[4K] F-35 Full Afterburner on wet runway - SPRAY Take Offs at Leeuwarden

- Here is my first video recording in 2024.
As a well-considered choice, I drove to Leeuwarden early in the morning during cold and rainy weather. I hoped that the afterburner would be used by the F-35 Lightning II during takeoff over a wet runway and thereby create spray. I was lucky that the Afterburners were used, but the lighting conditions were quite challenging, so my camera focus did not always cooperate well. And the last shot was the truck parking completely in the frame. All in all, I'm glad I took this shot on my last day of vacation during bad weather. Best wishes to everyone for 2024.

I was in Cuijk this afternoon and a F35 did a very low fly by. It might be one of these! I guess it was turning for landing at Volkel. Great catch.

Thanks for watching Ian 👍😊. We have also some flooding almost over here in the Netherlands. The problem is not only the rain over here but also the rain in Belgium, Germany and Switserland is a problem because the rivers Rijn and Maas. Greetings and thumbs up.
Hallo. Ze vlogen volgens mij van de korte baan af. Ik zie de F35 nu ook voor het eerst met de na verbrander aan! Ik was op de oost kant van Leeuwarden aan het werk, in de Eikstraat, maar wat een lawaai! Ik moest op een gegeven moment de vingers in de oren doen, zo ging het te keer! Ik woon zelf in Stiens, ben wel wat gewend want ze vliegen bij mij over de tuin heen als ze landen maar zo erg had ik het nog niet gehoord!
Deze takeoff was vanaf baan 05 dat is de hoofdbaan, ik ben niet lang hierna gebleven weet daarom niet of ze misschien wel op de korte baan zijn geland. Een prettig weekend 😊

Thanks for taking the time and the effort. The result is pretty good. Don't worry about it. There are no F-16's on Leeuwarden any more, but I hope you still get a chance to catch them on camera in the last year of their service for the RNAF. Still no idea how the airforce will say goodbye to this great fighter. Do you know how many F-35's have been delivered sofar?
Yes I will visit Volkel sometimes for filming the last RNLAF F-16 this year. For as far as I know the last delivered F-35 is the F-035.. Thanks for watching and have a good weekend 👍😊
