- 6 F-35C Lightning II's from VMFA-314 Black Knights MCAS Miramar.
Full afterburner takeoffs from sunset to dark at NAF El Centro.
The landing gear is left down as they all do multiple touch and goes to simulate carrier landings at night. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
I’ll never get tired of hearing that afterburner crackle
Sounds like Rice Krispies.

Not only is it an incredible sunset but then add in those awesome burner take off!! Nothing and I mean nothing with one engine sounds anything like the F-35s!!! What a beast!! Great capture!
Yeah they are a beast in full burner, thunderous roar!
Team Miramar!
Gotta love hearing the popping from the afterburner.
Thanks for always uploading quality content. I’m sure it’s tough traveling around and getting it. It’s appreciated.
Another classic. I'm still rocking out to the "Cool The Engines" video I found here about 16 years ago. Great to see you have been going strong for so many years!
I just recently found out that MCAS Miramar has activated its second Navy F-35C Squadron, which is stellar. I can't help but feel Fighter Town USA vibes from this. ✌️💯🔥😎🇺🇲
That’s great to hear about MCAS Miramar adding another Squadron! I drive the I-15 past it frequently. Love those touch and goes!
@@JusticeLeagueJH thank you! I’ll look up your channel and subscribe! Choose freedom!🇺🇸
" MCAS Miramar has activated its second Navy F-35C Squadron"(sic)
There are no Navy F-35C squadrons at Miramar. VMFA-314 and VMFA-311 are Marine Corps F-35C squadrons not Navy.
I seen the new squadron at El Centro a few days ago. Beautiful bird.
@@airshowbros That's awesome. Strike Fighter Squadron 311, The Tomcats. The F-35 is a beautiful machine, powered by the dynamic P&W F-135 Engine.
They come thru often at our Base and sooooo LOUD!!!!!!!! Love em
Beautiful, love those formation lights.
Fantastic video!!! Love the F35C with the big wing & chunky gear!
Killer video. You do what I used to do all the years that I was an El Centro fanatic. I’d sit there from dawn to after dusk. Great work.
Thanks! You're one of my OG followers!
@@spencerhughes2255keep up the amazing work brother! I enjoy seeing all the awesome stuff I can’t witness myself!
Stunning catch Spencer. Awesome!
Great Video, thanks for sharing
Absolutely Incredible
Very interesting video to see. Anytime I would go down to San Diego area I would stop by off of on Harris Plant Rd and would watch the 35's take off with full afterburners at night. Really cool to see an actual video from them taking off up close. Really good video!
Great video! The afterburners were great to watch and that sky! 👍🏻
Beautiful footage! Love the afterburners!
The Black Knights are in town from MCAS Miramar. Dude, this is awesome, as all of your content really is. I look forward to you and Mike keeping everyone up to speed with your productions. This is fantastic. The Charlie is a beauty!! That afterburner, damn!!! 🤩🔥🌀🇺🇲
*Beautiful 🔥*
amazing footage spencer. Miss being out there with you guys filming winter training for the blues and all the other traffic that passes through El Centro
Excellent footage!
I love the TRON like lights on these jets fn awesome!!!
Nice vid Spencer! Catching the bats in action! 🤙🏻
Beautiful
Powerful and beautiful , thank you so much for sharing
Jets and afterburners during twilight always make me feel good.
Nice love that jet the badass jet
Very proud of our service members and the excellent work they for us. Thank You. And 🇺🇸🗽❤️💪
Dang things are like a rocket sled! Nice video especially with the sunset.
finally seeing F35 with long and watchable afterburner, I thought the thrust was build deeper to conceal the afterburner and maintaining the stealth status
Insane Mach Discs!
Heck yeah!
Awesome clips Bro!!
Bro 🔥🔥🔥
That is amazing
Wicked video dude 😈😎👽
I live a few miles from Miramar and sunset ops is a cool thing.....hard to not be distracted on the I-15.
These are very loud jets and the plane was built around the engine......which is massive.
Awesome that 👍👍
This Aircraft is a beast!!!
Epic!
Beautiful plane ❤
The F 35 has to be the loudest single engine fighter I have ever known
the carrier variant of the f35 is the nicest looking one in my opinion.
