I’m 70 years old and frankly it’s embarrassing to see women my age falling for these transparent schemes. The thing is, the age difference alone is just so weird and implausible. What were they thinking??
Yeah, same age as you and for sure I don’t know any old people who would fall for this crap. We’re not all lonely, befuddled or dealing with some form of dementia.
I agree. My mum is 71 and the last person I know who’d ever fall for something like this. I use dating apps like Tinder to meet people my age, and she’s the one of us two who’s more sceptical of my dates 😂
@@cremebrulee4759 this is not only about loneliness. The way that they hook in the victims is greed. They can get attention from someone that isn’t as good looking or rich. They need to understand that fairytales only exist in books and movies. In real life you have to humble yourself and make the best with what you have.
Yes I definitely feel better about some of my shitty life choices. A useless college major and one divorce under my belt is chump change compared to these people.
It is soo hard to do. My mother was like this...when I said I was trying to get Power of Attorney as she bled all my dad's money out to strangers, she never talked to me and cut me out of the will. I have a son that is severely mentally ill...he just gave a shout out for needing a 'payee' to get SSI. I checked him Facebook page, and every person on it is a scammer. So, I now am in that position of being the only voice of reason with the older generation and now the younger....I wonder if it is hereditary.
I met a lady who was caught up in a scam . She knew her “fellow” was a young Doctor ( ha ha) Africa. Now this woman was a retired ( in her 70’s) teacher. She lived in the hotel I managed for a few years . ( I don’t know why, we had several resident guests) she would come to the front telling us all stories of how her young Doctor in Africa was going to send for her as soon as he got things straight. They were buying a mansion there and have servants. She even said if I was nice I could come along as a servant ( riiiiiggghhht). At this time I didn’t know she was sending money to this guy, but figured this was a scam. One of my guys had a family emergency so I took over his shift so he could go. She comes to the office looking for the staff member. She said he helps her take pictures . She asked if I could take pictures of gift cards and send these cards to her Fiancé in Africa. I asked her how long has she been sending this person money.. she stopped and thought then replied at least a year, he needed money for the house he was building them. I told her I believed she was being scammed and wouldn’t help. I saw a sweet , kind , meek woman turn into an emotional wreck. He was going to loose everything and it would be all my fault, blah blah blah. I asked her what was she going to do if she lost everything to this scammer, she started screaming about he loves her and is a man of God. (😳🙄, big red flag) I was going to hell.. she ended up eventually homeless because he told her to send basically everything she had and sell everything but a few clothes he was coming to get her that weekend and fly her back to Africa to their home. She was selling her jewelry that was her mothers ( she said) , what she couldn’t sell she gave away so all she had was a bag of stuff , because he was getting her all new stuff in Africa. He was to arrive by helicopter in the field by the motel, she told him he could land his helicopter there. She was paid up through Saturday. He was supposed to be there.. nope. Then Sunday.. she called him and called him no reply. Then he blocked her. She ended up being evicted due to not being able to pay. She was welcomed to come back once she had the funds to pay rent. We never saw her again. She told the guy she was going to be homeless for a month .. and he kept up with the scam. Worse than seeing these scammers have no empathy was watching her act like a mad woman trying to get these scammers money. Nothing you say could have stopped her from giving this scammer her last dollar. She wanted that fantasy so bad. It comes to a point to where when do you stop feeling sorry for someone you can’t save from themselves.
Very good story. I see it too. A person can become obsessed with the fantasy, no matter how ridiculous. Scammers will take an take and don't care if you end up homeless
Personally I wouldn't want to be with a young man. I'd want him to be with someone he could build a life with and have children with. I find it really difficult to believe how gullible some people are, it's just so obvious
"Still has feelings for him" shows how far gone she is. There is no him! It is a fictional character. It's like saying "I still have feelings for James Bond."
Well they use manipulation tactics to get you to doubt your reality. I know I almost fell for it but my logical brain won. They get you hooked with love bombing. You feel like you are on some type of drug and also extreme gaslighting.
Why would you give someone you've never met any money! She looks old enough to be his mum! People are paying for a fantasy . Stop it! Be realistic people!
As soon as he asked for money, I would have replied "Oh, I was just going to ask you for 10K as my chicken needs back surgery. Can you send me some money to help my chicken out?" Scammer would immediately block me!
