Jensen Ackles did a perfect job voicing Jason Todd a.k.a. Red Hood
Yup. Its why he keeps showing up in Batman content, including being the new voice for the tomorrow verse movies
Ya damn right he did. Told a friend to look up trailer for when this came out and they said this was insane he’s not much of a DC guy
@@TheBigKaiju let's start a petition campaign to get him to play a live action batman

Ironically, this movie along with Young Justice is one of the few times we get Jason Todd animated.
He’s in the newest film too. Also why is the crew so quick to thumb down new stuff. Starting on young justice made them downplay good Batman films. Good is great and knight wing is great and can beat the hood.
Same voice actor for Batman in both, Bruce Greenwood

Yeah he’s great
Come to think of it, there haven't been a whole lot of bad casting for people in The Joker role (Leto being the exception).
One of the more sinister Jokers I think
Leto isn't a bad joker we hardly got to see him play him. If given more screen time he would of killed it.
Their brains are constantly pushing out information lol. Forgetting Amazo is hilarious
The killing of the 2nd Robin, Jason Todd in the comics was actually voted on by fans.
DC admitted it was a mistake. because they didn't have a system in place to regulate voting. So there were confirmed cases of people voting several dozen times to hundreds of times to kill him. Some people even came out and stated they didn't even want Jason to die, just that they wanted to as fans, have an impact on the comic book universe.
Yeah, it was actually Edge Lords who killed Jason Todd.
Dark..but did wonders for his character ngl
So the fans are the ones who are truly psychotic who knew 😮
@@TsuriaDragon its just a comic man
No, Ra's al Ghul never trained Bruce Wayne. That was only in Batman Begins. Canonically, Brue didn't meet Ra's until he had already been Batman for several years.
An unfortunate Mandela Effect that has taken place since that movie has come out. Now every proverbial “normie” associates Ra’s Al Ghul and the League of Shadows with training Bruce to become Batman. Even though it’s as you said, he didn’t encounter them until well into his years of already being Batman.
@@ShardSpyder Well said. I know the majority of people don't read comics (or in general), but the passionate fan in me can't help but get annoyed whenever I hear so many casuals (for lack of a better term) get comic lore blatantly wrong and act like it's fact.
Yup Ras was just smart enough to figure out his identify. He did train with many masters around the world who maybe has Ras as a friend who knows lol
Yeah that sucks
Depends on the continuity tbh
You’ve seen all 5 Robins in Young Justice.
Dick, Jason, Tim, Stephanie, and Damien.
No way would they catch Jason or Daimien in that show.
Do they know Stephanie was a robin? I missed that.

John Dimaggio is an amazing Joker. I was hesitant at first when I heard that Bender would be Joker, but he did a brilliant job. To be fair, the Joker does have similar troll qualities that Bender has 😂. Dimaggio delivers a much more understated and chilling performance as the Joker that I was thoroughly impressed.
Agreed though most Joker casting is pretty good. Even the Kevin Michael Richardson's Joker in 2004 "The Batman" animated series brought something new and unique to the role despite his version being different than what the viewer was accustomed to at the time.
@@chaost4544
Yeah he was good too. The design took a while to get used to, but it grew on me. Kevin Michael Richardson is everywhere. Pretty sure he voice acts the voice in my head alongside Troy Baker, Nolan North, and Laura Bailey 😂
I was lucky enough to meet him at a comic con and he signed a Joker poster and he did the "i'm gonna need some guys.." line and the laugh it was awesome
people forget that joker is a criminal and crime lord. He was like that back in bronze and silver era comics. You need to mix the insanity with crime lord stuff and being gangster and having guns and lives.
Nightwing both can and has beaten Red Hood.
Nightwing is the only Robin that can truely say he is Batman's equal since he has gone toe to toe with and defeated a Batman that wasn't holding back.
Everybody loves emo red hood and assassin damian wayne..but Dick Grayson is my 3rd fav DC Character just after batman and superman..his arc truly makes him his own character
everyone forgets that Batman is a master marksman and firearms expert that's why he is able to disassemble guns from criminals.

I came here specifically to say this. Episode 5
Yep. "Access Black Canary. Access Superman."
