    Hey thanks dude. Great lesson. Bass player here.I’ve often wondered what horn players are doing to get their solo chops up to speed. These are going to sound great on the bass when I get them under my fingers. Thanks again for the exercises.

    This was SO well explained-- particularly the video's use of graphics. Love Jayden's videos, more so because the manner in which he breaks down and explains the material. Thanks so much, Jayden .

    I find it really cool how different instruments tend to have different practice exercises. Of course different instruments have different roles, but it's cool to try them all out on my instrument (violin)!

      Love that you're checking out our videos as a violin player! Thanks so much for watching!

    Great video! I'm a guitarist and these sax exercises are very challenging on guitar if you try and play them legato without picking each note. Brilliant technique builders!

    I love it. This is what I like to cal virtuoso training. If you learn a whole bunch of non-musical stuff and focus on patterns, you can "insert" them in your playing style. - peace.

    Why does the key signature show three flats, and the notation shows natural on the melodic minor scale example?

    • @madhavraghu
      @madhavraghu ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess it shows how he derives and understands melodic minor. Melodic minor comes from the natural minor which has a b3, b6, and b7, but in melodic minor the 6 and 7 are raised. The key signature there implies c natural minor, but the notes raise the 6 and 7, implying c melodic minor. You also can't have a key signature with only Eb.

      Daunting at first but once it gets into your muscle memory you will be able to glide over changes - even if slowly you will sound beautiful.