@@The_torero exactly. That Hass to be at least the sixth gay man whose pictures were used that I’ve seen on this channel. Why do they use pictures of gay men? The target women? What do scammers that target gay men use? Pictures of straight men?

Sadly, I don't see this scam ending anytime soon. As long as there are lonely elderly ladies who sincerely believe a handsome younger man would want them, and that it makes total sense to send money to someone you've never even shared a handshake with, well, I guess this channel can look forward to a nice long run! How'd they get this old being so gullible????

used to be the grandsons would worry the families with their drug addictions, now it's the grannies worrying the kids & grandkids with their scam addictions🤦🏻♀️😂🤣🤷🏻♀️🤯
It's a very, very small minority of elder women who develop these addictions where they lose their life savings. They are dirty old women looking for young studs.
Why the hell to these ladies think it’s their responsibility to take care of other people’s financial issues, especially when they’ve never even met the person?
If you notice most of these people that got scammed didn’t really work for their money. They inherited it or got it from their spouses death. That explains why they would easily give it away.
These scammers sold these people a illusion, and a dream. Same with "Herbert the pervert" visits Ukraine, and Russia. It's a lie that these women are desperate to get out of the country. In most cases, they don't want a man that is 50 years older. Heck, I'm 38, and even I would not go for someone 20 years younger. Maybe 10 max.
I think, a lot of these women were attractive back in their day, and when they look in the mirror they don't see what they look like now and they see 30 years ago. That is ageist but the reality is, these attractive men just don't go for these older women... It's unusual.
@@Daysleeper1000 it also applies to men on slavic letter writing sites. They don’t understand that 21 year old Sveta has so many local options of men in Ukraine closer to her own age. If he’s real she still wants to be with him?? I guess this lady cares about looks and not the fact she was taken advantage of and robbed out of all her money.
God...your comment is so awesome. I agree with you on everything you said...from what she said, it sounded like she would still want to be with him if the photos were actually his. Pretty sad when physical appearance is what moves the world, and if you're attractive you can get away with anything.
She was scammed before and went back for a second scamming. I don't feel any sympathy for her. It was probably her husband's money that he left her. I doubt she earned it herself, she would be a more savvy person.

I can't understand how these "victims" (idiots) don't wonder how these "extremely successful business people" haven't got business colleagues, their bank managers or family that they can ask rather than ask them?! Big red flag from the off!
I... I... I just can't... even after having the reveal meeting with the catfished team and them informing Linda that all the wallets are zeroed, she asked if this was a scam? I mean come on Linda Luvvy let common sense take over for a change. The second someone online 'asks you for a money favour' time to press report, block, delete. Loneliness is not an excuse to be scammed, sounds harsh but it's true.
I agree with you. Whether online or offline, if and when someone asks you for a financial favor of any form, be ready to lose that person from your life. Did you lose someone great? No, because you might have actually gained something called boundaries. But as a lawyer I've seen too many people who got conned via emotional abuse -be it a romantic relationship, friendship and even in their own families! What's also important to note is not to blame the victims even if we think they could have been more careful and cautious. They were emotionally abused and manipulated by someone who approached them wifh sinister intentions & many are left with complex-PTSD and trust issues in their future relationships well after such incident 😞 The world can be cruel and messed up at times.
This takes my breath away… Do these women pay for the feeling of being loved? I completely understand the longing for a love, for companionship and not being alone anymore no matter what age. But why do they’ve to pay for it? A loving partner and good businessman will never act this way.
Then they start threatening them verbally and that makes the victim scared that they will lose that small shred of love and attention :( it's truly predatory
More than loneliness it appears that these women are trying to be saviors, like they are rescuing the man. It's seems like an exhausting relationship! Who would want a man with so many problems?
So true, I divorced my ex because he never understood that concept. I had more money than he, so he felt that I should finance his lifestyle. What a pig.
She has been previously scammed. She knows about romance scams. Finds out this is also a scam. Still wants to stay in contact with scammer. She should not have access to the internet or money, plz help her
It’s shocking to me that the storyline from the scammer is always basically the same. If people would watch these videos on You Tube the minute they’re asked for money they’d realize they’re dealing with a scammer.