And in S2 Red Volcano was collecting his parts and there was the whole "no head" joke when he couldn't find his head.
That was so long ago. Ain't no way they would remember
They forget a lot.
Fun fact: In the comics, Jason did lose pretty badly to Nightwing during the Battle for the Cowl. It was mainly spurred on by Jason, making Dick think he had killed Tim and Dick getting angry enough to use killing moves. Pre-New52 Nightwing was so overprotective of Tim and Damian that he was known to lose control and toe the "no killing" line.
the old nightwing was a player, who fucked so many women but they did change it. It seems like 90s and 2000s era of DC males, fucking all the women. I know now they changed with some female characters having sex with other males or females and we got some gay male characters.
😮
In my opinion, Jason's jealousy of Dick has always been one of his weaknesses. And Dick uses it against him.
O that was an awesome fight.
@@DANTE83100 True! Quite a few people don't realize Nightwing isn't always this happy go lucky angel in the comics. He was pretty cold with Jason Todd at times and had to do some growing up himself. I think after he took the cowl, he started making more of an effort with Jason, but by then, it was too little too late.
For the little story...DC run a poll in 1988 with the fan to decide if Jason Todd would be killed or saved...The fans voted to killed him and only 72 votes made the difference, which lead to a Death in the Family story. Jason Todd was very divisive in the fandom, being from different background and being less emphatic than Dick Grayson. Some says, if they did the poll again, he would have survive today, in 1988 the DC phone line was filled with angry fan of the decision...Do you think they did right ?
Jason was 16 when he died, and yes he's still out their doing his own thing. All of the robins have been through a lot but Bruce and Jason later reconcile in the comics
Which I still think is some bullshit, given the shit Bruce puts him through
The events in this movie get referenced on and off throughout S4 in some shape form or fashion so it’s kinda timely you guys are watching this before S4
Not really. The only thing that happened is that Jason Todd got murdered and resurrected by Ra's al Ghul. He's not the same character.

Black Mask’s mask was accidentally burned fused to his face, he literally can’t remove it.
You know something, I always considered Bucky Barnes to be the Marvel version of Jason Todd. In the comics he was Captain America's sidekick instead of his best friend.
I think that’s the general comparison comic fans make
Both were brought back at the same time in the comics too.

The dark knight returns part 1 and 2 are also great
@@JonNelson523 great adaptation of the comic, though I prefer part II over part I.
It's in my top five. Mask of the Phantasm is my favorite animated Batman films.
Superman vs The Elite is another really good animated film that tackles the same idea about heroes not killing but with Superman. That's worthy of a reaction as well as other dc animated films.
I know people are going to recommend Flashpoint Pardox and everything that comes after that because they all share a continuity. However, people tend to overlook and not react to the stuff that comes before flashpoint other than this film because it's so popular. So here are my recommendations:
Wonder Women 2009
Superman vs The Elite
The Dark Knight Returns part 1 and 2
Green Lantern First Flight
Batman vs Ninja Turtles
Justice League Doom
Justice League crisis on two earths
Batman Assault on Arkham
Batman Superman public enemies
Batman Superman apocalypse
Don’t forget Batman Year One which is part of the same timeline as TDKR I and II. Along with the Catwoman short.
But I highly agree. Especially on watching Superman vs The Elite. So few reactors have watched it, and it’s arguably Superman’s best animated film. All Star has some great scenes, but it struggles as a complete narrative having cut a lot of some of the best stuff from the comic, so that it pales in comparison to the comic, whereas The Elite expands and improves on most of its comic counterpart.
Shoot, I’d even add Green Lantern Emerald Knights. I know it’s in a different universe as First Flight, despite using the same animation to save money. But it has some of the best GL stories.
O I love that movie too. And I keep forgetting the name but the superman versus doomsday movie where it's not exactly canon accurate or it's 1 movie as opposed to 2 and he looks like old superman versus the new 52 one
They should totally react to The Dark Knight Returns.
Joker still being alive is on the authorities… or just any random civilian that doesn’t shoot him on sight.
That’s kinda the problem when he’s crazy and funny but also written to just be an absolute murder machine, that is constantly killing everybody.