Love me some battle penguin action. 🐧
Impressive how much fuel is just dumped into that afterburner, that's quite a fire.
I guess the afterburner is shutting off in 2000 feet, damn NICE.
213,5 kN max at take off, this single engine is absolutely unmatched in military
1000 are built now... The Block 4 upgrade will be legit!
OMG THE F35 IS A GOD
0:34 that pilot is thinking "I have the best job in the entire world"
Great sillouette capture at 2:00. min

Feel the burn.
Loudest fighter jet in the world.
That would be the XF-84 Thunderscreech which is powered by a turboprop. The F-35 isn’t anywhere near as loud as the XF-84 which legit made ppl have seizures and shook the air traffic control tower so hard that some of their equipment was malfunctioning. It was also able to be heard 25 miles away while taxiing. For example, you can only hear an F-35 taking off in full AB about 13-18 miles if the conditions are right. Now imagine the noise when the XF-84 goes full throttle
Sounds like a Space Shuttle when it gets in Afterburner
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
RAAF Williamstown had to extend the runway so the F35As could takeoff without afterburners because of the noise complaints
Hey I’m visiting San Diego in a couple weeks and I want to go see the F-35s or F-18s at Miramar. How do you know when they are taking off or doing exercises and stuff? Like is there a schedule or basic hours that they fly or certain days? Thanks!
At 1:38 what's the vertical plume of hot exhaust from like it looks like its in between the vertical fins?
El motor f135 deberá de ser mejorado y modernizado 😮😮😮😮
Was this at Nellis AFB?
Why turn on the afterburner only when taking off?
Isn't that a lot of fuel consumption?
Is it impossible to take off without turning on the afterburner when taking off?
314 squadron is Marine Corps. I didn't know the Marines had the "C" variant F-35's! I thought they only had the "B".
Romantic love yankee candle
Amazing how quickly they come out of the burner on takeoff. Is there a noise ordinance or something? 😉
No external fuel tanks...need to maximize the internal fuel. Even though they're only heading back to 'San Diego' from El Centro (I'm assuming)...those enormous engines in AB would suck the internals dry VERY quickly.
@@jaysonpida5379 It's probably also a testament to just how powerful the F135 engine is in mil power.
It’s standard Navy fighter ops. You will notice all afterburning Navy AC do this and it’s for the reason the guy above you mentioned. In the Air Force you can always count on a huge tanker and multiple places to land so they are more liberal with the AB.
Shot with the X1500 here?
this is why we pay taxes but i love fighter jets
NAF el centro?
Is this the cRaptor?
Left the gear down...they doing some testing or pattern practice?
Touch and goes.
Those green stripes are light? or reflective?
Nevermind XD
Is that a C looks like big wingspan
Yes.
Save those engines! Keep the burners at a minimum lol😅
I wonder why they are not retracting their landing gear after takeoff.
Info in the description.
Why does this f35s look dirty and needs wash or does the air force clean jets
Why do they leave the gear down so long?
They did touch and goes straight after.
Why aren't they retracting their landing gear?
They all did “touch and goes” after takeoff.
We have never thought we didn’t have enough performance in the Lightening. More power than we initially thought we would get.
GO NAVY............
Marine air!
Strange how all those aircraft took considerable time before retracting their landing gear. I'm sure the maintenance guys weren't happy about that.
I was thinking same thing, and even though they come out of reheat, I wonder if the speed nonetheless adds to overstressing the gear
They immediately did “touch and go’s” after launch.
Landings are more abusive on those landing gears than take offs. Even at long strip like a Nellis, the Navy and Marine land with the equivalent of controlled crash. Air Force landings are silky smooth with the front wheel staying up in the air for a very long time before kissing the tarmac
Flying the pattern.
And his other job at home is on his new lawnmower 🎉 Honey how was your day? Great take out the trash, check the kids ok cuz the dryer is buzzing. [flying is much better]
An F15 gets airborne from full stop in 13 seconds. This plane seems like a disabled child compared to that.
Noteworthy that landing gears are not retracted after take off
They all started doing “touch and go’s” after launch.
@@spencerhughes2255 ok, clear, in my country the Netherlands the F-35s do raise landing gear between touch and go's
Nice job .
That's $80M per unit with an hourly operating cost of over $70,000. Look what having no healthcare gets you.