But to be fair, I know there are online scammers, but I myself didn't know about oil rig stories and other usual red flags until I started watching these videos. I may or may not buy their drivel but still....it should be pounded into people's heads that it is mandatory not to sent money to people online.
@geekandglitter - Yes, I know you’re right, it’s just amazing to me that the story line is almost identical every time. Plus, when the women do speak with them they never seem to be alarmed by the fact that he has a Nigerian (type) of accent.
Not just these or on TH-cam, just true crime in general. I tell anyone, especially women, if you’re not watching true crime cases old and new, cold or not, of any kind, here and there, you’re doing yourself a disservice. There’s so many evil people doing so many different things to get you, your money, your life.
She won't recoup even a penny of it - there is absolutely no way to recover bit coin transactions, because it's nothing but a payment processor. It's not tied to any person, business, or entity.....that money is simply unrecoverable. I learned that from Dr. Phil lol.
Yes, heartbreaking for her family! She is pathetic. I'll bet if a relative asked to borrow that same amount of money she would flat out say, "No!" How about if a homeless person asked her to buy them a house? Bet the answer would be "no" as well. She has a big ego, money to burn apparently, and is devoid of a functioning brain. She needs to be in a home where she can be monitored.
Most of the cases will contact catfished after the fact instead of before sending the money. Once the damage is done it’s almost nothing they can do to help. And another thing these victims need to realize is that, how could these young, fit and good looking guys/girls in their right mind would fall for ones who look like their grandpas/grandmas?? It’s really sad.
And they are delusional enough to think that they deserve a hot man or woman when they are overweight and out of shape. It has to be delusions of grandeur.
They want info on you so they can convince you that u and the scammers have so much in common. These women have no idea how the world works. In their younger days it was 1960. People were honest. Tomes have changed!!!! The world is not the same. But you can't convince them.sad
She’s not alone. My mother in law gave away everything she had and had to sell her house. Told us to fuck off when we tried to get through to her. Not sure how much she gave away but it’s over 100k. I kind of think it’s karma because she’s a nasty human.
Cautionary flags: 1) 20 years or more younger 2) asking for money 3) calling her my queen 4) extra romantic phrases which seem dated or corny 5) only showing photos 6) saying they are working in a foreign country 7) not wanting to facetime or video conference 8)asking to invest large sums of money.
They have a lot of money, but it is somehow "stuck" or "locked" in their account and they need to pay a fee or tax to some official or bank to have their funds disbursed to them. amirite folks?
A lot of these scammed older women have a hard time admitting that the guy that's chasing them looks like he should be their grandson. That's clue number one you're getting scammed.
So true, it does happen though, I know a guy dating a women for years who is much older, like a 20-year difference. But... most of the time, men don't like older women, especially that age gap.
I know these good people want us to write encouraging comments for the victims, but honestly, how can you look at a man half your age and probably younger than your children as a romantic interest. I'm nearly 64, my oldest child is 40. I can't imagine what I would have in common with someone the age of my kids. And if I was scammed like this, my children would probably never speak to me again for being so thick.
It depends on the person. When I was in was in my thirties, they were in their twenties and when I was in my 40s they were still in their twenties. I just turned 50 and the person I'm with now is half my age and I have more in common with him than guys my own age mostly because I never got married and I never had kids. I can't relate much to people my own age unless they kind of took the same path as me. I'm not really focused on having a family and I like being around people who motivate me on my projects and my career. So yes, it can happen :-)
If she went out on a dinner date with a man and that man refused to pay for dinner she would be OFFENDED! But she's SO HAPPY to send $100,000.00 to a complete stranger.

Yes. You do not need to know red flags like oil rig workers, two first names, babe, My Queen, etc to know that it is a GIVEN that you do not send money to people you have not MET in person.
This appears to be the new elderly scam. When I was young it use to mean them sending a couple hundred bucks in the mail to a charity that was a scam. This has gone to a whole new level.
The majority of people scamed loose like 100-1000 at most. There are enough scamers that ask for like $30 a week for food - which is about what 2-4 weeks of food is for a nigerian. People are more likely to spent like $50 on a giftcard if the scamer was with them for a few days or weeks - if they ask for more and more, the majority will cut ties. The ones featured are extreme cases.