The script for the movie is by the original comic writer Judd Winick. Which is the reason Jason’s return to life gets explained easily (yet still comic trope-y)with the Lazarus pit, instead of evil Superboy Prime punching reality so hard he would bring back people back to life unintentionally.
Nightwing would definitely take down Jason, he lacks Bruce’s ruthlessness but he’d manage.
Amazo was in Young Justice season 1.
Let’s be honest other criminals would have killed the Joker by now. This movie we saw how easily a criminal lord can pay off the right people to allow their people to come in and break the Joker out. It wouldn’t be that hard for one of them to get people in there and shot him in the head when he is in a straight jacket.
I have no issues if Batman’s reasoning for killing is he personally isn’t sure he would stop at one. I like when writers acknowledge Batman probably isn’t mentally stable and maybe having him decide who lives and dies isn’t a wise decisions. I will take that over Batman God who can do anything and everything and never once falters.
@@Jjop017I agree
I disagree on the Authorities being responsible for Joker.
If Batman or by extension any superhero in MARVEL/DC comics ISNT getting arrested for Vigilante justice and are actually supported by cops and government agencies, they are by extension the AUTHORITIES as well.
If they have the Green light to make arrests on criminals, why is it such a stretch when people ask why aren't they allowed to kill in extreme situations?
@@Jjop017 For real. Most of Batman's villains hate the Joker's guts.
Yeah, the writers will keep Joker alive and active by any means necessary because he's popular. Realistically, Joker is dead 100 times. There's no way Batman wouldn't spend resources as Bruce Wayne to make Joker locked away for good with amazing security. It makes Batman look ridiculous that Joker constantly escapes only to murder thousands. It should be difficult for villains to escape prison. Kingpin being locked up and taking an entire season to escape prison in Daredevil is impactful. Arkham Asylum being a revolving door is ridiculous.
"We never saw a body" "What was his goal of bringing him back"
Navi's memory is getting worse 😭😂
God forbid she ever just admits to being wrong or not listening.
This is the first dc movie where I realized what could happen
Great discussion guys, and not killing is pretty much Batman whole ideology. I do feel there is a zero tolerance for Justice League members not killing any villains even in self defense. Remember in Young Justice how quickly everyone turn on Brion after he kill his uncle.
1:11:50 Just in case you may have forgot: We saw a glimpse of this in YJ Season 3 Episode 6 after Brion, Halo, and Forager attack Ra's al Ghul. As the team is leaving with Dick Grayson.
You don't understand, in Batman begins Batman said he's "not an executioner", which is a big distinction and here he says "it'd be too easy". When he looks at the Joker he sees what he can become, with all the darkness he deals with and all the power he has, he can become just like Joker if not worse. If he decides to be the Executioner, he ceases to be a warrior of Justice, then the symbol of the Batman is gone and he will be just another corrupt blight on Gotham. He cannot allow the symbol of the Batman be sullied by the smog of darkness that plagues his beloved city.
Exactly. He’d be no different than any other thug with a gun. Killing Joker because he “deserves it” is such a flimsy argument, because who will “deserve” it next time?
i'm surprised yall didn't recognize Cheshire's voice actress as black mask's assistant. fun trivia: the apartment room (background) jason gets jumps into was reused as Red Arrow's apartment in YJ season 2 episode 4.
In one universe, Joker pulls one hell of a prank on Superman 😅
Batman believes in the system. Gotham wants Batman to kill Joker so their hands are clean. If they really wanted Joker dead that bad, he'd get the death penalty. They just want someone else to do it so they don't have to deal with the personal consequences.
Ironically, there are stories where Bruce himself abolished the death penalty.
I am not a lawyer. What I'm about to say may be wrong. Confer with an American criminal lawyer.
To my knowledge, the American legal system cannot kill someone who is declared legally insane. They can put Joker on death row. They can't execute him until he is declared legally sane. The American legal system is perfectly designed to leave Joker alive.
Every time a criminal is arrested, by law, they must have their day in court. Even if it's obvious that they're guilty, they will have a trial of some kind. A lawyer will be provided to them if they don't already have one. The lawyer, by law, must provide the best legal defense possible. The only legal defense the Joker can claim is insanity. Can you honestly claim that the Joker is NOT insane? That he is without question of sound mind? This is why he ends up in Arkham.
