    Thank you for this recipe! It turned out amazing, all I did was add sliced chicken thighs marinated lightly in soya sauce and cabbage. I put the chicken thighs first to half cook it with the garlic then took it out and put in the cabbage. After that I did everything the same as directed (chicken thighs were put back right before I put the noodles in as I wanted the noodles to marry up with the fat/juices coming out of the chicken thighs).

    Thanks so much for this recipe. It tasted delicious and the noodles/just the right texture. However it has a lot of sauce, more than is required for the recipe for 500g noodles so I increased the noodles to 750g so that we can have some leftover for tmr's lunch. I Also added a bit more beansprouts. It was quite saucy, & I found the sauce didn't stick on to the noodles so I had to thicken with 1tbsp cornstarch slurry. Is the noodles meant to be on the wetter/saucier side? Unless it could be I prefer a drier type of noodle. Other than that 👍for the recipe, seasoning and taste is perfect.

    • @spicenpans
      @spicenpans  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Lilian. If you’re using the same noodles, it could be either your fire is set too low or you haven’t cooked this long enough for the noodles to absorb the sauce. But glad to know that it all turned out well for you. Thank you so much for using our recipe.

    i remember eating Chow Mein at Central Market in Sandakan everytime i walking back after tuition. The Dish is so simple with nothing on it but The noodle itself. The cook will pile up the noodle like a tall bukit in dulang. and nothing else. Cakap nak berapa ringgit and he will took a portion of it from the top to your plate and you can makan dengan watery cili berlada. I remmber the taste really well even tho its 20 years ago. I try to but i cant replicate the taste. It has strong sesame taste but not overpowering. Its oily golden with soysauce taste. Simple yummy. i will try this recipe for breakfast pagi ni. Thanks!