It blows me away just how many elderly women believe that a younger attractive man wants to be with her and they send them all their money!!!! Will they ever learn? I just don’t know! In this case this woman actually believes that they have this amazing bond! I don’t get it! Are they naive or desperate or both???
Have you ever heard of the bell shaped curve of intelligence? There's always gonna be people with low intelligence, who lack the ability to connect the dots or pick up on red flags. Sadly if they don't have family or friends looking out for them, they can be stupid with their money and life choices.
How can THIS woman look in the mirror and still think some muscle guy 30 years younger falls in love with them? She looks old enough to be his grandmother.
So he told her he was in love with her after only a few days, and gave her, (someone who was essentially a total stranger at that point), his “banking information” to make major transfers for him, and none of that was a red flag for her? And she was scammed before this and none of her spidey senses went off? SMH 😒
I’m starting to think these videos are scams also because they are all the same. They collect more money from TH-cam the more viewers they get 😅. What do you all think ?
@@francesgillotti1378 I think maybe the reason why the stories are all the same it’s because romance scammers use the same formats. They often use the same scripts. Another channel I watched had a video where the host of the channel was wasting the time of an employment scammer. Based on what the scammer told him, I recognized it because I’ve seen it before. They didn’t get any money out of me. But scammers often use the same scripts and formats. Also, I’m not sure if all the stories are fake for the sake of getting money. Because this channel isn’t monetized. I don’t recall ever seeing an ad on it. Though if some of the stories are fake in order to get views, it’s possible that they’re doing it for the purposes of driving traffic to their website.
I just would like to say that I am obsessed with this channel! You guys really are genuine in helping people and I hope this channel continues to prosper. Major support from me!!
This woman is old enough to be his grandmother if not just his mother. Who does she see when she looks in the mirror? And she was scammed before??? I have very little sympathy for her. Wayyyy in the back of her mind she must've known that she was being taken for a ride. The reason these people want to know all about you is to use that knowledge to get to a persons heartstrings. They get get to know all that a marriage specialist would know as how to catch a man/woman. She's lost a lifetime worth of savings that she will never, ever see again. She most likely doesn't have any friends or family because they would have put a end to this nonsense .
I hope you say this exact thing to older men who simp after younger women. However, something tells me you just call the young woman a gold digger and absolve the man. Way to victim blame.
Remember the pictures these scammers use are NOT THE PERSON she is talking to....It is a fake picture used to capture likely victims. All done for manipulation.
The "love interest" guy looks young enough to be her son!! For goodness sake, are these women delusional and in need of anti-psychotic medication? It's incredible that they can convince themselves genuine men of this age are interested, and seeking a permanent, spousal relationship with them. For the most part the men used (in the identity theft) are physically attractive, and well presented. If a man with the appeal of David Beckham came onto me, I'd know without a doubt he was after my money and not my physical attributes!!
What's up with these old ladies, and old men, throwing money around for a person they never physically met in person; while, they would not lend $50 for their own family 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

The chance of him being real is 50-50?!? I wouldn't have even given it 1-99 looking at his profile picture next to hers. Absolutely delusional.
She says she ‘lost’ the money. No, she gave it away.

He’s definitely not that young.
Don't give money to online strangers you've never met in person. It's crazy sad how many gullible people there are.
This woman takes the news of her impending financial collapse as if someone told her her grass needed trimming!
My scammers on messenger keep trying different ploys. It’s so hilarious! I just play with them. He got super mad at me yesterday, my son was laughing out loud!
Keep going. You're saving someone else.
why i dont get any? 😂
I do the same thing.
@@ladani2007 Because you’re smart
I play with them sometimes. I told the last one I was studying Tasmanian Devils and was attacked. I needed $100,000 for my hospital bill and an airline ticket to get to him. He loved me so much I never heard from him again. It's fun to play with them!!
Why send money to anybody you never met in person? There are so many crooks online that one needs to be extremely cautious.
Every time people who friend request me online start asking for money or help, I unfriend or block them. I feel sorry for this lady and an aversion for the scammer. Thank you Catfished for raising awareness and hopefully nobody else will fall these types of scams.
