Wow, the video was brilliant! thank you. I have a question... There is a lot of thinking about chords and I understand that it is part of the exercise and progress, but I wonder if one can think about melody (perhaps after having this already integrated), taking into account the two keys of the song?? Again, thanks a lot!
Thanks for learning with us Pablo! We will keep your suggestion in mind for future videos.

Incredible video, and very helpful. Whats your ligature for tenor?
maybe it's the Rovner Platinum ligature 😃
I like your mentor attitude and how you do the lesson slowly to make viewers undertand easly, the only thing you are playing a tenor what about alto? you are brill
Thanks for watching!
Great video, the visuals were very helpful. You’re very skilled as it takes a lot of skill to even play the arpeggios over a standard. Do you learn all tunes in every key.
Glad you enjoyed this video!
my guy is huge
Am I correct that the chart in the video is in concert C and you are playing concert C notes of the tenor? That is when the chart shows a "C," I hear a "C" and my tuner registers a "C." That's making it very difficult to play along with.a B-flat instrument. If that's not the case, please let me know. Any guidance would be appreciated. And yes, this is a great topic and demo.
Yes this is the case as we try to make our content accessible to all instrumentalists, not only saxophonists. Feel free to download the Bb version at this link: www.jazzlessonvideos.com/product-page/bb-tenor-practicing-standards-masterclass-video-pdf
Hi I went to your site with your link but I don t find the pdf « practicing standards » is it always possible to buy it or do you have something similar I can take to master the jazz standards as you explain in your video.
Thank for your answer.
Emmanuel
Are you improvising with the fill-in grids or are you fillling them in with what you already wrote?
