    Bro thank you so much for this. I sat at my computer all day last Sunday researching this. I have a 23 Corolla Hatchback XSE with the upgraded JBL system.
    I have a 1,000 watt JL Audio amp, a JL Audio W3 12 4ohm and a ported enclosure coming in tomorrow from Crutchfield. Also in the shipment is JL Audio RCA to speaker wire hook ups. Like you, I DO NOT want to deface anything on my brand new car. So throughout my research I found out that there is a wiring harness that you plug the JBL amp plug into then plug the harness plug back into the JBL amp and it has all the wires you can tap into. It's called PAC APH-TY02 wiring harness.
    Thank you so much for this vid. I know exactly which wires to tap into and not too take my seat completely out like I was going to.
    I was like "Where the hell was this video the other day when I was searching"? Then I seen you just posted this a few days ago. I appreciate this for real l man. Not all heros wear capes!!

      How did that ty02 harness work for you? I’m in the same boat with the jbl corolla.

      What is this PAC harness you’re talking about? What is the purpose of it? I also have a GR Corolla and am about to install my sound system like this guy but if there is a healthier or better connection that would be preferred. I’m kind of new to wiring car audio. 😂

      @@brandonortiz5451 It worked fine. If I had to do it over again I would use a inline converter and tap in to the back of the head unit (this is the best & efficient way) or take it to a professional. I was moments away from that myself trying to get the power lead through the firewall. Using the PAC harness worked well for what I want.
      Sorry I took so long to answer but I could type on this subject forever lol There's so much I could type I was dreading even trying to respond. Even this comment probably isn't much help but at least I answered your question....... It works fine lol

    Hey man really appreciate you doing this for our platform. Such a pain finding info since everything is so new! That Ice Cap color looks great on camera. Have a supersonic red myself. Enjoy it!

    That kicker thing is called an LOC. Line Out Converter. I used the LC2i for my install. You have more control of the voltage output for the voltage input to your amp. But, great video

      Would an lc2i be able to control the bass output independently to the sub ? I find that the bass is too loud drowning out the music at the lowest setting using the method shown in the video

    Thanks for the great video. Really appreciate all the details that you have shared here.
    Quick question on why you didn't connect the wires to the Woofer output. You did say that the head unit would not have setting to control the woofer, however doesn't the woofer come with a separate remote to control the level. or did the output did not have audio signal at all.

    I have a JBL sound system in my Corolla 2023 XSE that includes an 8 inch sub so I connected to those woofer connections 8/23 & 10/25. It cancels my speakers, I hear no sound, and the power indictor light on the Kicker LOC turns off, but the radio still comes on. I disconnected my aftermarket amp, and now everything works again. Should I try different connections?

    Jordan, what is your source for Toyota OEM gaskets for a FJ40?

    Just did this install and at minimum bass settings on my jbl remote my sub is still pretty loud . Would an lc2 help me get lower bass ?

    Lc2i off the rear speaker best way to go but does cost a little more

    • @mrREVbud
      @mrREVbud 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Can you explain a little more ? What's the benefits of doing running an lc2i and tapping off the rear speakers?

    • @sdrtech
      @sdrtech 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@mrREVbud The main reason is that you dont have to run long rca 's to the back and another reason in some cars the rears utilize lower frequencies to the rears. The kicker loc is a nice choice to if you get the full low spectrum at full volume

    You ever have issues with not having any sound at all...but every once in a while it will turn on and sound with work. Looks like the line out converter is not always turning on either. Checked ground and wireing. Super strange

    • @wardmedia5050
      @wardmedia5050 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say replace your ground... if that doesn't work, replace the amp. I had this issue in a previous car of mine, could be a faulty line out as well

    Did you quit making videos?

  • @acalora123
    @acalora123 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Why are you using a line level converter? You are tapping off the high voltage outputs of the amp when you could just tap off the line level inputs of the amp. Then you wouldn't need the line level converter.

      Hey I just found this video and am about to do the same thing on my Gr Corolla. Could you explain a little more what you mean about that? Or what harm or disadvantages this could cause please?

    • @sdrtech
      @sdrtech หลายเดือนก่อน

      Newer vehicles have digital inputs going in the amplifier and loc's can not decode them. I really like the Lc2i's because they can accept up to 400 watts to the inputs
