Guar gum is a bit better of a thickener/stabilizer than xanthum for cold/frozen desserts like ice cream. Xanthum gum is a thickener that's better for baked goods. And make sure to mix whatever thickener you use with one of the dry ingredients (like the powder or monk fruit or whatever) instead of dropping it right into the pint of liquids, or it will clump up and not mix in well. Also, you don't need cherry protein powder. Just use cherry extract -- and/or real cherry juice.
If you don't have protein powder and want to get the higher content, try this. crack an egg into a small jug, add a splash of milk, mix it and scramble it in the M/W, it will take 1 minute or less depending on power and allow to cool. Use 200g of cottage cheese, add the egg, vanilla, sweetener, top up with milk, mix with a stick blender. Most cottage cheese has gum in it already, so you can save money not buying that. You end up with a tad over 30 g protein. It's possible you could even use 2 eggs - I have not tried that yet. I'm sure you could do it with a boiled egg but who wants to have to shell them? Basically you get a high protein, custard like base without having to make the custard. A win win!
I am wondering if you could use these recipes but use a Cuisinart ice cream maker ? One would use the mixture right away and I suppose end up with the same sort of soft serve that usually comes out of it? Thanks!
One month ago I watched your previous Creami videos, fast forward and I just bought one at discount on Amazon (20 dollars cheaper than regular price) and waiting for it to arrive 🤤. Would be good if you try Taro icecream, I've been looking for a recipe but the ones I've found doesn't show the process like you do.
How much Xantan gum would you use if you don't have the opportunity to get a pudding mix like Jell-O because it doesn't exist in my country (Germany) -.- Great Videos very good
Making it now - trying to replace almond milk with water, because it’s like 98% water and I’m cheap 😂. I also upped the PE Science and omitted sweetner because their protein is pretty sweet. We’ll see how it goes, thanks for sharing!
@@FitFoodAE just ok. Added too many strawberries which masked the taste of the protein. I may try your exact recipe just swapping water for almond milk. My guess, it’s mostly the same, slightly icier.
The deluxe is 3 cups liquid. I generally use 1 cup coconut and 2 cups almond milks. It takes a bit of experimenting to get the dry ingredients right. I generally start with increasing by 50% then adjusting to taste.

For the cheesecake, you could use the pudding cheesecake flavor. It's super good and I use it in a lot of my recipes
Yuuum I’ve actually never seen that haha

Xanthan gum!
