I binged this literally last night. It’s a cool retelling with their own twist on the events. Not 100% faithful, but if you’re a Tekken fan this was amazing
The anime is based on tekken 3 story, although they change some of the game story to fit more into the changes tekken 7 did as well, so basically this will be the new canon lore for tekken 3 Ogre story was that he was looking for strong fighters to steal their soul, he was nicknamed both in and out of the story as God of Fighting Jun fate according to the one in charge of the series says, Harada, says her status is missing only, so she isnt said to be dead, even when Ogre teleported there, she was still holding on his arm, unless Ogre can teleport without bringing others holding to him, she is still left with the missing status regarding her fate, they dont show a body or anything either, Jin even points out where she was, much like in the games we dont know what happened after Jin got knocked unconscious WWWC is a work place Jun at which she worked for, some environmental type iirc, her story in tekken 2 was to go put a stop to Kazuya doing evil stuff when he was the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu conglomerate, somehow they had an intimate relationship, which is kept vague, we dont know what happened, especially since Kazuya as of recently is made out as being evil beyond salvation, might say it was a 1 night thing or maybe he had genuine feelings, we arent told clearly Also Jun acts like that and says all this to Jin so he doesnt become corrupted and goes on the wrong path like his father Kazuya, as annoying as it may come off perhaps from it, she means it for the best Heihachi also according to the games needed from Ogre his dna and such, we dont know further what would that be for, later needs the devil gene too for that, so Jin is basically the bait to lure Ogre out for him, Heihachi trains him only for his plans of world domination
Ok so... Heihachi doesnt have The Devil Gene because the Devil Gene started with Kazuya's mother Kazumi, she met Heihachi and had Kazuya, which is how Kazuya inherited the gene... Then during the events of TEKKEN 2, Kazuya met Jun Kazama, and they had Jin, and Kazuya passed it down to Jin Jinpachi didn't have The Devil Gene... Harada (The creator of TEKKEN) stated that Jinpachi was just possessed by an evil spirit, completely seperate from The Devil Gene

Oh and forgot, Leroy is in this just cuz his character overall was a huge success as a new character added in Tekken 7, the other new ones received meh reception, Leroy had a positive one, big one, new fans would be familiar with him if they picked up that game Not gonna spoil what he does here, but his role is small, as it should be, plus they give him a reason why he doesnt return until the 7th game
@@wasabi5338 Lidia story doesnt fit tekken 3 era, she enters in cuz of the war going since tekken 6 to tekken 7 with Heihachi not moving his forces from her country, as well as telling her basically if she wants it her way, she ahould catch these hands in the tournament Leroy at least has a backstory of revenge which doesnt stick to the main game events, plus what happens in the anime ties to a detail from the game