This is the reasoning I come back to as well. If killing Joker is indeed the right thing to do, why is that Batman's responsibility?
Exactly. You might as well ask why doesn’t every random citizen with a gun just shoot Joker, or Harley or Ivy in the street at that point. It’s not on Batman if the criminal Justice system fails to deal with Joker.
@@ShardSpyder it is if he knows the justice system is shit
20:36 Marketa “because he’s robin” I thought she 200 IQed it for a second
I like this ending better than the comic. In the comic, Batman threw the blade at Jason's throat and saved the Joker. It makes more sense for him to save Jason since he's family.
And you know, not actively trying to save the worthless life of an unrepentant psychopath.
“How many years has Batman been doing this?” A long time. He adopted Dick a little while after his family was murdered and trained him to be Robin after he kept sneaking out trying to find his family’s killer. After Dick grew up and eventually left Gotham Batman came across Jason in a bad part of the city after he had stripped the tires off the Batmobile in the short time Batman was gone and took him a bit later. Tim figured out Batman and Nightwing’s identities on his own and was convinced Batman needed a Robin at his side (he did) and was basically given the role by Dick and Alfred. After that my limited knowledge becomes more limited as we get Barbara (Batgirl), Stephanie (Spoiler), Cassandra the GOAT (Orphan), Kate (Batwoman), and even more than them. The Bat Family was fucking large
Going by the this film's isolated continuity, Black Mask took control of Gotham organised crime 20 years ago, so Batman has likely been operating for that long.
Why would I expect them to remember something so basic. Dont call yourselves young justice fans
Lol. Navi was so short-sighted. You can't make an exception for just the Joker. If you murder him, anyone who's suffered under the hands of any other villains can easily make a valid argument that their villain also deserves the same treatment. Plus, if you kill the Joker off, someone else will just take his place (and it could easily be someone far worse) or it could even result to a vacuum as these different villains try to outdo each other and take his spot.
The only thing that killing Joker does is satisfy your desire for vengeance but it won't change things as much as you think. Lastly, every shitty habit starts with just one, like how a lot smokers out there started out just telling themselves they'll only try one cigarette but then succumb because it gets easier as you do it,
Well said.
Exactly
Dark Knight Returns part 1 and 2 next please
Navi this close to holding Suraj at Gunpoint and tossing a gun to Chris.
Superboy Prime is from "our reality". He reads Superman comics based on the other DC universes. It is confusing but DC created our reality as Prime Earth. He is first introduced during Crisis on Infinite Earths which has been made into 4 movies. That is a deep dive into the DC universe. Some of you may like it.
This is definitely in my top 3 DC animated films. Y’all gotta watch more like The Dark Knight Returns, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, Crisis on Two Earths, Batman: The Long Halloween etc.
Ra’s typically knows Batman is Bruce. Unclear if the YJ version does, I think. Also the use of the Lazarus Pit. It hasn’t appeared on screen in YJ but it was implied. He got impaled in S2 then came back just fine. And it did appear in the comics bridging the first two seasons
Using the Lazarus Pit for resurrection is not recommended. Something something unnatural, something something can’t bring back someone 100% so madness replaces what’s missing.
Black Mask’s face situation varies across iterations. Regular mask, mechanical mask, mask got melted onto his face or something similar leaving him looking like that permanently.
Resurrected Jason was all but explicitly confirmed in YJ S3. A league ninja recognizes the name Grayson, Ra’s says he’s getting his memories back, and he’s credit as Red Hooded Ninja
Jason was _not_ liked when he was Robin. That’s why he was voted to be killed off.
YJ Ra's knows... that is a cannon event across media actually. I mean all of the key members of the Light know who all of the heroes are.. their "nuclear option" is killing their families
Ra’s definitely knows in YJ,
Bruce Greenwood not only voices Batman in this he also voices Batman in Young Justice!
Happy Bruce is great though thats the point of him he surrounds himself with family and kids he brings in
Though Jason was a sweet kid as Robin contrary to what people think. He was just a little nerd.
