    Copied the recipe and it tastes authentic after I adjusted it to three tablespoons of light soy sauce, two of kicap manis and one of dark soy sauce. I also added good hit of MSG.

    Was that fresh or rehydrated dried kway teow that you used? Breakfast looks inviting.

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi penny g. I used a fresh kuey teow that was kept overnight in the fridge that's why it was quite dry and hard. Yeah! the breakfast was really good and not enough to go round. 😀😀😋😋

      @@HomeCookingwithSomjit Haven't cooked fried kway teow before so need advice. Does it need a quick rinse in hot water too even though there's no alkaline taste?

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@prettycatmint4514 hi, no need to rinse as kuey teow is quite soft and oily. Rinse in hot water before frying will make it too wet and clump together so it harder to stir fry and mix it with other ingredients. Only when cooking kuey teow soup then we should cook the kuey teow first before adding the soup. kuey teow soup video is on its way. Stay tuned! 😊

    did you pre-boil or soak the dry noodles?

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @AlrightManLOL. If using dried noodles need to soak them before cooking. However, I used fresh noodles so we can use it straight away. 😀😀 Thank you for the comment :)

    omg i didnt boiled the kuey tiaw first... sad.. it taste different.. well i have a hard earn lesson.. wish i google how to prepare the kuey teow first.. haha
    2nd Attempt boiled the kueytiaw.. seems like the kuey tiaw itself have a weird flavor.. or was it me improvising too much on the seasoning.. ill have to make the same exact ingredient next time and different brand of kuey tiaw haha.. might taste the same afterwards. :)))
