Kaitlyn, you are a humble disciple of Jesus. What you are doing is worth all the time you need to collect the parts of the gospel you want to teach. You are making a difference in many lives. You continue to teach the true doctrine of the gospel. You are very consistant and reliable. If there are comments that are negative, the comment comes from someone who wants to stay on the "dark side of the force". These people are trying to overshadow your light. Just put those comments somewhere that you cannot see them ever again. You are aligning youself with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ so that Their light can shine through you. Always stay in that circle of light. Sister and friend also following HIM.

I used to think politics was not something to pursue, but having listened to Hannah Stoddard at the Joseph Smith Foundation, I have come to realize that the political landscape is about liberty. It seems that one side is more about taking away liberties and leaning toward that which is immoral and the other side trying to preserve those liberties and righteousness that our founding fathers based the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution on.
If you go back and listen to your video, you jokingly say “there’s my pity party for the day”. Then immediately you go into quoting Dieter F. Uchtdorf. His first sentence was, in my opinion, words of encouragement to you from the Lord. “As fellow sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father, we have the responsibility and opportunity to promote peace and harmony among all of God’s children.” Hang in there. The Lord sees you.

First time "watcher" here. You are spot on about politics here. I was VERY engaged in conservative politics up until recently. Frankly, I'm really embarrassed about a lot of the things I've said over the years. Conservatives, MAGA, Libertarians, Republicans, Moderates, Democrats, Leftists, Socialists, Communists and every other political party DO NOT have the answer. They are all right in some areas and mostly wrong in all the others. Politicians won't save us. Having "certain people in control" also won't help us. We are broken. REALLY broken. We are not gonna fix this guys. Nor should we. Every single thing, including "The Church" has been touched by corruption. All of it. For the Savior to return, this all goes away. ALL OF IT. We are going to be asked, like Lot's wife, to turn away from all of it and don't look back. This is the telestial world. We are waiting for the terrestrial or "Millennium". It's coming. It's coming soon. In order to live there, you leave ALL of this telestial behind. ALL OF IT. Including the church. We are but one tribe, one branch of Israel. "The Church" isn't taking us there. Go read 3r Nephi. It does not survive. Prepare now and live terrestrial now to the best of your ability. Change your heart. Follow Christ. Love and serve your enemies, no matter the political, social or national background. YOU LOVE THEM MORE THAN YOURSELF. I see none of that in politics. No where. It will lead you to hell. People can always find something to criticize. I have felt like quitting many times. One thing that helps me is to remember that however people respond to us, positive or negative is about them, their opinions and experiences. If it wasn't about them and it was just about the person, then everyone would respond to that person the exact same way. None of us are perfect, and it's easy to criticize. In order to continue, I keep coming back to the same reasons you shared of just wanting to share goodness & light in the best way I know how. Maybe you decide to stop doing the TH-cam channel someday, it is up to you! There are plenty of other ways to put goodness in the world. As long as we own that, we make our own decisions and don't allow others to choose for us! I enjoyed your thoughts and everything you shared. Thank you. Another great video, Kaitlyn. I am thinking very similarly to you, about politicians and politics, and I'm in Canada. There are no good politicians in federal politics here. At least not currently. My focus, lately, has been more on Jesus Christ, and helping others, regardless of what the corrupt politicians are doing. I am more helpful to my neighborhood and town, than I am to someone across the country.

Canadians across the country need to stand up against corruption, no matter the party.

(I Watch Tyler and Taylor) Tyler says we are living in a time where good is percieved as evil and evil is percieved as good. President Dallin H Oaks gave a talk back in April 20/21 On "Defending Our Divinely Inspired Constitution". It was amazing advice for today. Ezra Taft Benson said, "I testify that God send some of His choicest spirits to lay the foundations of the government, and he has now sent others choice spirits to help preserve it!" All that Satan needs is for the good to do nothing. I, personally choose not to lean on the arm of flesh (bias new media outlets) but I am going to listen to the prophets and vote accordingly.
I have a lifelong friend who says, "I'm a musician, not a politician." I concur. I hate politics. I hate the deepening chasm of division it is promulgating. We can't have a debate anymore where we share our views, back it up with our evidence and then listen to the other side. It has been said that the best way to debate is to study the opposing views. Perhaps if we all did that instead of accusing those who don't "side" with us as evil incarnate, we might find out we have more in common than not, and our own views might be swayed. I don’t remember how it came up, but after we hung up, I went back to work. And as I was working, the Lord revealed something to me. This is personal revelation that I’m about to share so this does not reflect the church’s views, this is just what I received. If you take a stance on any issue. Wether it be abortion, or trans issues, or healthcare, you name it. Pick one side of the other, and immediately you are thrusting yourself into contention with half of the world. Those who are pro life are in contention with those who are pro choice. Now we know that the scriptures tell us things will get worse and worse until Jesus returns. Satan rules this world, which means HE owns our politicians. Attempting to do the Lords work through Satans worldly politics is just going cause the spirit of contention to drive out whatever light you have. If you want to do the Lords work, then dedicate your time and energy to the temple and living the gospel, allowing your light to pierce others. I explained this to my grandmother and I told her that these people on the other side, who are fighting to be able to abort their children as late as possible, are children of the god like her and I, who were reserved to be here at this time just like we are. The only difference is that satans tricks worked on them. In the book of Moses, god weeps for his children before sending the flood. If god is the same today as he always has been, which he is, then he weeps for our misled brothers and sisters today as well. If we are to be like god, then we need to sorrowfully pray for them. Not be angry at them. Politics are a scheme by Satan to keep all the children of god in contention with one another. Again, these are my words. Not the churches. So take what I say with a grain of salt.

One day we will know the truth on both sides, but for now, all each of us can do is pray for discernment and vote according to our conscience. I believe each of us will be personally accountable for that one day. We don't need to worry about anyone else's conscience, just our own. But it is good to look upon others with understanding rather than condemnation. ❤

There is a lyric in a song from the 80's that goes something to the effect of, If you decide not to choose, you still have made a choice. By not making a choice, you are basically casting a vote for the greatest evil. Let's say there are 6 people voting and 3 have voted for the candidate you least want to win and two have voted for the other; by withholding your vote, you have given the decision to the one you wanted least.