Nightwing is the third best fighter out of the Batfamily behind Cassandra Cain/Batgirl then Bruce. But just watching the DC cartoons you wouldn’t know cause they hate him
He's arguably the 2nd best. He's beat Bruce before and other times he's fought but not straight up won, Bruce STRUGGLED to best him.
This movie is spectacular. The animation is so smooth, clean, and crisp, I would love to see more animated films or a show in this style.
The action is fantastic, I feel like we don't see to many Batman fights where he utilizes a lot of gadgets this way, as opposed to just swinging around Bater-rangs.
The dialogue is great and memorable, and the voice acting is terrific 😎.
Firstly, the Joker continuously escaping is not Batman's fault, it's the fault of Gotham's penitentiary system not being competent enough to secure their inmates. Secondly, a lot of times, the villains escape due to the flat out corruption of the system itself (as shown in this movie where corrupt prison guards enabled the Joker to escape). If Gotham's Justice system itself can't honor their own rules (as shown with their corruption), Batman breaking his rule would effectively make Gotham lawless and completely corrupt, as no agent of Justice in the town (vigilante or otherwise) would be following any rules or higher law. Without a higher law, fighting the villains (who break the law) would become hypocritical.
If Batman went around killing all his villians not only would this create a tyrant but the villians would also evolve to become something even worse than before
Still a great action packed and emotional film, love it.
1:05:42 A Superboy, who went bad, punched a reality wall that caused timeline retons. 2006 was a crazy time.
47:49 Nightwing is canonically the best hand to hand fighter amongst the Robins and even beat Batman in a no holds barred fist fight. He also has defeated Red Hood multiple times. Jason cannot win a fight without some stupid plan sorry.
This means nothing because in the past 6 years in DC comics, Jason has beaten Nightwing a few times. Sometime around the Cheer line storyline he beats him and Tim. “Canonically” means absolutely nothing because it’s constantly changing. Also NW a better hand to hand fighter than all the robins would be true if we are talking about teenage Tim, Jason, and Damian. But as adults?? Doubt it
Nightwing is the best canon means something and stupid writers trying to even the odds most probably. Nightwing is way more gifted in fighting and stuff than the rest due to his carnie background
@@nic558 Tim and Damian aren't canonically adults (Tim is weird age wise tbh) and no Jason isn't beating him consistently without getting the jump on him.
Tim is like the weakest robin combat wise so idek why u brought him up
@@Karthig1987 like Damian as an adult will eclipse him and everyone knows that but until then Dick stomps him. That's been more or less accepted
Actually, there IS a direct connection between Under the Red Hood and Young Justice - Bruce Greenwood plays Batman in both of them.
"I don't have to save you either" is only a Nolan line. Batman has always saved his villains, because that's the right thing to do. Also, why does everyone want Batman to kill? You know what that is? That's The Punisher. Go watch him if you want to see a Batman who murders without qualms.
In comics Nightwing has never lost a fight to Red Hood no matter what the scenario is. because often times usually in comics he's comparable to Batman. The only time the fight is usually even is when Nightwing is not a trying to fight him order bee not fighting to his full who is full capacity
The key problem with the “Batman isn’t a part of the system” argument is that more often than not he is.
Either he’s a member of the Justice League, which is officially recognised by at least the US government, KR he worked directly with Commissioner Gordon and the GCPD.
Why do people stay living in terrible cities in the real world?
Good point. But Gotham isn't all bad. It's got a lot of crime, sure. But the economy is very strong, as Gotham is canonically one of the centers of American trade. So there is money, and half a city makes a decent chunk of it.
I have few complaints about this movie, but one definite one is how they toned down what made Bruce upset at Jason. He didn't break some guy's collarbone - in the comic Jason as Robin is implied to have shoved a serial rapist off a building to his death because he had attacked a girl Jason knew, and that girl ended herself over it. Jason says the guy saw him and slipped in a panic, but Bruce isn't sure he believes him, but isn't sure he wants to know the truth either.
He forged a fright mask from his dad’s coffin, then an accident fused it to his face. (Black Mask)
I appreciate that the editing now includes references to the fact the members of The Normies don't remember anything. I could've done with that throughout Naruto...
