what's the remaining plain with the escalade
if you subscribe you shall see
would the glass have a affect on the bass to the cabin?
no. The glass covers the amp rack not the entire back opening. It's just laying there because i am not ready to put it on yet.
Dam j-bird is going to love it for real i wish i could have amp rack made for my car like the one in Anthony's yukon
Amazing as usual, my brotha!
Top notch installs always ✌👀 man, I was in my 20's during the 90's best rap music Era imo fun and crazy reminiscing 👊😁

Just got a 2019 Volvo S90 wish u were in socal!!! Front door speakers sound amazing. My rear doors are crap.
I like to use xt60 lithium battery connectors for quick disconnect where needed.

I spent upwards of $400 on dynamat alone on my audio install in my daily driver. Very happy with that decision.
next time order some Second Skin you won't have to use as much for the same if not better results. :) www.secondskinaudio.com
Road noise improved too? That's a pretty big issue in my truck.
Hi Steve when I went to see u in November I watch u fix your heat gun
I thought I had accidentally restarted the video. I heard "I got 5 on it" playing again later in the video. 😂😂
That song is the bomb
awesome work steve as always.....happy new year
Old school using those tin snips