It's a question I'm asking every time I watched a video like this, it's upsetting
@@yanickbernadeau26 Exactly...it's sad and shocking at the same time.
@@KOLAZ12 I met people on chatting line, there's a particular one always say hi to me one time he asked me for help, to send money, I said to him that's one thing I don't doto others except family members, he said we talked all the time, I replied I don't know you ,that's how you put and end to those scumbags
@@yanickbernadeau26 That's fantastic! I wish everybody could learn and avoid being defrauded of their hard-earned money/resources.
Yes. You do not need to know red flags like oil rig workers, two first names, babe, My Queen, etc to know that it is a GIVEN that you do not send money to people you have not MET in person.
i've watched so many of your videos and it never ceases to amaze me how many ppl fall for these scams and how much money some of them send!
This appears to be the new elderly scam. When I was young it use to mean them sending a couple hundred bucks in the mail to a charity that was a scam. This has gone to a whole new level.
Boomers are the Me Generation
The majority of people scamed loose like 100-1000 at most. There are enough scamers that ask for like $30 a week for food - which is about what 2-4 weeks of food is for a nigerian. People are more likely to spent like $50 on a giftcard if the scamer was with them for a few days or weeks - if they ask for more and more, the majority will cut ties.
The ones featured are extreme cases.
Yes, $200 is nothing. Let’s go for at least $500,000.
Or they send hundreds as “Love Gifts” to the mega churches. Same scam.
That’s exactly it. It’s the cocky boomers!
His shirt says "slay queen"..... lololols 😂..... and she didn't get it.....lolols! These poor dummies.
Yeah. This dude wants to start his retirement with some old ass lady who's been retired 20 years already 😂
Linda, I know this must have been hard to admit publicly, but your confessions will undoubtedly be helpful to others.
Hi Veronica how are you. Greetings from Ireland. Scamming is so terrible for women. These guys have no heart. Best wishes for a lovely day 😊🙏 Michael
I don't know how helpful this will be for others. It appears they all wait until after they've given it all away that they contact Catfished.
It blows me away just how many elderly women believe that a younger attractive man wants to be with her and they send them all their money!!!! Will they ever learn? I just don’t know! In this case this woman actually believes that they have this amazing bond! I don’t get it! Are they naive or desperate or both???
Wonder if they worked for their money you would think if they did they wouldnot give it away do easily
He is not attractive
Have you ever heard of the bell shaped curve of intelligence? There's always gonna be people with low intelligence, who lack the ability to connect the dots or pick up on red flags. Sadly if they don't have family or friends looking out for them, they can be stupid with their money and life choices.
@StayInAlive won't show his teeth in any of the pictures.
@@animaladvocate8938 He is still out of her league!
SMH 😒
pure dumb
There's really no excuse for her behavior. It's bizarre.
I’m starting to think these videos are scams also because they are all the same. They collect more money from TH-cam the more viewers they get 😅. What do you all think ?
@@francesgillotti1378 😂 I agree. People can’t really be this dumb.
The only reason a man that looked like him would want an old woman is for money.
Yes he appears younger, but maybe in his 50s...so not quite is she old enough to be his mother, let alone his grandmother. She's 69.
I hope you say this exact thing to older men who simp after younger women. However, something tells me you just call the young woman a gold digger and absolve the man. Way to victim blame.
No, they are about the same age. Check again
She thinks she’s 32 years old, as that’s what Phillip told her.
If a man with the appeal of David Beckham came onto me, I'd know without a doubt he was after my money and not my physical attributes!!
or in some cultures, grandson
69 year old and no brain at all!! She looks like old grandma and believe in love with young man?? She need medical attention!!
It's mental!!
What's up with these old ladies, and old men, throwing money around for a person they never physically met in person; while, they would not lend $50 for their own family 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Love what you guys do for these poor lonely people.
This channel is the best in it's category
If someone needs a team of people to point out the painful obvious facts, they are beyond help.
Wow, the nerve of this pos scammer: You 'only' sent $100K.
I’m sorry but what kind of women think it’s a good idea to give ANY man money, let alone one you’ve never even met and who has nothing but problems???? No amount of compliments could make that okay!!!!
A man don’t ask a lady for money so wrong on all levels
He looks almost half her age