What a reaction. Love this movie. Glad you guys are being introduced to more DC Lore 🔥
Black Mask’s mask depends on the writer. Some stories have it as a mask while others have it permanently stuck to his face. The Ewan McGregor version is one where he just had a mask. Naturally, they wanted to have Ewan McGregor to show his face as much as possible as Hollywood loves to do.
This version of Black Mask is like if Sonny Corleone became the Godfather or if Trevor from GTA V became a mob boss. He’s so hot-headed and it leads to some hilarious moments 😂

Movie: Shows flashback scene where Jason Todd was young and happy and optimistic
Normies: *makes child labor jokes
This is one of the best DC animated movies of all time. Poor Black Mask is just the bully victim of this entire movie 😂😂 and this Joker is completely insane and is just so perfect.
Jason Todd was the regular Robin twice before being killed. Originally he was a carbon copy of Dick, right down to being an acrobat, but then Crisis on Infinite Earths happened, which was a line wide reboot of the DC Universe. The plan was to update/refresh/streamline the comic line and make it easier to jump into, but Batman was doing just fine before the reboot, so there wasn't much of a need for a major shake up. Rather than keeping him as a copy of Dick, they went the opposite way and he was the son of a criminal killed by Two-Face left fending for himself (which is why he was needing to steal tires to get by).
One of his best stories is trying to save a woman from an abuser who has diplomatic immunity (they loved that in the 80s), after catching him red handed and arrested, the abuser is freed and makes a call to the victim, by the time they get to her, she has already killed herself. This is where the seeds of the Red Hood is planted, we see Robin surprising the abuser on his balcony, then we see the guy falling to his death. Gordon says something like that Robin said "he was surprised and fell, I don't know if I believe him". I vote for that he chucked him off the building, but within the issue it is not certain.
Death in the Family is the story with the call in gimmick, they had two endings worked out, one where Batman is exclaiming that lives and the one that one the poll which is very close to what is shown here. The biggest change is that Jason had gone to find his previously unknown biological mother, and she sold him out to the Joker. After the beating, and being unable to disarm the bomb, he used his body to shield his "mother". Controversially the poll was likely rigged by a fan who used an autodialer to vote every few minutes (the editor says there isn't proof, but that he heard that it happened), the vote was 5,343 votes for Jason's death over 5,271 for his survival-a margin of just 72 votes.
As a fan at the time it was a great story, and terrible aftermath, and it was years of angry sad Batman stories, basically until a very young Tim Drake showed up having figured out Batman's secret identity and became the the Robin.
Micky's a knife guy?! Had to double take when he said "what kind of steel is that? M390? (advanced powder metallurgy steel used in cutlery)

Binge the DCAMU after YJ!!!
Or, and hear me out here, binge all of the DC movies and shows that aren’t in the DCAMU. That way, when they finally tackle it, they go in with standards that will reveal how mid the DCAMU is. There’s a couple of half-decent movies (mostly the Batman and Constantine ones), but the rest are exhaustingly bad, especially the Justice League ones. The only good one was the one that can hardly be called part of the DCAMU because it takes place before that reality exists, Flashpoint Paradox.

the thing is, that Jason doesn't know, is that, in the comics, Bruce did go after the Joker after Jason's death. Two things stopped him from killing the clown. One was the fact that the Joker had somehow managed to become the Iranian ambassador to the UN, thus granting him diplomatic immunity. Bruce, however, doesn't care about starting an international incident, so he goes after the Joker anyway. Superman has to step in and tell Bruce that if he starts an international incident, the UN is gonna order him after Bruce. Bruce backs off, but warns Clark that WHEN the Joker steps out of line, he'll come for him. Joker, of course, steps out of line, Bruce comes after him, and comes very close to beating him to death, but Clark stops him, because he knows that Bruce would never forgive himself if he killed.
When my son was 3 years old I watched this movie 3 times in one day because of him 😅😅 one of my favorite DC animated movies
If this is the start of a DCAU movie journey, I'M 100% ALL IN! 💜
People still blame Batman for "Not Killing" the joker. Yall ik hes a hero and all. But its easy to forget that Batman is litteraly insane. If he kills Joker he will go on a villain killing spree. Yall want him done in, call green arrow.
