This channel has opened my eyes to the fact that there are so many US soldiers stuck on Syrian oil rigs in Turkey who need to pay for armed security as well as broken machinery. The poor soldiers have frozen bank accounts despite having $1,000,000,000,000 in gold bars and/or inheritances. They have no money for food, and they’re too broke to pay for their kid’s hospital bills.
It’s a shame that the military just abandons these soldiers, who then must meet people on dating sites just to survive.

On Dr Phil they sometimes phone the person and you can clearly hear it's not the accent that the victim believes it to be.
I grew up in Florida and I heard the different accents from Miami to the panhandle. And not a member of the family nor acquaintances have any things close to an African accent.

I’ve come to the conclusion that women of this age (my mothers age group), have large number that have never had to be truly self reliant. Many married young and always had someone there. So they are lost when they find themselves on their own. It’s sad that they can’t enjoy their own company and independence. I was determined never to be like women of my mother’s generation and always safeguarded my independence, even in relationships. Now I’m 53 and just prefer to be on my own. I’m very comfortable in my own company. I have a great income, own my home, and just cannot be bothered looking for a relationship. I get it, people want affection. But until you can be ok on your own, you may be putting yourself in a vulnerable position.

I've had the same thought, this seems to be a generational thing. These women come from a completely different time and culture, with absurdly unrealistic fantasies in their minds, that they are going to attract some hunky internet guy, who is going to propose marriage a few weeks after first "meeting" online, and they'll have this new guy in their life, promising to take care of them. Even though their looks have long since faded away, usually way overweight, they still fantasize some incredibly handsome guy (who more often than not turns out to be gay) is going to flock to them, like when they were several decades younger.
It takes time to adjust to being alone from having someone there every day. People deal with grief differently. She wasn't in her right mind and chose an unwise way to try to deal with it. Now she has the upset of being defrauded to add to her grief. I've read advice for grieving people to avoid major decisions during the grieving period and that would include big financial decisions and relationships.
