Wow- I’m on day one of Phentermine. Around 5:30am, I took a half of pill per my doctors instruction- to make sure that there were no side effects. Almost immediately it kicked in. I tried to go back to sleep for an hour before work, I couldn’t. Felt like I wanted to get up and do jumping jacks. My stomach felt a bit weird for a moment- Iike a stomach ache was coming on- but it never did. I went to work and wasn’t hungry the entire day. I forced myself to eat half a vegan burger around 3pm, but just couldn’t finish it. I didn’t think anything of it. Got home around 7pm- wasn’t hungry. It’s now 9pm and I just realized that I really haven’t eaten today. Just forced down a protein shake and I barely could swallow it. Appetite is GONE. That’s what brought me here. Now I see that it’s an effect of the medicine. My doctor didn’t tell me this. She only told me that it would give me energy. Crazy- I only took half a pill…
I’m getting on this Thursday as a bigger girl I’m excited I’m 23 with a 8 month old and a 2 year old and I decided to go on depo which was dumb because my appetite is so bigggggg!!! Hopefully I can drop some pounds on Phentermine
Good info doctor. It definitely helped me with my appetite, but I made sure not to depend on it. I work out and eat well. Got off it and still losing weight. It was a temporary aid to jumpstart my process of slimming down. I tell people all of the time, there is no magic pill. It is mostly in diet 80%, 20% exercise.

Some people react inversely to drugs, i.e. Benadryl is a sedative but makes some people wired.

I’ve been on semaglutide since 02/17 and only lost 3 lbs thus far. The NP suggested phentermine to aid in the process so we shall see how this goes.