Batman is not insane. He just never recovered from his trauma. That's why he feels he needs a Robin. The Robins' innocence are what tethers Batman to his humanity. When Jason died in the comics, Batman became more brutal and merciless to the point where Alfred insisted on him taking on Tim Drake as the new Robin because he was worried that Batman might one day kill someone.
Batman is not insane and he wouldn't go on a "killing spree" ffs. Batman doesn't believe he should decide who lives or dies, that is up for the justice system and not him.
Y’all have been killing me for taking so long to upload this!!!!
33:30. It would be hilarious if Black Mask faked a punch at that guy, and when he feints, Black Mask hits him twice while saying, " That TWO for flinching!" 🤣🤣🤣
Love seeing Bat Family centric movies
Yooooo so happy to see Mickey and this reaction
I feel like John DiMaggio should step up as the replacement for Mark Hamil in Joker projects. His voice is haunting and deep.
People keep saying "Oh it's just one kill, you can stop right after". No, it's never just one it always leads to more and more death.
I do agree that the joker needs to die , but batman can't cross that line. Like he said in the movie, it would be too easy to end his life, and after taking just one, it would become easier to start killing the others. Batman would eventually rationalize it, and he will become the thing he hates. Batman killing the joker means at joker wind in the end.
Mickey's name should be "it's 420 somewhere"
The Dark Knight Returns Part One and Two MUST REACT NOW! Lol. It's by far my FAVORITE DC animated film(s).
“It’s because the word hood is in the title” 🤣😭you did not just say that lmaoooo
Fun fact: Jensen Ackles went from voicing Jason Todd's Red Hood, to voice Batman to now be leading in becoming Batman of James Gunn's universe.
He’s not Batman in the new universe lmfao
I think his Batman voice is actually really bad. Like it sounds like he's putting on a voice. Which is weird because Soldier Boy is great.
Amazo was from s1 of Young Justice. So glad that y’all reacted to this Iconic Film
That HOOD joke fucking floored me 😂
You guys got to watch the entire batman dc movie franchise! (Correct me if I'm wrong guys)
1. The killing Joke
2. Son of Batman
3. Batman vs Robin
4. Bad Blood
5. Batman Hush
First time watching this and it was an AMAZING movie! 👏🏾🙌🏾Since I watched the live action Titans series on Max, I can't help but keep thinking about what they did with the Jason Todd storyline. That was great as well. Such a shame that people stopped watching after S2, cause a lot of great stuff happens in S3 and S4❤😄
59:40 There's dozens if not hundreds of crazy villains in Gotham. Killing Joker is barely going to put a dent in crime, if it doesn't outright increase it because criminals don't have to worry about working with a guy who will kill them just because he felt like it.
I’m so glad to see a new reaction to Batman under the red hood it was my favorite movie when I was younger and watching people watch it for the first time is always great
49:54 I love how it looks like Jason Todd has the upper hand until you realize Batman’s been holding back the entire time.
“Have we seen Amazo in Young Justice?” 😂
it’s like why was u even takin notes navi lol
Ok when it comes to killing Joker I always say people need to think who/what gives Batman the authority to murder someone else? If he killed Joker he’d be a murder, you could argue he did it as a form of self defence but it would make him in the strictest sense a killer putting him at the same level as the man who killed his parents. If Batman killed him should he not be judged for it? Batman is already a vigilante breaking multiple laws in order to do what he does which people already choose to overlook (if I broke into your office, looked through your things and took work product because I think your company is breaking the law then beat you into a body cast as I leave you’d call the police and have me arrested) if he killed someone rightly or wrongly you’d have no choice but to call him a criminal and given his skills and talents he’d be the kind of criminal another vigilante or hero would have to stop be the one to stop him.
Batman is not the issue in Gotham it’s Gothams laws and judicial practices as they keep putting Joker in a clearly poorly run and maintained asylum rather than giving him the death penalty or finding other more permanent solutions to punish him for his crimes
Great voice acting by John DiMaggio as Joker. This is my favorite animated Batman film, it really shows how close he can become a murderer like his enemies. Joker was batshit crazy and I love it. The last twenty minutes were brilliant
